Peter King's Terrorist Pal Arrested in Murder Investigation

Congressman Peter King of New York has for too long represented the deeply embedded moral bankruptcy of the American political class in all of it's putrid resplendence. As a trusty regular guest on the Sunday morning propaganda circuit, King can always be counted on to loudly shill and pontificate in favor for the ongoing disembowelment of the US Constitution and the imposition of every single tool in the big fascist tool box upon Americans. This is particularly the case for American Muslims towards whom he has a strange animosity for and they bear the brunt of his constantly fulminating fury. This burning desire to persecute Muslims makes King one of the most bigoted members of Congress and a man who gives even the tea party caucus that is largely comprised of neo-Confederates from from down behind the cornbread curtain in Dixieland a run for their money.

He is the textbook example of a loudmouthed blowhard and is ensconced as the reigning grand poobah of the House Committee on Homeland Security. In his capacity as chairman he constantly abuses his office and brings shame upon America with his ongoing series of anti-Muslim dog and pony shows. These McCarthy style publicity stunts provide King with a taxpayer funded stage upon which he can prance around and exhibit his lunacy to the thrill and adoration of virulent scum of the type who frequent sewers like Front Page Magazine, a sort of Stormfront for anti-Muslim zealots and various and sundry other hot spots for haters looking for a bogeyman. There is nobody who preaches to the choir like Peter King and he is dangerously consumed by ambition. He is right now setting his sights upon the soon to be vacated, powerful chairmanship of the House Intelligence committee when Mike Rogers makes his transition into the right-wing talk radio agitprop world and perhaps even a run at the presidency.

Congressman King, a bully of bullies revels in throwing his ample weight around as though he is some sort of exalted authority on terrorism which in a perverse sort of way he is - at least when one considers the company that he kept with prominent members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army, guys like Gerry Adams who King regularly schmoozed with as a supporter of the cause.

How this inconvenient truth never manages to get mentioned on Meet the Press, Face the Nation, Fox News Sunday, ABC's This Week or any of the other phony 'news' shows is yet another indictment of the corruption of the state-corporate media. In a decent country with a functional media and especially this one where the freedom of the press is enshrined in the First Amendment, Peter King's big fat ass should be slowly roasted over the coals this week by real journalists bearing real questions over the news that his good old terrorist IRA buddy Gerry Adams has now been arrestedin a murder investigation.

Adams has been held for questioning regarding the 1972 disappearance and murder of Jean McConville, a mother of 10 whose "crime" was to have allegedly being an informant but more than likely was that she was seen providing assistance to a wounded soldier. According to the story in The Guardian:

Adams put himself forward for questioning by the Police Service of Northern Ireland in connection with the kidnapping, killing and secret burial of mother of 10, Jean McConville.

The family of the widow whom the IRA "disappeared" just before Christmas 1972 tonight welcomed the arrest and said they hoped it would lead to the whole truth ultimately being exposed about their mother's murder.

The Jean McConville story is one that is particularly cruel in that the doomed woman was disappeared right before Christmas. She was snatched from her home by armed gunmen in front of several of her kids who suffered from the trauma of the abduction and subsequent disappearing for the rest of their lives and live in fear of IRA reprisals to this day. According to an AP story entitled "Victim's kids hope Adams charged in Belfast murder"in which McConville's daughter Helen McKendry and brother provide detail on the incident and their lingering trauma. Gerry Adams, King's pal has long denied his role in the abduction, murder and disappearance but as McHendry told the reporters for the AP story "Everybody, the dogs in the street, knew he was the top IRA man in Belfast at that time". For the background I excerpt the following from the Wikipedia page for the murdered Mrs. McConville:

Jean McConville was abducted from her home in December 1972 by twelve IRA members, both men and women, who brought her to an unknown location. There they killed her with a single bullet to the back of the head, allegedly making her kneel down before shooting her.

Among her abductors was Dolours Price, who has claimed that she was there on the orders of Gerry Adams.

Mrs McConville's body was buried secretly on a beach in County Louth, approximately 50 miles from her home. The IRA did not admit their involvement until over twenty years later, in 1999, when they passed information on the whereabouts of the body.

After a prolonged search, co-ordinated by the Garda Sochána -- during which the search area and time involved was expanded by the Garda -- the search was abandoned, as no body could be located in the area specified by the IRA.

Her body was found in 2003 and to this day Adams continues to deny his involvement and as he is a prominent political figure now has his defenders including King who have his back which is evident in comments from the Congressman after the arrest:

"I've known Gerry Adams for over 30 years. I've never known him not to tell the truth, you may not agree with him but he was always truthful"

King's statement is the epitome of hypocrisy with more than a dash of irony in that in today's Homeland, the security apparatus that he so ardently defends would put Congressman King himself well within the three-hop search pattern analysis. This is what is used by the NSA in their ongoing data-mining activities and dragnet searches that target millions of law-abiding Americans who don't pal around with terrorists the information is then stored in huge facilities like that one out in Utah for some yet to be defined future use. Somehow I doubt that a made man like King is subject to the same scrutiny as the rabble is though.

But I digress...

The particularly cruel aspect of the Jean McConville case is that happened at Christmastime, the very holiday that Republicans including King love to wrap in the luminous aura of sanctimony on an annual basis despite the fact that in this country baby Jesus was long ago relegated to playing second banana to big retail capitalist Santa Claus. That however is a story for another time but I have absolutely no doubt that Peter King thoroughly enjoyed his 1972 Christmas dinner while Jean McConville's body was rotting in an unmarked grave and her children were deprived of their mommy.

Not that anyone would ever accuse a Republican of being anything other than a greedy, self-serving, hypocritical, mean and insensitive prick but Peter King takes this to entirely another level. Sadly though in the very limited system of "representative democracy" that we must adhere to in America a pig like King is able to hold onto a disproportionate amount of power for an extended time due to flaws built into the system despite only representing a small fraction of the national population. The removal of this crazed demagogue and supporter of terrorists can only be achieved by those residing within his own district. The Second Congressional District of New York needs to step up to the plate for the sake of the country and just vote this piece of sh*t out of office come November.

I would hope that for the sake of all of America as well as the concept of justice itself that his opponent will take advantage of his serial hypocrisy and rid us all of this most loathsome man forever.

Insane Demagogue Peter King Goes the Full McCarthy

When it comes to screwing America there are few more guilty than New York’s 2nd Congressional District that continues to return the psychotic bigot Peter King (R-IRA) to his overly prominent position as the craziest bastard in the U.S. Congress. The one thing with King is that he never ceases to amaze with his uncanny ability to one up his latest asinine proclamation with yet another that is even more batshit crazy than the one befor. After an ugly meltdown last week directed at the hated New York Times for an op ed daring to suggest that former government contractor Booz-Allen-Hamilton employee turned NSA leaker be granted “clemency” the rotund little fiend from Long Island blasted the NYT as terrorist appeasers just couldn't let it go. To know King’s history is to understand how truly ridiculous of a tirade that he engaged in because of all people he after all knows quite a bit about appeasing terrorists from his days of supporting the Irish Republican Army when they were killing civilians in cowardly bomb attacks. It takes a set of stones as well as a pathological tendency for hypocrisy that borders on the uncontrollable urges of a pederast to continue to unleash such over the top bullshit but today he did it again.

In a continuation from his vomit inducing performance on Fox News Sunday where he defended the NSA Stasi spying on members of congress (he would fit in well in Stalin or Hitler's regimes with such sentiment) and spewed fascist venom that Senator Rand Paul, an NSA critic is undeserving of his Senate seat, would get Americans killed and who owes serial perjurer James Clapper an apology.  King doubled down by launching yet another  savage attack on Senator Paul on today's Morning Joe program in continuing his tantrum and accusing Barack Obama (a secret Muslim of course to the lunatic fringe of which King is a leader) of allowing the fifth columnist Paul to "create hysteria" and of being a part of the "hate America crowd". It is now obvious that Mr. King has finally gone a bridge too far and is rapidly becoming one hell of a liability for those who supported this unprincipled zealot for so long.

The amazing thing is that King's Sunday anti-Paul, anti-American, anti-Constitutional rant that was so crazed that even the neo-fascist, anti-Muslim bigots at Commentary Magazine denounced it. And when you have lost the support of Commentary you have a serious problem, especially since they were a big cheerleader for King's McCarthyist anti-Muslim tribunals in which tons of taxpayer money was squandered to promote the type of vile bigotry that American foreign policy embarked upon during the PNAC influenced first Bush-Cheney term. I am interested to see what that publication has to say about today's exhibition of lunacy that in any civilized country would have had the man taken into custody, fitted for a straight jacket and sent to sit in the corner of a rubber room. Let us all hope that King's unraveling over the last few days will deliver him his very own McCarthy moment when his despicable conduct earns him a long deserved banishment from the public sphere but who really thinks that will happen? This is after all THE HOMELAND.

The voters in this demonic ass clown’s district should just choose to do the right thing for America for a change and oust the dirty little gangster from office come November 4^th and find someone to send to D.C. who is rational for a change. It really does not reflect well on District 2 to continue to provide the jackboot that the rogue surveillance state continues to stomp up and down on law-abiding American's civil liberties. Perhaps he will be primaried by the so-called Tea Party big money machine given his recent whoring for money to unseat libertarians, hard core conservatives and any and all politicians who don’t support a fascist police state at home and a global war machine abroad. He much more fittingly deserves a similar treatment as that allegedly administered by Korean dictator Kim Jong –un who was said to have fed his uncle to 120 starving dogs but given that I am a dog lover who is adverse to cruelty to animals and that we still aren’t at the point where it is acceptable to feeding enemies of the state to packs of animals  - at least not yet anyway - the best that can be hoped for is that enough people on Long Island are finally able to pull their heads out of their asses and do their patriotic duty by ousting this freak.

Deranged Peter King Accuses NY Times of Terrorist Appeasement

In an epic meltdown the crazed Peter King unloaded on the New York Times for daring to suggest that former government contractor Booz-Allen-Hamilton employee turned NSA leaker Edward Snowden be granted clemency. Long a target of the insane authoritarian demographic that has seized control of the Republican party and conducted a Stalinist style purge of the rational the Times has now become the target of the demagogues pushing to protect their beloved NSA surveillance apparatus. King appeared on Fox News (where else?) in the immediate aftermath of the Times OpEd to spew his rancid bile just as he does when he is conducting his neo-McCarthyist tribunals on taxpayer funds to promote anti-Muslim hatred and stir up fear in order for the surveillance state programs that his type need to go after their massive enemies list. Were King a patriotic American (which he is not) he would use his position as the Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security to investigate the enemies within the system that have been waging war on the constitution since September 11, 2001. This country will never fall to foreign enemy despite the hysterics from lunatics like King and his ilk about a Muslim fifth column and the implementation of Sharia Law but it will be eaten from within by the termites that are the fascist thugs and their pathological obsession for control of everything.

The catalogue of King’s fanatic ravings is already voluminous and the second congressional district out on Long Island should do the rest of the country a favor come November and vote this national disgrace of a politician out of office. He should have no problems finding some local beer hall from which to spew his venom from.  The following excerpt is from a story from the ‘Inside Baseball’ beltway website Politico and sums up King’s comments to the Foxosphere:

"Their editorial today and their whole pattern over the last several years, they’ve really made themselves a blame-America-first rag as far as I’m concerned, and why we exalt The New York Times is beyond me," the New York Republican said on Fox News. "They go out of their way to be apologists for terrorists and go after those in law enforcement and military who are trying to win this war."

King, who has long been a defender and proponent of the National Security Agency, called the editors "a disgrace" and said he wishes they "cared more about America than they did about the rights of terrorists' appeasers." King said NSA programs do not violate the privacy of Americans and that lives are saved because of them.

“And yet, The New York Times races to Mr. Snowden’s defense. They don’t care about American lives being lost," King said. "They have this narrow, liberal, left-wing ideological point of view. They did it to the NYPD; they’re trying to do it to the NSA."

"It’s time for Americans to stand up and reject The New York Times and expose them for the rag that they are."

People like this are the reason that Thorazine was invented.

King’s tirade even one upped washed up right-wing pundit Ann Coulter’s anti-NYT comment that “My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building”. Interestingly this sort of thinking seems to be quite pervasive with certain personality types to whose deviance only allows them to  recognize violence and repression as an answer to all problems, they actually have a good deal in common with real terrorists.  Peter King himself was for a long time an ardent supporter of actual terrorists, the provisional wing of the Irish Republican Army that murdered innocent women and children.

It could be said that the strongest argument yet to be made for dismantling the NSA programs are the figures who have come out in defense of them. Just as Snowden said, such systems would present a regime with even more contempt for the constitution than Obama or Bush-Cheney to use them for the worst purposes imaginable. Turnkey totalitarianism was the term that I believe that the now obviously patriotic whistleblower used and a man like Peter King were he to have the ability, particularly given his history of virulent anti-Muslim bigotry would relish combing through the data accumulated by the NSA to personally put together the pickup lists and begin the inquisitions.

Godwin’s Law be damned, the only way to truly describe Peter King is that the man is a full blown Nazi.

Sunday Morning Propaganda Organs Defend NSA Spying

The usual corporate-state media defenders of Obama’s unconstitutional NSA Stasi surveillance apparatus were busily hosting establishment shills this Sunday morning, performing the usual damage control for the rogue government of The Homeland. It had been another week of damaging revelations, primarily the NSA spying on German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s private communications since 2002. Barry’s ass is in hot water on his goon squads and justifiably so, reports have begun to surface that none other than Obama himself knew about the snooping on Merkel which flies in the face of his statements to the contrary. Being that the reports put the origination of the spying at the beginning of the George W. Bush administration it was a marvelous bit of serendipity when none other than Richard B. Cheney, war criminal and traitor was trotted out on the prestigious electronic platform of ABC’s This Week With George Stephanopoulos.  The former Bill Clinton flack turned celebrity talking head rolled out the red carpet for Cheney in the sort of dignified type of atmosphere more befitting a benevolent former statesman other than a sadistic, lying, torture-mongering, , mass murderer whose disembowelment of the constitution set the standard for Obama’s police state policies.

Stephanopoulos slobbered over the evildoer while lobbing softballs that were easily smacked out of the park by well-prepared talking points. Cheney defended activities of Obama’s NSA Stasi “It's something that we have been involved in for a long time. And the -- I think the unfortunate aspect of it is that Mr. Snowden has, in fact, divulged a lot of information which is damaging to the United States” as well as pimped his deranged neocon daughter Liz’s run for the upcoming Wyoming Senate seat. The bulk of Cheney’s airtime was however dedicated to a continuation of the promotion of standard neocon world dominance doctrine primarily pushing for an attack on Iran, long the apple of the eye of the PNAC imperialists:

“I don’t have a lot of confidence in the administration to be able to negotiate an agreement. I think sanctions offer some prospect of bringing the Iranians around. I’ve talked to my friends in that part of the region. I still know them, a lot of them, and they’re very fearful that the whole Iranian exercise is going to go the same way as the Syrian exercise; that is, that there will be bold talk from the administration. But in the final analysis, nothing effective will be done about the Iranian program,”

Croaked Cheney in his trademark serpentine whisper, his “friends” likely his benefactors in the House of Saud and the right-wing government of Israeli strongman Bibi Netanyahu, two regimes that squeal the loudest for American blood and treasure to be shed to protect their own power base that don’t have the stones to go it alone. Not that I would expect anything else from an elitist turd like Stephanopoulos but a question on Cheney’s view on comments by Republican mega-donor and casino magnate Sheldon Adelson suggesting a nuclear strike on Iran would have been a relevant thing to ask given that he will likely be her sugar daddy.

Following Cheney was arch neocon propagandist William Kristol, a coward’s coward who has never met a Middle East war that he wouldn’t send some other poor bastard off to die in all the while grinning like some obscene Chesire cat. The credibility that is afforded to these ridiculously phony political discussion programs would make probably be an embarrassment to Joseph Goebbels but that is the way we roll in The Homeland. In fact the quicker that the appearances are booked, just look at defense industry pitchmen John McCain and Lindsey Graham who on any given Sunday morning will be seen selling death to credulous viewers along with their morning orange juice. Then of course there is Peter King, a hypocritical fanatic whose anti-Muslim tribunals are an embarrassment to any concept of a free and decent society. The Long Island demagogue routinely rails against “terrorists” yet it is never once pointed out that he himself long supported the militant wing of the Irish Republican Army that murdered civilians with relish.

The ever swinish King was front and center as was the uber-fascist House Intelligence Committee head Mike Rogers, a former FBI agent and by nature a man who gets his rocks off with seeing federal thugs conducting home invasions under mysterious and trumped up evidence. Absent was the usual false equivalence nor any serious alternative voices that place the gross constitutional violations of the big-money surveillance state in a context outside of that permitted by the state.  This is where the mythology of a government paralyzed by internal strife, party civil wars and rancorous partisan paralysis is exposed as the crap that it truly is. When it comes to matters of suppressing civil liberties, hypocrisy, war, torture and thuggery and most of all being able to gather information from everyone on earth for some vague future usage that probably involves “selling” intelligence secrets to big corporations by government operatives for industrial espionage the unified voices of state power are all singing in unison from the same hymnal. King provided Obama with the 'bipartisan' cover for the Merkel surveillance, invoking the treasured talisman of flag-draped fascism 9/11 - "As far as Germany, that's where the Hamburg Plot began, which led to 9/11. They've had dealings with Iran and Iraq, North Korea -- the French and the Germans, other European countries."  It might be noted that the Germans also had past dealings with Nazis, a group that both King and Rogers would fit in very nicely with.

Saturday’s Washington rally against NSA intrusions on privacy predictably get much press here in the fascist states of America, the walkoff World Series win by the St. Louis Cardinals over the Boston Red Sox on a controversial “obstruction” call dominated this morning’s big stories. Whatever coverage that was offered up tried to downplay the number of participants that gathered in D.C., this Reuters story refers to “hundreds” while more reputable foreign news sources reported the presence of “thousands”. I suppose that Reuters is at least technically right being that ten times one hundred equals one thousand but it was just more of the same dishonesty, propaganda and outright balderdash that is spoon fed to the lemmings by a media teeming with rats, paid operatives and careerists that long ago abrogated the responsibility of a free press that the First Amendment was supposed to guarantee.

Be sure not to miss tonight's 60 Minutes, which will feature former CIA official Michael Morrell capping off the day vilifying former Booz Allen government contractor employee and NSA whistleblower for revealing the existence of the "black budget".  In a preview of what promises to be a grand promenade of big fascist government lies Morrell cries wolf that Snowden has put Americans in danger and that outing the black budget is - "I think this is the most serious leak-- the most serious compromise of classified information in the history of the U.S. intelligence community".  It does'nt take much to see who the true enemies of America are, just turn on your television every Sunday morning.

Obama Embraces Fear as the Coin of the Realm

Under fire for his NSA Stasi’s trolling and compiling of the phone and internet records of law-abiding Americans and smarting over being humiliated by Russia’s granting of asylum to Edward Snowden, El Presidente reached into his predecessor’s playbook and played the fear card. Since September 11, 2001 hyping the threat of terrorism has been the most kick ass club in the bag. The Obama regime for the most part has largely refrained from using it until this week. With the administration seething over being rebuked by Russia after weeks of bullying it was finally time to bring the back the invocation of the threat of the other as a distraction and to justify the unconstitutional mass surveillance programs.  

The state media has been in rare form the last two days, hyping an imminent threat to American citizens abroad due to a reputed threat from Al-Qaeda. Excuse me if this all sets off my overly sensitive personal B.S. detector. After all, I do remember the years when the Bush administration was riding tall the saddle, largely because they knew full well that in post 9/11 America that FEAR had become the coin of the realm. Unlike most TV addled and forgetful Americans I remember with crystal clarity the multi-colored terror alert charts that Tom Ridge would trot out whenever the Bush-Cheney junta needed political cover. Ridge to his credit came out and admitted that the threat levels were manipulated for political purposes but the color coded alert system became an albatross and was eventually discarded. Now that Obama’s insipid regime is cornered like rats it is no surprise that they are now going to the well by conjuring up the Muslim bogeyman.

The fear-mongering of which I refer to is the hysteria over an Al-Qaeda overseas threat to Americans issued by Obama’s State Department. Not that crazy things do not happen, when you are an empire, occupying countries, supporting torturers and murders and murdering innocent civilians with bombs and drones people tend to become upset and fight back. The definition of terrorism has become so skewed so as to become virtually meaningless in the 21st Century United States of Orwell. Guerrilla warfare or attacks by those with no power against foreign symbols and institutions in lands being colonized by corporations, using the U.S. military as their henchmen and ruthless private mercenaries for the real wet work are common. In fact this has been the norm rather than the exception throughout history. The technical term for such incidents is blowback and it is insane or stupid to not believe that becoming oppressors of people in foreign lands for the sake of plundering their natural resources, installing hand-picked despots as their leaders and keeping the money rolling in for the defense industry will not result in blows against the empire. Terrorism is more of a political term, it worked like a dream for Hitler as his enemies were slaughtered, imprisoned and worse and it worked like a dream for Bush and Cheney in launching their ruinous adventures in Iraq and Afghanistan, wars of choice that have done more to bankrupt this once great country than anything else and Obama and the establishment are practically wetting their pants to go into Syria and if crazed Senator Lindsey Graham gets his way Iran. 

The establishment is putting a lot into this weekend's alert, closing many U.S. embassies on Sunday and hoping for violence that would serve up some breathing room on the calls for reigning in the NSA. I suspect that something will happen too, such is the pattern of serendipity when the imperial police state has a need to justify further crackdowns on civil liberties. Now there is the insertion into the narrative of impending doom of the fanatical  Peter King, the porcine anti-Muslim bigot who on Friday stated:

“We’re not certain exactly where something might happen but it’s very specific as to when and it’s also very specific as to the fact that it is going to happen, so we have to be on alert everywhere”

King, who should be an expert on real terrorists given his ardent support for the civilian murdering IRA will undoubtedly show up on at least one of the Sunday morning masturbatory fests to defend Obama's NSA and to call for further restrictions on American freedoms. With a bit of luck he can even gather up another of his anti-Muslim inquisitions where he will whore himself out to the media and set more precedent for such kangaroo courts when it becomes policy to start hauling other Americans in front of them as well. 

But I digress...

The very definition of "terrorist" has been deliberately rendered vague here in Der Homeland, prior to this week there has been an ongoing effort to begin to shift the threat of surveillance justifying 'terrorism' inward. I reference this very recent story about Michele Catalano, a Long Island woman whose home was stormed by government goons after unconstitutional spying on her household's internet activity found that she was looking up information on a pressure cooker. Her son was using the internet to research the Boston Marathon bombings and her husband was looking for a backpack. This is absolutely true and is yet more evidence of how out of control Obama's Stasi is. I excerpt the following from the story via The Guardian: 

I felt a sense of creeping dread take over. What else had I looked up? What kind of searches did I do that alone seemed innocent enough but put together could make someone suspicious? Were they judging me because my house was a mess (Oh my god, the joint terrorism task force was in my house and there were dirty dishes in my sink!). Mostly I felt a great sense of anxiety. This is where we are at. Where you have no expectation of privacy. Where trying to learn how to cook some lentils could possibly land you on a watch list. Where you have to watch every little thing you do because someone else is watching every little thing you do.
 All I know is if I'm going to buy a pressure cooker in the near future, I'm not doing it online.
 I'm scared. And not of the right things.

I myself must wonder whether a paramilitary goon squad is going to visit me now that I have done queries on pressure cookers, terrorism and other red-flag terms while writing this today, in this sorry husk of what used to be a free country anything is possible anymore. With the bar now lowered so as to turn even such normal behavior as the Catalano family doing web searches for household cooking items into suspected 'terrorist' activity what can't be considered as such? The entire system is being tweaked so as to allow for the future roundup of Americans whose data will be stored in that massive NSA facility in Utah. We already know that there exists the capability to do three-hop queries and that there are indeed plans in place to abduct and detain American citizens. This will likely happen when the big collapse comes, the economic collapse that has been so deftly covered up and put off by Obama's financial alchemists and state media propagandists and is a ticking time bomb that could detonate at any time  It is simply unsustainable and when it blows it is going to be a society killer. 

It could be two days, two months or two years but the day to pay the piper is coming and it won't be the culprits who will have to shell out their pound of flesh.
