Idiocracy: Obama Official Doesn't Know Geography of Country U.S. is to Bomb

In a sign of our sad times of moral and intellectual decline, a White House official involved in a briefing with reporters prior to dear leader's big speech on ISIS divulged the dismal quality of this administration. Going to war is a gravely serious matter and launching a new one - as Obama did with his nationally televised decree - should be seriously thought out. Shooting from the hip, particularly in an election year when politics take priority over reasonable decision making should be forbidden. There are long-term consequences to the nation as well as lives at risk whenever there is a commitment to go to war and it is not something that should be taken lightly nor presided over by idiots.

We are talking about dealing in American blood and treasure here and if our servicemen and women are to be sent into battle in a foreign land the very least that they can expect is that there will be the utmost of competence by those who dispatch them there. It is very hard to find such competence when an administration is as packed with morons, lackeys, cronies, ass-kissers and buffoons as this one is. The case in point being that someone within the Obama Department of Dumbassery doesn't even understand the simple geography of a country that is about to be bombed by the U.S. military.

According to a story in The Washington Post entitled "White House struggles with Mideast geography":

Maybe before they extend the airstrikes against the Islamic State too far, the White House might want to double check the geography.

Obama administration officials, briefing reporters before the president’s Wednesday night televised speech, made it clear that borders, especially the border between Syria and Iraq, will not be an impediment to U.S. airstrikes.

Speaking “on background,” one official said, “We are dealing with an organization that operates freely across the border, so we will not be restrained by that border in our determination to conduct airstrikes against ISIL (or IS or ISIS or the Islamic State).”

Then a second official reemphasized that a number of countries in the region were worried about the ISIS threat moving across borders. One of the briefers noted that the terrorist army “has been I think a galvanizing threat around the Sunni partners in the region. They view it as an existential threat to them. Saudi Arabia has an extensive border with Syria.”

This was truly news. So we checked our own maps. No, Saudi Arabia doesn’t have an extensive border with Syria. Jordan has a rather large chunk of land between them.

Can somebody please start the impeachment proceedings now?  Rank and file, low-information types calling for military action against a country that they are unable to identify on a map is understandable. However, when it comes to government officials the bar should be set much higher. It is like we have finally reached the point where the cult-classic movie Idiocracy has become a prophecy as to the future of America.

Explosive New Seymour Hersh Piece on Syria and Benghazi Lies

Investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has delivered a devastating hit on that narrowly avoided war on Syria that was sold to the public by President Barack Obama and his minions based on a pack of lies. Just as George W. Bush and Dick Cheney did with their hogwash about Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction and Condi Rice's apocalyptic conjecture about smoking guns and mushroom clouds so was the Bashar al Assad regime's alleged sarin gas attack on civilians in the Damascus suburb of Ghouta. The push for another of those great Middle East military interventions in accordance with the neocon PNAC/Clean Break manifestos was a massive coordinated effort, fully assisted by the same corrupt state-corporate media that has been feverishly hyping Cold War II as well as the warmongering cowardly swine in Congress. The whole thing nearly went down too until Obama decided at the last minute to draw in the Congress as being co-owners of what would have been yet another costly foreign disaster. At that point the latest foreign policy disaster was fortunately avoided although it would have lasting repercussions with 'allies' as well as the neocons.

Hersh's piece which is published in the London Review of Books is entitled "The Red Line and the Rat Line" and among other things implicates the government of Turkey in what was a false flag attack designed to provoke the narcissistic amateur in the White House into honoring his vow to enforce his "Red Line" of chemical weapons use by the Assad government as a trigger for war. I excerpt some bits of this very long article below: 

Last August, after the sarin attack on the Damascus suburb of Ghouta, he was ready to launch an allied air strike, this time to punish the Syrian government for allegedly crossing the ‘red line’ he had set in 2012 on the use of chemical weapons. Then with less than two days to go before the planned strike, he announced that he would seek congressional approval for the intervention. The strike was postponed as Congress prepared for hearings, and subsequently cancelled when Obama accepted Assad’s offer to relinquish his chemical arsenal in a deal brokered by Russia. Why did Obama delay and then relent on Syria when he was not shy about rushing into Libya? The answer lies in a clash between those in the administration who were committed to enforcing the red line, and military leaders who thought that going to war was both unjustified and potentially disastrous.

Obama’s change of mind had its origins at Porton Down, the defence laboratory in Wiltshire. British intelligence had obtained a sample of the sarin used in the 21 August attack and analysis demonstrated that the gas used didn’t match the batches known to exist in the Syrian army’s chemical weapons arsenal. The message that the case against Syria wouldn’t hold up was quickly relayed to the US joint chiefs of staff. The British report heightened doubts inside the Pentagon; the joint chiefs were already preparing to warn Obama that his plans for a far-reaching bomb and missile attack on Syria’s infrastructure could lead to a wider war in the Middle East. As a consequence the American officers delivered a last-minute caution to the president, which, in their view, eventually led to his cancelling the attack.

For months there had been acute concern among senior military leaders and the intelligence community about the role in the war of Syria’s neighbours, especially Turkey. Prime Minister Recep Erdoğan was known to be supporting the al-Nusra Front, a jihadist faction among the rebel opposition, as well as other Islamist rebel groups. ‘We knew there were some in the Turkish government,’ a former senior US intelligence official, who has access to current intelligence, told me, ‘who believed they could get Assad’s nuts in a vice by dabbling with a sarin attack inside Syria – and forcing Obama to make good on his red line threat.’

The joint chiefs also knew that the Obama administration’s public claims that only the Syrian army had access to sarin were wrong. The American and British intelligence communities had been aware since the spring of 2013 that some rebel units in Syria were developing chemical weapons. On 20 June analysts for the US Defense Intelligence Agency issued a highly classified five-page ‘talking points’ briefing for the DIA’s deputy director, David Shedd, which stated that al-Nusra maintained a sarin production cell: its programme, the paper said, was ‘the most advanced sarin plot since al-Qaida’s pre-9/11 effort’.

Last May, more than ten members of the al-Nusra Front were arrested in southern Turkey with what local police told the press were two kilograms of sarin. In a 130-page indictment the group was accused of attempting to purchase fuses, piping for the construction of mortars, and chemical precursors for sarin. Five of those arrested were freed after a brief detention. The others, including the ringleader, Haytham Qassab, for whom the prosecutor requested a prison sentence of 25 years, were released pending trial. In the meantime the Turkish press has been rife with speculation that the Erdoğan administration has been covering up the extent of its involvement with the rebels. In a news conference last summer, Aydin Sezgin, Turkey’s ambassador to Moscow, dismissed the arrests and claimed to reporters that the recovered ‘sarin’ was merely ‘anti-freeze’.

In the months before the attacks began, a former senior Defense Department official told me, the DIA was circulating a daily classified report known as SYRUP on all intelligence related to the Syrian conflict, including material on chemical weapons. But in the spring, distribution of the part of the report concerning chemical weapons was severely curtailed on the orders of Denis McDonough, the White House chief of staff. ‘Something was in there that triggered a shit fit by McDonough,’ the former Defense Department official said. ‘One day it was a huge deal, and then, after the March and April sarin attacks’ – he snapped his fingers – ‘it’s no longer there.’ The decision to restrict distribution was made as the joint chiefs ordered intensive contingency planning for a possible ground invasion of Syria whose primary objective would be the elimination of chemical weapons.

 The former intelligence official said that many in the US national security establishment had long been troubled by the president’s red line: ‘The joint chiefs asked the White House, “What does red line mean? How does that translate into military orders? Troops on the ground? Massive strike? Limited strike?” They tasked military intelligence to study how we could carry out the threat. They learned nothing more about the president’s reasoning.’

In the aftermath of the 21 August attack Obama ordered the Pentagon to draw up targets for bombing. Early in the process, the former intelligence official said, ‘the White House rejected 35 target sets provided by the joint chiefs of staff as being insufficiently “painful” to the Assad regime.’ The original targets included only military sites and nothing by way of civilian infrastructure. Under White House pressure, the US attack plan evolved into ‘a monster strike’: two wings of B-52 bombers were shifted to airbases close to Syria, and navy submarines and ships equipped with Tomahawk missiles were deployed. ‘Every day the target list was getting longer,’ the former intelligence official told me. ‘The Pentagon planners said we can’t use only Tomahawks to strike at Syria’s missile sites because their warheads are buried too far below ground, so the two B-52 air wings with two-thousand pound bombs were assigned to the mission. Then we’ll need standby search-and-rescue teams to recover downed pilots and drones for target selection. It became huge.’ The new target list was meant to ‘completely eradicate any military capabilities Assad had’, the former intelligence official said. The core targets included electric power grids, oil and gas depots, all known logistic and weapons depots, all known command and control facilities, and all known military and intelligence buildings.

This thing is incredible and in addition to what is the involvement of a NATO ally in what appears to be a false flag gassing of civilians to instigate a US war on Syria is explosive. There were many skeptics about what was obviously a cooked up excuse to bomb Syria but they were nowhere to be found in the pathetic US media the majority of which sent out the presstitutes to wave their pom poms for the military action. Just look at the incessant propagandizing of the last several months over Putin and Russia, it could be reasonably suspected that a good amount of that as well as the  neocon led crusade for a regime change in Moscow can be tied back to Putin's assistance in preventing what would be a Middle East war backed on lies and involving a false flag attack. Sound familiar?

And the brief excepts that I chose didn't even include Benghazi, the Republican chief inquisitioner Darrell Issa aka Congressman Grand Theft Auto has pissed away millions of US taxpayer money on whatever limited hangout he could use to grandstand while avoiding actually looking into the truth. Hersh's piece blows the lid off of what now appears to be a covert weapons trafficking scheme run out of the Benghazi consulate to supply the Syrian militant rebels, the "rat line" referred to in Hersh's title. While the neocons and media are relentlessly jacking each other off over Cold War II what we really appear to have is Iran-Contra II with non other than the sainted General Petraeus showing up ala Colonel Oliver North.

There will be more on this coming as the article is dissected by honest writers in the alternative media and trashed in the state-corporate press. This really and truly could lead to Obama's impeachment, the Iran-Contra cowboys nearly took down Ronald Reagan and the same thing could happen to the current so-called leader of the free world.

Syrian Debacle Postponed For Now

Barack H. Obama’s much heralded prime time television speech the other night has only served to temporarily delay the launching of WW III. With widespread public rejection of this latest foreign policy fiasco Obama’s latest love affair with the teleprompter truly only served to kick the can down the road a ways and at the same time save face for his foolhardy “red line” statement.  There is however far too much money to be made by the warfare industry to simply allow this wonderful opportunity to increase the bottom line to go to waste.  It is already being reported that the worlds preeminent terrorist organization, the CIA is now ramping up their arming of the rebels, many of them Islamic lunatics with Al Qaeda connections.  Just imagine the sick irony of our current regime using taxpayer money in arming the same radical Islamist group behind the devastating attacks of September 11, 2001 that then allowed a rogue government to flip the off switch on over two centuries of American democracy and transform the U.S.A. into a full blown fascist police state.  One that is fueled by the never ending wars which in turn serve the elite in justifying the endless shakedown of honest and decent Americans to fund the surveillance industrial complex hydra that is devouring our freedoms like a ravenous cancer.

To his credit Barry didn’t directly take a dump on the graves of the 9/11 victims by invoking that day as justification for his Syrian attack which I found to be surprising.  The only time that he really did veer into that territory was his cunning insinuation that attacking would protect the children in America in the future from some vague threat. Kind of like the propaganda that Saddam would supply WMD to terrorists who would then bring them to America to use because they hate us for our way of life. He is far slicker than his predecessor in that manner but his speech was as loathesome and dishonest as any ever given by George W. Bush or for that matter ANY president.  Obama broke out the XL manure shovel for his absurd invocations of American exceptionalism, trumped up moral outrage and historical references to cover his own ass while providing more time for a smoking gun to be discovered in Syria . I hope that you had your hip waders on if you even bothered to watch that gross perversion of what used to mean to be an American before the swine hijacked the entire system. Barry then served up a generous slice of yellowcake with his invocation of the gassed kids:

The situation profoundly changed, though, on August 21st, when Assad’s government gassed to death over 1,000 people, including hundreds of children. The images from this massacre are sickening: men, women, children lying in rows, killed by poison gas, others foaming at the mouth, gasping for breath, a father clutching his dead children, imploring them to get up and walk.

On that terrible night, the world saw in gruesome detail the terrible nature of chemical weapons and why the overwhelming majority of humanity has declared them off-limits, a crime against humanity and a violation of the laws of war.

This was not always the case. In World War I, American G.I.s were among the many thousands killed by deadly gas in the trenches of Europe. In World War II, the Nazis used gas to inflict the horror of the Holocaust. Because these weapons can kill on a mass scale, with no distinction between soldier and infant, the civilized world has spent a century working to ban them. And in 1997, the United States Senate overwhelmingly approved an international agreement prohibiting the use of chemical weapons, now joined by 189 governments that represent 98 percent of humanity.

On August 21st, these basic rules were violated, along with our sense of common humanity. No one disputes that chemical weapons were used in Syria. The world saw thousands of videos, cell phone pictures, and social media accounts from the attack, and humanitarian organizations told stories of hospitals packed with people who had symptoms of poison gas.

Moreover, we know the Assad regime was responsible. In the days leading up to August 21st, we know that Assad’s chemical weapons personnel prepared for an attack near an area where they mix sarin gas. They distributed gas masks to their troops. Then they fired rockets from a regime-controlled area into 11 neighborhoods that the regime has been trying to wipe clear of opposition forces. Shortly after those rockets landed, the gas spread, and hospitals filled with the dying and the wounded.

We know senior figures in Assad’s military machine reviewed the results of the attack and the regime increased their shelling of the same neighborhoods in the days that followed. We’ve also studied samples of blood and hair from people at the site that tested positive for sarin.

When dictators commit atrocities, they depend upon the world to look the other way until those horrifying pictures fade from memory, but these things happened. The facts cannot be denied.

Despite his heart-wrenching appeals to emotion what Mr. Obama left out is the very critical fact that it is total bullshit that Assad actually ordered the gassing.  The whole scaffolding of the case for war collapses without that Hitlerian whopper and other than King Barack’s secret evidence there is still no proof that the Assad regime was responsible for anything other than fighting a civil war insurgency. Sadly, the only effective piece of his entire sales job is the poor children and it works to perfection to those prone to knee jerk reactions and a taste for bellicose rhetoric. Yesterday two of armchair bombardiers that I know, both of whom HATE Obama as if he were Satan himself were backing Barry and his administration’s carpet bombing of Damascus based solely on the “he gassed his own people” sham. The entire speech had sensible people scrambling for their barf bags, it is really hard to take a man who presides over a country with huge stocks of chemical weapons including the white phosphorous and depleted uranium that were used to kill untold thousands of civilians in Iraq seriously.  This man has no shame and it is a travesty that he was ever elected to the highest office in the land,  Barry would not know morality and “common humanity” if they sneaked up behind him and bit him in the ass.  That speech was an insult to every American who understands our how great our country once was and how rotten that things have become today thanks to hustlers and pimps like Obama, Kerry and their ilk.

Much to the chagrin of the de-facto Pentagon lobbyists the job of selling the Syria war hasn’t been the cakewalk that it was anticipated and it just became a bit worse when Elizabeth O’Bagy, a War Street Journal’s op ed writer was dumped for misrepresenting her credentials. O’Bagy was an invaluable resource to the warmongers John McCain and John Kerry as they built their case for military intervention in Syria. The truth is that she was a paid shill for yet another of those noxious neoconservative think tanks, this one called the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) that have been so influential in ensnaring America in the Middle Eastern morass.  But Obama and his neocon buddies won’t stop just because a member of their marketing team  has been outed as a pathological liar, they are ever more determined now than ever. It must have been especially galling for the criminals who run this place to have had to endure the humiliation of Vladimir Putin coming out of this all smelling like a rose and looking like a rational player with an interest in the preservation of peace. The New York Times editorial by the Russian leader in today’s edition was the equivalent of rubbing kosher salt into a still festering wound. Putin’s hilariously balls out take on all of the amateurish Obama administration’s propaganda and talking points as well as the Russian leader’s preaching from the moral high ground he now occupies must have elitist assholes puckering from sea to shining sea. I recall my liberal friends in the early days of the administration’s first four years as fantasizing of Obama being the chess master and the Michael Jordan of national and global politics, just laying back and studying the opposition like the basketball great and when the time was right he would explode, destroying the Detroit Pistons Bad Boys defense and winning the title. It is pretty obvious now that he has just been slam dunked by Putin, a professional who seems to delight in exposing our dear leader as the rank and easily manipulated incompetent buffoon that he is.

So for now while the attack has been temporarily postponed pending further revelations of intelligence community lies that will be peddled by El Presidente to the public because hell hath no fury like a narcissist scorned. Get ready because today Barry once again renewed the unspoken but ongoing state of emergency that was declared by the Bushreich three days after  9/11.  This rotten administration is going to have its Syrian war and God help anyone who opposes him as he now wields the full power and fury of the police state and will unleash it with impunity upon those who dare to stand behind him and his precious legacy of a war president. What they did to the Occupy movement by sanctioning and supporting police brutality is nothing .It is just a matter of waiting for notoriously short attention spanned Americans to become distracted and forget about Syria altogether. Hey, it’s now NFL football season and Dancing With the Stars will have the latest season debut next week + both of which will make it easier for Barry to break bad.

The sheeple will soon be conditioned to just stop worrying and learn to love the bomb.

Obama Goes into C.Y.A. Mode after Kerry's Rhetorical Blunder

During his six interview public relations blitz on Monday Barack Hussein Obama took advantage of a “breakthrough” in the ongoing media promoted Syria crisis to cover his own ass.  With public opinion polls showing a majority of Americans opposed to this latest idiotic and most ill-advised war of all the pope of hope capitalized on a John Kerry blunder. The Secretary of Skull and Bones provided the surprise out when he stated that the Assad regime could simply turn over all of the chemical weapons to an internationally neutral party to avoid war. The hated Russia rapidly moved to get their man in Damascus, Bashar Al-Assad to agree with their using Kerry’s opening to ride to the rescue, for the time not only preventing WW III but managing to look more rational and democratic than the fascist ruled U.S.  The entire scenario was made possible when the loutish buffoon Kerry developed one of his trademark cases of diarrhea of the mouth. During his wall to wall sales pitch for bogus secret intelligence on that affixed the Assad regime with complete responsibility for the Ghouta gas attack, he let slip that such a move would by Assad would be a game changer. His exact and widely mocked dialogue that turned him and his boss into Putin’s bitches for the second time in less than two months was – “Sure, he could turn over every bit of his weapons to the international community within the next week, without delay,” “But he isn’t about to.” The savvy Russians and Syria jumped on it like starved pitbulls advancing on a cornered rat and Barry had to put his missiles away – for the time being that is. The behind the scenes work by the war machine continues.

It is nice to see the liar Kerry hoisted on his own petard. His hypocrisy on this new war  turns his famous and phony Vietnam statement on its head by pushing to be the one who would ensure that some poor bastard will be the first one to die for a mistake. Even as Barry dances a dervish of spin in front of a national audience  Kerry is backing off his words, stating that it was only a “rhetorical” statement and not an actual condition of hitting the brakes on WW III. Obama must be delighted in that now he has a chance to save face by appearing to be a man of reason and just postpone the attack for awhile until either Syria is unable to comply within the given time frame to disarm or another chemical attack of dubious origin magically occurs to bolster the case. It is Saddam 101 taken right out of the playbook of Bush and Cheney’s neocon regime. Just use the extra time to move the goalposts so far out of Syrian range that there will be no way on God’s green earth that they can be met and hope for another mysterious gas attack on women and children. Am I Cynical?  Yes but the bastards who run this place are the most cynical creatures on two legs led by the hyena in chief himself. I am but an amateur.

So tonight will the much-awaited national address by El Presidente and there will most certainly be talk of weapons of mass destruction and inevitable references to September 11, 2001 as today is after all the eve of the twelfth anniversary of the granddaddy of all ‘terrorist’ attacks that became the lynchpin for our star-spangled police state. 9/11 is the event that forever changed America and changed it for the absolute worst. Every insane transgression against civil liberties has been undertaken because of the elite’s exploitation of that tragedy to reinforce their own positions of privilege as well as to create an impenetrable bulwark between us and them. It has been twelve years of dumbness, fear, rancor, racism, religious intolerance, government spying, corporate cronyism, war, gun-grabbing, political corruption and the government extraction of tax payer money to pay for their own enslavement by an out of control national security state that has made trillions since that day. Mr. Obama will be the latest to wantonly abuse it for political gain as he delivers his stemwinder tonight, patting himself on the back for avoiding an immediate war on Syria while facilitating those who are now putting into place the impossible conditions upon which Assad will soon be crucified upon.

In a side note Obama’s likely successor Hillary Clinton is revved up for war and ready for the U.S. war machine to kick ass and take names. For now Barry has once again emerged as the Teflon coated snake oil salesman that he always has been and dodges accountability for his enormously stupid “red line” ultimatum. But like a predatory animal laying low in the weeds he will bide his time and go for the kill as soon as the coast is clear for him to burnish his elite credentials and bask in the glory of being a war president.

Common Sense: Obama Flack's Condescending Pitch for War

With still absolutely zero proof that the regime of Syrian Bashar Al-Assad ordered the Ghouta gassing the hucksters in the Obama administration are now descending into the territory normally inhabited by used car salesmen.  Barry’s Chief of Staff Denis McDonough made the rounds on the Sunday morning bloviation circuit to pimp the coming unprovoked attack on Syria. In a storming of the sets of all five major talking head shows it was a feat of McCainesque proportions and a triumph to the ability of the fascist warfare state to splice modern technology with a Joseph Goebbels style message. With the war pornography of convulsing kiddies in excruciating agony already being promoted by CNN to manufacture consent in order to break down the defenses of many minds with pure, raw emotion the playing field was in essence prepped. Now it is time for the Obama game of thrones to demonstrate his power as a real, live war president.

It was during the McDonough Sunday whirlwind that the latest in the line of shifting rationales for Obama and Kerry’s attack was floated as a trial balloon. You see, hissed McDonough, his serpentine tongue flickering, the war can be justified if Americans would only apply the “common sense test” in order to to firmly affix the devil horns onto Assad. Just eat your broccoli like good children, shut up and trust us. This evil man is gassing his own people, just like Saddam did to Iranians with the full backing of the U.S. Notably, a story in the Sunday edition of the  New York Times despite blaming Syria’s compiling of chemicals on “Iran” and “Russia”, what should have been the lead was buried in that the story acknowledges that “some of the chemicals came from Western European suppliers and even a handful of American companies”.  This of course did not make it into McDonough’s talking points which should surprise nobody who understands the big con that is being played now.

So this is what it now comes down to in our sad state of  deteriorating Idiocracy in that the flouting of international law, defying the will of the American people and potentially starting WW III no longer even merits any actual proof. In addition to the dispensing of easily digestible lemming food by Mr. McDonough the rationale for this disaster in the making is also shifting now.  It isn’t even so much the twitching, gasping babies anymore that calls for a shock and awe response – it is tosend a message to Iran.  Now that the cat has been let out of the bag it is only more despicable and criminal for this grotesque perversion of an administration to continue to push the preposterous folderol of the chemical weapons attack on Syrian civilians as justification for war. It has all been preordained, the Project for the New American Century (PNAC)  is back on again after a four year interregnum. The first term of Barack H. Obama was all stagecraft, an elaborate hoax to fumigate the stench of Bush-Cheney and to put a friendly face on the same bloody imperialism that can only end in world conquest or world destruction. The Fozzie Bear fascism of Obama is exactly that, the proverbial iron fist was only concealed in a velvet glove but when it comes to the slaughter of innocents there is no difference, in the end they are just as dead. A statement that can also be used in regards to the still undetermined number of victims of the Ghouta gassing, are they really any more dead than if they were just so much “collateral damage” from one of Obama’s drone strikes or from Bush’s bombs and white phosphorous?

So we all wait with baited breath as Barry’s crackerjack team of liars, spin doctors and technicians  diligentlywork to put together tomorrow night’s teleprompter fodder. There are far too many who need no convincing whatsoever. The liberal apologist O-Bots, the misguided identity based groups who have been convinced that Obama has their back and the low information news consumer who wallows in state propaganda and wears his/her willful ignorance on their sleeve as though it were a badge of honor. There are those who are sick and tired  of war and want the government to fix what is wrong in America but they will be quickly and efficiently marginalized once the great dictator has spoken and his media smear machine does the rest. Congress? Please. A gaggle of contemptibly corrupt swine with closets chock a block full of skeletons and huge files aplenty in the archives of the NSA Stasi will rubberstamp Obama’s war with a resounding cadence of hundreds of jackboots stomping in unison.

The impeachment proceedings for Barry and the accompanying war crimes trials for the bitches and bastards in his administration cannot begin soon enough. The Hague will have to open another wing for these swine.

The Obama War Machine's Propaganda Blitzkrieg

As Obama’s propaganda onslaught begins the burgeoning  media promoted “bromance” with former rival John McCain is an essential selling point for the coming murder of Syrian civilians. McCain, as bloodthirsty a bastard as this country has seen since the legendary General Curtis LeMay has never met a war that he couldn’t get behind. I suspect that a good deal of the old war criminal’s support for the American war machine derives from his role as the Pentagon’s de-facto king lobbyist, the rest of course is that he is a psychopath. The media’s favorite bloodsucking vampire was out on Monday making the case for the coming carnage with his trusty sidekick Lindsey Graham at his side and braying that the failure of Congress to rubber stamp Barry’s war would be “catastrophic”. The state media today (led by the NY Times which helped lie the country into Iraq) is trumpeting that Barry has landed the support of Bombs Away McCain as a backer of WW III. Call it the bravery of being out of range as  chickenhawks who never served in the military,  neocons of dubious national loyalty and self-proclaimed “mavericks” who never had to actually look one of those he killed in the eye (rather he dropped bombs on them) are again lining up to support the latest and perhaps final war for the U.S. Empire.

Yet it is foreign countries that are the ones doing the most pushing for U.S. entry into Syria. The culprits are ‘allies’ Saudi Arabia and Israel, both of which have missiles and military of their own yet want Americans to self-immolate and prostrate themselves in order to fight their damned war. Israel is making matters worse by reportedly engaging in a missile test in the Mediterranean, causing the Russians to react with alarm as the Obama regime has now sent forth the USS Nimitz carrier group into the Red Sea. Russia’s reaction is merited considering that the area is now packed with heavily armed naval vessels that are ready to rock on command. There is also the matter of our petulant emperor who  is still seething over Putin’s granting of asylum to former Booz Allen leaker Edward Snowden and despite the political theater of having congress sign off on his war has an itchy trigger finger as well as a demonstrable lack of morality. Secretary of Skull and Bones John Kerry has reportedly reassured Israeli leader Bibi Netanyahu that the plans for war are still on and has made it crystal clear that vote or no vote that Lord Obama has the authority to start the war on his own. Kerry has also been thickly slathering on the WW II “good war” metaphors as grist to the state media propaganda mills, inevitably comparing Syrian leader Assad to Hitlerand now proclaiming that the upcoming congressional vote is their very own “Munich moment”.  To illustrate just how outrageous that Kerry’s hypocrisy is there are stories now surfacing that he not long ago dined with “Hitler” along with both of their wives and at the time was saying that “Syria is an essential player in bring peace and stability to the region”.  The man is a absolute charlatan, his ginned up outrage over chemical weapons use is a mockery as his self-serving history shows he  fought for the very country that dumped millions of tons of Agent Orange indiscriminately on civilians in Vietnam.

The other foreign entity pushing for Obama to attack Syria is Saudi Arabia, our “partners in peace”and lo and behold who has resurfaced but Bandar Bush himself. Prince Bandar is working furiously to have the Obama administration attack and topple Assad and to provide the pigs of a loathsome and oppressive Saudi monarchy with more power in the region. There are currently reports, although I cannot vouch for their veracity that are starting to get out that Bandar himself is responsible for the chemicals that facilitated the Ghouta gassing. The story is from a Minnesota based website Mint Press News which possibly has been stormed by Obama’s government Gestapo because I’ll be damned if I can get the site to come up right now to provide a link to the actual piece so here is one from Antiwar.com. Liberal media watchdog FAIR (Fairness and Accuracy In Reporting) references the MPN story in asking the forbidden question in whose account is more credible? I would not believe a damned word that comes out of Obama and Kerry and I would also mention that the that Prince Bandar bin Sultan hails from is the same country from which fifteen of the nineteen September 11, 2001 hijackers came from. Bandar’s wife was also at one time reported to have sent money to the wives of two friends of the hijackers but The Kingdom was cleared of any involvement in funding the attacks by the Bush regime. This is the same Bush regime that allowed several planeloads of Saudi nationals to flee the U.S. while airspace was locked down in the immediate aftermath of the attacks. The presence of Bandar Bush and the Saudis in the push to attacking Syria has the stench of a very large rat.

The propaganda blitzkrieg is in full swing this week and will continue to ramp up next week as the corrupt and debauched congress returns from its latest month long taxpayer funded vacation to ‘debate’ Barry’s coming attack on Syria. Very conveniently the week also happens to be the twelfth anniversary of the Septermber 11, 2001 attacks so expect much demagoguery from both sides as they exhume the poor, dead victims of that tragic day and once again exploit them for political purposes. The fear factor will likely be ratcheted up as well with more apocalyptic conjecture about the Hitler/Assad regime providing sarin gas to terrorists who will then bring it to Smalltown USA and unleash it upon the citizenry. We have seen this before yet the sheeple have the memory and attention span of gnats and a good percentage will be duped again by the liars who run the war machine. The only saving grace this time is technology, the internet was not the source of information that it is today when Bush lied the country into Iraq over the pretense of Saddam’s WMD. There are also social networking and telecommunications tools that didn’t exist back in 2002-2003 which gives those who are able to think for themselves a medium to counter the state propaganda. Granted Obama’s Stasi is watching and recording ALL of it but they really can’t stop it either. For Barry’s rogue administration to start actually going after bloggers etc or throw the internet kill switch altogether it will expose for all our preening wolf of a dictator finally shorn of his sheep’s clothing.

And once a dictator has revealed himself it is only a matter of time until he falls.

Obama’s Potemkin Democracy

In a timely bit of stagecraft that was conducted to much pomp in the White House Rose Garden on Saturday afternoon Barry backed off and proclaimed that he would seek the approval of Congress prior to launching WW III.  It is total horseshit of course, the military attack on Syria is already in the bag. Obama is only going through the motions of the ridiculously passé idea of checks and balances – he already HAS the votes.  The presser had all of the hallmarks of the great dictators of the past, for example the call for national unity:  “Today I’m asking Congress to send a message to the world that we are united as one nation” and the outsider “this menace must be confronted”.  Let’s face it, the United States Congress is nothing but a criminal organization that in any decent society would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and its members would be rotting in prison for their treason against the people that they are tasked by the Constitution with representing. This parliament of whores (to borrow a term from P.J. O’Rourke) is a den of thieves, liars, perverts, de-facto corporate lobbyists and other miscreants who are beholden only to self-promotion and money, foreign or domestic.  Barry has stones, I have to give that to him for reversing field for this bit of chicanery on the first Saturday that NCAA Football season kicked into full swing. Alas, it is nothing but a triple reverse, statue of liberty, flea-flicker play designed to trick the American people into actually thinking that they have a voice when it comes to another war. They don’t.

I have often wondered about one thing regarding the U.S. Congress, especially the U.S. Senate. How is it that so many of the most powerful members who effectively are able to control the entire body through abuse of the arcane rules to stall anything that is remotely beneficial to the American people just happen to come from states that aren’t demographically significant when it comes to population? For instance take one Harry Reid, the Democrat Majority Leader who hails from Nevada, according to the 2010 U.S. Census this is the 35th most populous state in the nation. What about Max Baucus, who was the key middleman in brokering deals with the insurance parasites when Obamacare was designed, he hails from Montana which according to the same 2010 Census happens to be the 44th most populous state. Then there is our Secretary of Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Tim Johnson from South Dakota, the 46th most populated state. Both are retiring in 2014 and will likely join the ranks of highly paid officials for the very sectors that they truly represented. Throw in that South Dakota happens to be a favorite location for rapacious credit card companies to incorporate in and operate out of and see that their other Senator is the influential Republican John Thune and something stinks badly.  It goes to reason that it is likely much cheaper to buy a Senator from a smaller state isn’t it?

The really big money though, the Wall Street banking cartel and military industrial complex dough goes to New York and California, represented by Chuck Shumer in the Empire State and that fat virulently anti-American toad Diane Feinstein out on the left coast. Shumer heads up the Senate Rules Committee and Feinstein lords it over the Select Committee on Intelligence where she serves as the impenetrable firewall of cellulite that protects Obama’s NSA Stasi. The entire system is rotten to the core and anyone who may speak out as opposition to  this racket, for instance Rand Paul is rapidly demonized by the corrupt state media. Republicans are led by the mush-mouthed, deal cutting Mitch McConnell from Kentucky, number 26 in terms of population. I could go on but why bother other than to say that Vice President Joe Biden’s long held Senate seat was in Delaware, 45th on the list and another Mecca for usurious credit card companies.

It is a dead bang certainty that Sunday morning’s bloviation circuit talking head shows will be led by a gaggle of ghouls and war freaks sent forth by Obama’s imperial decree to sow the seeds of fear in a manner unseen since the run up to the Shock and Awe invasion of Iraq. John McCain and Lindsay Graham will likely be front and center. It will be Syrian leader Assad who will be trotted out as the latest version of  the new Hitler and by God it is only Barack Hussein Obama who like Sir. Winston Churchill all those many years ago is the one to stand up to him. Bomb Syria for the flag-swaddled glory of mom, apple pie and what Ronald Reagan once referred to as that “shining city on the hill” before Obama and his predecessors turned it into a toxic, lawless slum thanks to their corrupt bastardizing of capitalism and vampire like taste for blood.

The fix is in folks, this is nothing but a Potemkin democracy presided over by a pack of psychopaths and  greedballs. It is all just a show for the suckers, schmucks and rubes. It as the late, great H.L. Mencken once so eloquently nailed it that “Democracy is the worship of jackals by jackasses”.  The ordinary people have not one iota of influence when it all comes down to it in Obama’s Potemkin Democracy.

Cruise Missile Cowboy

As the old adage goes – if you give a man enough rope he will eventually hang himself and today Barack H. Obama should pay heed. Despite widespread public skepticism, a stunning smack downof British pardner David Cameron, Tonto to Obama’s Drone Ranger and a smelly case of chemical weapons use that brings back memories of “we don’t want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud” the leader is saddling up for a shootin’ war. I don’t ever want to hear a liberal or a Democrat attack George W. Bush again because now that Barry has turned cowboy with yet another new war, one that may even  turn into WW III and the American day of reckoning at the O.K. Corral Barry is now every bit as bad. I would venture to say that trail boss Obama is far worse than Bushever was simply because Bush never bothered pretending that he was anything other than a cowboy, his successor is a full blown Judas. Irony is hysterical in that the Nobel Peace Prize winner who was trusted by so many to end the wars is about to lead his own gang into a morass of death and destruction that has all of the potential to end up like that classic final showdown in the classic Sam Peckinpah western The Wild Bunch.

This is all on the Barry too. He spent too much of his first term acting as a triangulating, milquetoast, arugula eating, verbose, teleprompter reading effete snob and he was mocked and disrespected by his enemies and taken advantage of by his friends. When he idiotically came out last year and stated that the use of chemical weapons was his “red line” for sending the military bully boys into action in Syria it was only a matter of time until someone – and let me emphasize that we still have no idea of who – would call his bluff. Real men don’t chicken out when it’s time to take ten paces, turn around and draw, especially given the long, lurid and colorful history of American cowboy foreign policy and Obama now has little choice.  Thorough international investigations will take you only so far when the monstrous power of the military industrial complex and the blood barters of Wall Street catch the scent of blood money.  Toss in a grifter like Obama, still smarting over being pilloried throughout his lamentable first term and then having his nose rubbed into a bowl of borscht flavored humble pie with a vodka chaser by the black hat Putin over Ed Snowden and we have a man that is itching for a gunfight. One must wonder how many times that Django Unchained has been the nightly movie at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Nixon got his Vietnam rocks off by watching Patton and we know damned well how well that all turned out.

This is a looming disaster another step in the downtrend, but Barry can’t back down because as national sheriff he has laid down the law and can’t be seen as a ‘chicken’ . After the embarrassments of being rebutted by the U.N. Security Council and Cameron’s parliamentary fiasco the rogue Obama regime is today hanging it’s hat on a new U.S. intelligence report offering damning evidence of the Assad regime’s complicity in the chemical gas attack. Don’t bother stopping to think that the very same intelligence community has a vested interest in protecting their own asses by hyping a new war that will knock the NSA Stasi revelations out of the headlines and provide more time for Obama’s black ops hit teams to find and murder Ed Snowden.  The added benefit would be that any opposition to Barry’s big shootout in Damascus will quickly be labeled as “traitors” and accused of “aiding the enemy” for their daring to challenge El Presidente. This is the way it always works in totalitarian societies and post September 11, 2001 we are living in an increasingly obvious one. The very fact that Barry and the boys no longer bother hiding any of it is an ominous sign of what is yet to come.

So expect high noon anytime now, best get out and gas up your car before the coming oil price spike. The administration once again sent forth Skull and Bones member John Kerry to again spew out demagogic rhetoric in his normal monotonous delivery to push the propaganda line. French President Francois Hollande now appears to be joining the Obama gang as the 2013 incarnation of the “coalition of the willing” begins to take form. One can imagine that the cheese-eating surrender monkey French are still traumatized by their resistance to Bush’s Iraq war and having French Fries renamed Freedom Fries in the Congressional cafeteria. Obama is also now invoking the imminent threat to Israel and Jordan which will set the tone for the smearing of opponents as “isolationists” and pejoratives even worse than that. The question that is never once tolerated is that why is there always money for more war when the entire country is crumbling and is on the brink of becoming akin to a third world banana republic in the coming years. Such a question would quickly run astray of Obama and his state media lynching party and those who ask would be ruthlessly smeared.

So as we here sit on the eve of what would be the initial cruise missile shots of World War III we are only provided with the pro-war propaganda of the usual cavalcade of clowns. Poor pitiful Barry stands to lose face, and the sycophants and stenographer presstitutes worried about lost access were they to live up to their duties under the rapidly disappearing First Amendment. At least there are some, now exiled to the fringes who still dare to ask the forbidden questions. Take Pat Buchanan for instance who just wrote-

Understandably, Obama wants to get the egg off his face from having foolishly drawn his “red line” against chemical weapons, and then watching Syria, allegedly, defy His Majesty. But saving Obama’s face does not justify plunging his country into another Mideast war.

Does Obama realize what a fool history will make of him if he is stampeded into a new war by propaganda that turns out to be yet another stew of ideological zealotry and mendacity?

As of today, we do not know exactly what gas was used around Damascus, how it was delivered, who authorized it and whether President Bashar Assad ever issued such an order.

Yet, one Wall Street Journal columnist is already calling on Obama to assassinate Assad along with his family.

Nations that start wars and attack countries, as Gen. Tojo and Adm. Yamamoto can testify, do not get to decide how wide the war gets, how long it goes on or how it ends.

If the United States attacks Damascus and Syria’s command and control, under the rules of war Syria would be within its rights to strike Washington, the Pentagon and U.S. bases all across the Middle East.

Does Obama really want to start a war, the extent and end of which he cannot see, that is likely to escalate, as its promoters intend and have long plotted, into a U.S. war on Iran? Has the election in Iran of a new president anxious to do a deal with America on Iran’s nuclear program caused this panic in the War Party?

If we think the markets reacted badly to a potential U.S. strike on Syria, just wait for that big one to start. Iran has a population the size of Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq combined, and sits astride the Straits of Hormuz through which the free world’s oil flows.

And who will be our foremost fighting ally in Syria should we attack Assad’s army? The Al-Nusra Front, an arm of al-Qaida and likely successor to power, should Assad fall.

Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad.

Obama is indeed mad as in pissed off at Putin and aS the ongoing revelations of his corrupt surveillance state as well as the ugly truth that his economic policies are a disaster and his health care reform plan is nothing more than a big government backed shakedown of taxpayers to benefit big corporations.  But in the sense of the word invoked by Buchanan he is not truly mad (is in crazy) and that is a very disconcerting though in that madmen eventually are stopped. It is the arrogant, foolhardy, reckless state of hubris as Barry has now received his own personal fix of our cowboy bent when it comes to global affairs.

It is all a matter of Obama playing a game of my missile is bigger than yours with Putin and Syria just happens to be the set of this tragedy in the making.

It is a tall order but the American people and Congress need to reign this varmint in now.

Dick Cheney Defends Obama's NSA Stasi

When a man as notoriously opposed to historical American constitutional principles such as former V.P. Richard B. Cheney who is a stone cold fascist comes out in defense of Obama’s NSA Stasiyou get an idea of just how truly screwed that we all are. Cheney after all is the man most responsible for the decline in image of the United States when he and his neocon cabal essentially hijacked the George W. Bush presidency, running roughshod over the Constitution and leaving hell in his wake.  Speaking at a Steam Boat Springs Colorado gathering over the weekend Cheney was in rare form. While playing down any actual complimentary language towards  Obama himself, the evildoer whipped a shovel or two of chunks of bloody red meat to an adoring audience but it was sheer theater. Cheney engaged in some Clintonian hair-splitting in trying to separate the Obama administration’s use of the IRS to go after political groups yet not condemning the use of the NSA to spy on millions of Americans and their most intimate personal details. The insinuation being that while Barry and the boys must be held accountable for IRS abuses that he is somehow absolved for the NSA Stasi’s ongoing criminality. Behold this vile hypocrite for ye shalt never see another quite like him again. He didn’t overtly back Obama’s upcoming attack on Syria, a country that represents zero threat to the United States but considering his track record on such things I would imagine that his approval is assured even if not voiced out of necessity in the preposterous effort  to foist off his daughter Liz as Senatorial material.

But of course Cheney is defending the out of control NSA  because the surveillance apparatus it is the very operating system of the  fascist Deep State. One that Mr. Cheney himself played no small role in advancing and molding so that it now existentially threatens the American democracy itself . I am not sure that anyone reading this knows much about Continuity of Government (COG) which is a menace to all that we as Americans have ever held dear, so allow me to elaborate. During the Cold War it was determined that a parallel government needed to be set up. This was ostensibly for protection of the real government in the event of a Soviet nuclear attack/decapitation strike on Washington . The COG program was highly secretive and is very real despite the sort of paranoid, X Files connotations that will be made by those who dare not research them on their own lest they find their naive beliefs of the role of big government and American society shaken to their roots. During the 1980′s Cheney and his longtime buddy Donald Rumsfeld were both involved in ongoing secretive drills as the Reagan administration stared down the USSR. According to a 2004 piece for The Atlantic entitled The Armageddon Plan by James Mann from which I excerpt:

At least once a year during the 1980s Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld vanished. Cheney was working diligently on Capitol Hill, as a congressman rising through the ranks of the Republican leadership. Rumsfeld, who had served as Gerald Ford’s Secretary of Defense, was a hard-driving business executive in the Chicago area—where, as the head of G. D. Searle & Co., he dedicated time and energy to the success of such commercial products as Nutra-Sweet, Equal, and Metamucil. Yet for periods of three or four days at a time no one in Congress knew where Cheney was, nor could anyone at Searle locate Rumsfeld. Even their wives were in the dark; they were handed only a mysterious Washington phone number to use in case of emergency.

After leaving their day jobs Cheney and Rumsfeld usually made their way to Andrews Air Force Base, outside Washington. From there, in the middle of the night, each man—joined by a team of forty to sixty federal officials and one member of Ronald Reagan’s Cabinet—slipped away to some remote location in the United States, such as a disused military base or an underground bunker. A convoy of lead-lined trucks carrying sophisticated communications equipment and other gear would head to each of the locations.

Rumsfeld and Cheney were principal actors in one of the most highly classified programs of the Reagan Administration. Under it U.S. officials furtively carried out detailed planning exercises for keeping the federal government running during and after a nuclear war with the Soviet Union. The program called for setting aside the legal rules for presidential succession in some circumstances, in favor of a secret procedure for putting in place a new “President” and his staff. The idea was to concentrate on speed, to preserve “continuity of government,” and to avoid cumbersome procedures; the speaker of the House, the president pro tempore of the Senate, and the rest of Congress would play a greatly diminished role.

It was also during the Reagan administration that Lt. Colonel Oliver North who presented himself as an uber patriot (all while shanking Reagan himself in the back) while he was involved in drugs for weapons deals in order to circumvent the Constitution and to arm Latin American Contra militants he was also busily working on preparing for the suspension of the Constitution if necessary. Using a highly sophisticated computer program Colonel North, under REX 84 plotted the internment of domestic political dissidents. It was during the Iran-Contra hearings that North was asked by Texas Congressman Jack Brooks about the existence of such a program (REX 84) which brought forth the following conversation:

Congressman Jack] Brooks: Colonel North, in your work at the N.S.C. were you not assigned, at one time, to work on plans for the continuity of government in the event of a major disaster?

Brendan Sullivan [North's counsel, agitatedly]: Mr. Chairman?

[Senator Daniel] Inouye: I believe that question touches upon a highly sensitive and classified area so may I request that you not touch upon that?

Brooks: I was particularly concerned, Mr. Chairman, because I read in Miami papers, and several others, that there had been a plan developed, by that same agency, a contingency plan in the event of emergency, that would suspend the American constitution. And I was deeply concerned about it and wondered if that was an area in which he had worked. I believe that it was and I wanted to get his confirmation.

Inouye: May I most respectfully request that that matter not be touched upon at this stage. If we wish to get into this, I’m certain arrangements can be made for an executive session.

According to a must read 2008 piece by investigative journalist Christopher Ketcham entitled The Last Roundup the author wrote of a massive national database named Main Core which now five years later seems to mesh very nicely with Edward Snowden’s revelations of Obama’s (and Cheney’s) now totally run amok security apparatus. I excerpt the following from The Last Roundup:

Interestingly, plans drawn up during the Reagan administration suggest this parallel government would be ruling under authority given by law to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, home of the same hapless bunch that recently proved themselves unable to distribute water to desperate hurricane victims. The agency’s incompetence in tackling natural disasters is less surprising when one considers that, since its inception in the 1970s, much of its focus has been on planning for the survival of the federal government in the wake of a decapitating nuclear strike.

Under law, during a national emergency, FEMA and its parent organization, the Department of Homeland Security, would be empowered to seize private and public property, all forms of transport, and all food supplies. The agency could dispatch military commanders to run state and local governments, and it could order the arrest of citizens without a warrant, holding them without trial for as long as the acting government deems necessary. From the comfortable perspective of peaceful times, such behavior by the government may seem farfetched. But it was not so very long ago that FDR ordered 120,000 Japanese-Americans—everyone from infants to the elderly—be held in detention camps for the duration of World War II. This is widely regarded as a shameful moment in U.S. history, a lesson learned. But a long trail of federal documents indicates that the possibility of large-scale detention has never quite been abandoned by federal authorities.

Around the time of the 1968 race riots, for instance, a paper drawn up at the U.S. Army War College detailed plans for rounding up millions of “militants” and “American negroes” who were to be held at “assembly centers or relocation camps.” In the late 1980s, the Austin American-Statesman and other publications reported the existence of 10 detention camp sites on military facilities nationwide, where hundreds of thousands of people could be held in the event of domestic political upheaval. More such facilities were commissioned in 2006, when Kellogg Brown & Root—then a subsidiary of Halliburton—was handed a $385 million contract to establish “temporary detention and processing capabilities” for the Department of Homeland Security. The contract is short on details, stating only that the facilities would be used for “an emergency influx of immigrants, or to support the rapid development of new programs.” Just what those “new programs” might be is not specified.

It is, of course, appropriate for any government to plan for the worst. But when COG plans are shrouded in extreme secrecy, effectively unregulated by Congress or the courts, and married to an overreaching surveillance state—as seems to be the case with Main Core—even sober observers must weigh whether the protections put in place by the federal government are becoming more dangerous to America than any outside threat.

In the days after our hypothetical terror attack, events might play out like this: With the population gripped by fear and anger, authorities undertake unprecedented actions in the name of public safety. Officials at the Department of Homeland Security begin actively scrutinizing people who—for a tremendously broad set of reasons—have been flagged in Main Core as potential domestic threats. Some of these individuals might receive a letter or a phone call, others a request to register with local authorities. Still others might hear a knock on the door and find police or armed soldiers outside. In some instances, the authorities might just ask a few questions. Other suspects might be arrested and escorted to federal holding facilities, where they could be detained without counsel until the state of emergency is no longer in effect.

On September 11, 2001 Continuity of Government plans were implemented to some degree by then Vice President Cheney who ran the show while Bush was rushed from the Florida grade school classroom where he was reading My Pet Goat to the kiddies and flown around the country out of the way while Cheney took care of business. In fact according to Richard Clarke, a member of Obama’s NSA whitewash committee was quoted by an ABC News story as saying “On the morning of 9/11, the entire continuity-of-government program was activated”. No matter what your political leanings are this is just plain anti-American. Hell I despise both Obama and Cheney for largely the same reasons in that they are above the law elitists who play games with the lives of real people, and they could give a tinker’s damn about any of us.

It is very chilling to know that these powers which anyone with an inkling of common sense and a smattering of healthy skepticism have grown so exponentially under the Obama regime. During the Bush-Cheney years there were fears that another ‘terrorist’ attack would result in martial law being declared, with NSPD-51 being signed by Dubya in 2007 and the establishment of NORTHCOM a domestic military command that flew in the face of the Posse Comitatus Act such fears were seemingly justified. It was  Cheney himself, the de-facto head of that previous administration who vested such enormous power in the Executive Branch and now that power can be yielded by Barry and the boys to crush dissent to their radical plans. When it all hits the fan (and it will) whether it be from more blowback from a Middle East escalation or the imminent economic collapse once the rigged six ways from Sunday financial markets go into full withdrawal after the Federal Reserve stops providing the fix of cheap money and Quantitative Easing just remember one thing. It is thanks to Cheney and his power-mad ilk that Obama can now put the country under martial law with nothing more than a phone call. Just think of what was done in Boston a few months back where thousands of paramilitary police were sent forth and half the city shut down as a test run to chase down one pathetic loser of an amateur terrorist.

I would think that conservatives should be aghast at what Cheney wrought, it is the very essence of a “turnkey totalitarian’ system and he has put it into the hands of Obama’s rogue regime. Mr. Cheney may have been able to dupe an audience of loyalist that “The biggest threat facing us are terrorists armed with something more than plane tickets and box cutters” but that is just more of the same crap that we have been fed for twelve years now.

No Dick, the “biggest threat” is a run amok government steeped in secrecy and contempt for the U.S. Constitution in the hands of a power crazed man like Barack H. Obama and what you fail to acknowledge is that YOU were instrumental in setting up the system of oppression that he now has at his disposal.
