Unhinged Lindsey Graham Blames China For Sony Hacking

Senator Lindsey Graham has developed a reputation for being somewhat of a hysteric over the years and Sunday morning’s appearance on CNN’s State of the Union was a testament to the bizarre nature of the Palmetto State princess. John McCain’s little buddy spewed nonstop nonsense to hostess Dana Bash, the temporary replacement for the insipid blathering sow Candy Crowley who left the network earlier this month. Graham’s interview was a tour de force of bullshit that ran the gamut from him blaming China for the Sony hack for which North Korea was fingered to calling for Republican leaders to back Obama’s amnesty for illegals and even a hint at a possible 2016 presidential run.

According to a story from the website of CNN entitled “Graham suspects China involved in Sony attack”:

Sen. Lindsey Graham hinted at China's involvement in the North Korean cyberattack on Sony Pictures and called for additional U.S. action against North Korea to make the hermit kingdom "feel the pain that is due."

"I can't imagine anything this massive happening in North Korea without China being involved or at least knowing about it," Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, told CNN's Dana Bash on "State of the Union."

Graham called for more sanctions against the regime and said President Barack Obama should put North Korea back on the list of state sponsors of terrorism, something Obama is currently reviewing.

The Republican senator gave Obama rare kudos for the President's handling of the North Korean affair so far.

"So far so good, Mr. President," Graham said, despite adding that Obama should have labeled the attack as cyberterrorism and not "cybervandalism," as Obama called the hack in a CNN interview last week.

"What's happened here it shows how exposed we are in America to cyberattack," Graham said. "If North Korea can do this to a major corporation in America, what can other people do to our country."

So where it he proof? How many times are these sleazy career political hacks allowed to just show up and pull wild accusations out of their asses with nothing to back them up? McCain and former House Intelligence Committee boss Mike Rogers are both notorious for such things while the celebrity hosts never call them on any of it. What is said on these shows unfortunately drives the week’s official propaganda and once chopped up into bite-sized McNews McNuggets is what is fed to the populace. This is what happens when there is no longer any such thing as legitimate, objective and hard-hitting journalism practiced in America. Herr Goebbels would be proud especially when a foreign corporation like Sony is constantly trotted out as being as American as apple pie by tools like Graham and his ilk.

Graham is always a go to guy for the media whenever a prominent "Republican" is needed to defend big government such as the surveillance and warfare states. He is singing from the same hymnal as the rest of the fascists in Congress and the White House who are readying a new iteration of a cybersecurity bill that will further undermine privacy rights in this country early in 2015. The blaming of North Korea for the overhyped “terrorist” threats against movie theaters showing the film "The Interview" and now the floating of the trial balloon that China is behind it all will only be used as further justification for the undermining of civil liberties. But again, nobody ever calls these guys on any of this crap so whatever monster is now being built in the NSA and Pentagon laboratories will soon be unleashed on a helpless and propagandized populace who inhabit the world’s biggest lemming colony.

Principled conservatives had a shot at dethroning Graham but blew it when they were unable to rally around a solid opponent last June. Graham then was easily reelected to a third Senate term where he will be an indispensable member of the Mitch McConnell coalition that is assembled to cut deals with Emperor Obama – especially on mass surveillance to lock down the fascist state.

CNN Loses Nearly 300 Pounds of Ugly Fat

CNN, America’s self-proclaimed “most trusted” name in news has just lost approximately 300 pounds of ugly fat now that Candy Crowley is departing. In a Friday announcement, network boss Jeff Zucker confirmed via an internal memo that the hostess with the mostest is moving on. Crowley has been a fixture at CNN for years and was the network’s go to girl for all things political. The departure of Ms. Crowley leaves a gigantic hole in the Sunday morning masturbatory festival of the official government propaganda shows. Her finale will be today when she interviews former President George W. Bush. She is the second high profile celebrity to leave the Sunday bloviation circuit following the ouster of NBC’s uber-slimy David Gregory earlier this year.

As reported in a story on the  CNN website “Crowley to leave CNN after 27 years”:

CNN chief political correspondent and "State of the Union" host Candy Crowley is leaving the network, CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker said in a staff email Friday.

Zucker said Crowley "has made the decision to move on, so she can embark on the next chapter of her already prolific career. As difficult as it is for us to imagine CNN without Candy, we know that she comes to this decision thoughtfully, and she has our full support."

Crowley, 65, joined CNN in 1987. Zucker said in 27 years with the network, Crowley had visited all 50 states and covered more than a dozen leading presidential contenders' campaigns -- from George H.W. Bush to Barack Obama.

He called Crowley "one of the most important and impactful journalists on our air."

The insipid blathering sow will be remembered for the ire that she drew from Republicans after the 2012 presidential debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.  While acting as moderator during the nationally televised town hall style gabfest at New York’s Hoffstra University she inserted herself into the debate by bailing out Obama over the Benghazi embassy attack. It was a violation of the rules as well as an example of what happens when a celebrity pundit is allowed to act as a moderator, they sometimes can’t control themselves. Crowley hogged the post-debate coverage by becoming a bigger story than the event itself and Romney never recovered. Americans can however take solace in that Mitt would have been every bit Obama's equal in fucking the country up because unless you are a defender of the corrupt status quo you don't even get a seat at the table in the U$A.

Fellow CNN celebrity pundit Dana Bash bemoaned the loss of Crowley who she called the “soul of CNN”. The network has yet to announce a replacement, in particular for the State of the Union gig but have no doubt that they will have no problem in dredging up another hack. Perhaps they will give Jon Stewart a call since a good portion of America seems to place an inordinate amount of faith in clowns spoon-feeding them their McNews nuggets.

John Kerry's Sunday Morning Orgy of Bullshit

The last time that Secretary of Skull and Bones John Kerry hit for the cycle on the Sunday morning “news” shows he was pushing a war on Syria that was based on shaky evidence that to this day has not been substantiated. Whirlwind John and his incurable case of diarrhea of the mouth appeared on all five of the Sabbath day feasts of bullshit that far too many Americans believe are credible discussion forums rather than the interlocked propaganda dispersal systems that they are in reality. Kerry was seeking to exploit the shooting down of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 over a war zone in Ukraine on Thursday for political gain in order stick the dagger into the hated Vladimir Putin who foiled Kerry's last slam dunk case for war and has been reviled by the neocon infested State Department ever since.

The weekly array of bloodsucking ghouls trotted out to make their cases becomes increasingly wretched as the desperation of the empire itself does likewise and this Sunday’s slate was an all-star lineup of scum, warmongers and criminals in high places with a couple of perverts thrown in for good measure. In addition to the reigning buffoon from Foggy Bottom there was the lunatic foreign born Texas Senator Ted Cruz along with fellow Senators Robert Menendez (alleged patron of prostitutes) and Bob Corker a triad of apologists for Israeli war crimes on “Fox News Sunday”.  Senator Corker and Menendez have been the tip of the spear when it comes to anti-American treachery by elected officials to sink the P5+1 Iran talks and are exploiting the latest wave of Middle East violence to finally sink it into the soft white underbelly of diplomatic efforts in order to get on with the business of bombing Tehran.

There was Secretary Kerry along with the always strident Senator Lindsey Graham, an rumored closet queen who is probably being blackmailed by the NSA  on NBC’s “Meet the Press” with the always slimy David Gregory from which I excerpt the following from the transcript:

DAVID GREGORY: Secretary Kerry, welcome back to Meet the Press.

SECRETARY JOHN KERRY: I'm glad to be with you, David. Thank you.

DAVID GREGORY: The president demanded absolute cooperation from Russia, from the separatists in Eastern Ukraine. And now the whole was is watching. And the startling developments that the rebels are removing bodies from the crash site, putting them on refrigerated trains, even talk of removing the black box. What do you say about that this morning?

SECRETARY JOHN KERRY: Well, what's happening is really grotesque. And it is contrary to everything that President Putin and Russia said that they would do. There are-- there are reports of drunken separatist soldiers unceremoniously piling bodies into trucks, removing both bodies, as well as evidence, from the site.

They promised unfettered access, David. And the fact is that, right now, they had 75 minutes on Friday, yesterday, three hours. There were shots fired in the area. The separatists are in control. And it is clear that Russia supports the separatists, supplies the separatists, encourages the separatists, trains the separatists. And Russia needs to step up and make a difference here.

DAVID GREGORY: How might the investigation be compromised? The government's ability to determine with certainty who fired this missile, based on what's happening now? And specific I speak here about these reports of the black box being removed.

SECRETARY JOHN KERRY: Well, let me tell you what we know at this point, David, because it tells you a lot about what it going on. In the last month, we have observed major supplies moving in. Several weeks ago, about a 150-vehicle convoy, including armored personnel carriers, tanks, rocket launchers, artillery, all going in and being transferred to the separatists.

We know that they had an SA-11 system in the vicinity, literally hours before the shoot-down took place. There are social media records of that. They were talking, and we have the intercepts of their conversations, talking about the transfer and movement and repositioning of the SA-11 system. The social media showed them with this system moving through the very area where we believe the shoot-down took place, hours before it took place.

Social media, which is an extraordinary tool, obviously, in all of this, has posted recordings of separatists bragging about the shoot-down of a plane at the time right after it took place. The defense minister, so-called, self-appointed, of the People's Republic of Donetsk, Mr. Igor Strelkov, actually posted a bragging statement on the social media about having shot down a transport. And then, when it became apparent it was civilian, they quickly removed that particular posting.

Anyone other than a sociopath or a desperate used car salesman in the waning hours of the month before Christmas could possibly tell so many lies with a straight face. The echo chamber is fully functional in that anything that the coup d'etat - then illegitimate election installed neo-Nazi mob in Kiev pulls out of their asses is then floated in a US corporate media brand name publication - one story that Kerry refers to is in Rupert Murdoch's Wall Street Journal reporting the removal of bodies form the crash site. The propaganda is then launched like a particularly stinky turd into the sewage system on the Sunday morning "news" circuit and will provide the narrative that drives the coming week's relentless drive to frame Putin for the airliner shoot down. The reference to "drunken separatist soldiers" is a nice touch and the incident of the shooting down of a jetliner full of civilians would certainly be the act of a pack of drunken animals - like the one's that won't be talked about in the closed US propaganda system but has been noted by veteran investigative journalist Robert Parry over at the excellent Consortium News in a story entitled "Airline Horror Spurs New Rush to Judgment" from which I excerpt:

Regarding the shoot-down of the Malaysian jetliner on Thursday, I’m told that some CIA analysts cite U.S. satellite reconnaissance photos suggesting that the anti-aircraft missile that brought down Flight 17 was fired by Ukrainian troops from a government battery, not by ethnic Russian rebels who have been resisting the regime in Kiev since elected President Viktor Yanukovych was overthrown on Feb. 22.

According to a source briefed on the tentative findings, the soldiers manning the battery appeared to be wearing Ukrainian uniforms and may have been drinking, since what looked like beer bottles were scattered around the site. But the source added that the information was still incomplete and the analysts did not rule out the possibility of rebel responsibility.

But you can count on it that any alternative explanation other than the preordained conclusion of the fully insane leaders of the empire will never make it onto the TV and as anyone who is an American is aware - it just can't be true if it isn't on the electronic crackpipe.

Then there was Skull and Bones Kerry and the fascist extremist outgoing House Intelligence Committee boss Mike Rogers – a pathological liar – along with the child murdering monster Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netnanyahu (why exactly does the head of a foreign country currently engaged in crimes against humanity merit so much face time on American national television?} on ABC’s “This Week”. Kerry and the rest of the US political class have gall to continually carp about the possibility of Putin sending weapons to the anti-Kiev, anti-fascist federalists in east Ukraine while at the very same time US taxpayer money continues to be funneled into Israel to conduct barbaric attacks on civilians like that which is currently going on in Gaza but that is another story altogether. There is the obvious and now routine hypocrisy evident and it is especially so when Netanyahu is trotted out on American television to deliver his concocted line of public relations horseshit while his military is engaged in the murder of civilians - that it is on the same show where a fraud like Kerry exploits the civilian deaths of the MH17 passengers is the height of perverse irony.   

Kerry along with top guardian of the NSA unconstitutional surveillance and data-mining programs Senator Dianne Feinstein as well as the deranged Representative Michael McCaul of Texas – who just called for internment camps for migrant children- on CNN’s “State of the Union” and to top it off there was Kerry and the pudgy virulent anti-Muslim bigot  from Long Island Peter King – a real authority on terrorism as he avidly supported the murderous IRA – on CBS’s “Face the Nation”. All that was missing were Dick and Liz Cheney regurgitating their bullshit about ties between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda and John McCain crapping his Grampers again but they are afforded coverage on a near daily basis as they spew their lies and calling for war, war and even more war.

If anyone wishes to see an example of the rottenness and soulless decadence of the political class of an empire that has abrogated any semblance of morality as it all begins to collapse in on itself only need turn on their televisions each and every Sunday morning.

Bloodsuckers McCain and Graham Hit Sunday Circuit to Peddle More Lies

A 2001 piece at satirical website The Onion entitled “Bush: 'Our Long National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity Is Finally Over'” published shortly after his inauguration was astonishing in the uncanny ability to so accurately predict the future. Now in mid-2014 we are a nation at permanent war, whether it be Afghanistan, a new Cold War with Russia or the third bite at the apple in Iraq it is as Orwell once put it "Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia". The wars are of course not the desire of the people, and truly there are very few of them who sacrifice a damned thing (since we no longer have conscription) other than lost investment in their own country due to the diversion of tax payer dollars to fund permanent militarism. President Dwight D. Eisenhower lamented the social cost of a state of permanent war in his 1961 farewell address as well as the dangers of the Military Industrial Complex but those dangers can also be very lucrative opportunities to the death pimp politicians who are always willing to send others to kill, die and be maimed for their ongoing ability to remain in office thanks to those who fund them as well as their vainglorious self-importance. 

With the new wave of violence in Iraq courtesy of that brilliant re-branding of the scary Muslim menace ISIS and the long promised by the neocon fear-mongers caliphate US troops are returning to Iraq again. While the troops, who when the violence really gets kicked up will return home to the USA!, USA!, USA! to further tax an already stretched to breaking VA system  (and no, Obama's corporate stooge, a former Procter & Gamble CEO who was just named ad VA Secretary is not going to fix it) the usual suspects are out shilling for escalation. Never mind that they have always been wrong about the warfare state that became the "new normal" after September 11, 2001 they still manage to be afforded attention, undeserved credibility and a national television platform to bray for their wars.

There are no two more diseased parasites who have lead the hordes of blood-suckers feasting on the host of what used to be a great country than Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham. The dynamic duo appeared on Sunday morning's bloviation circuit to engage in their standard asinine lying and demagoguery as the election cycle nears and there are cheap political points to provide added value to their pimping for the Pentagon and the arms industry which both rely upon the other for continued existence.

It was on CBS's Face the Nation that old blood and guts and the Palmetto state princess showed up to sell their wares and I excerpt from the transcript:

SCHIEFFER: Let's get back to Iraq.

 What is your take, Senators, on this new video? Is ISIS now trying to scare us? Is the threat to the United States from ISIS growing? I guess those are the two questions I would have to ask.

 GRAHAM: Well, according to direction of national intelligence, the FBI director and most of our intelligence community, ISIS presents a direct threat to the homeland in Syria, now Iraq.

Americans and Western Europeans are going to help their cause. And they can flow back here. So, yes, they are a direct threat to the homeland and they're getting much stronger as we speak.

[These sick bastards will do anything to catch that post 9/11 flag-sucking lightning in a bottle again to keep their NSA surveillance state in place and get the sheep on board for another war - shameless] 

MCCAIN: I think it's important to recognize that we did have this situation stabilized, thanks to the surge, that we could have left a residual force behind which would have stabilized the situation.

This is not like a hurricane or an earthquake. This didn't have to happen. This is a failure of United States policy. And, by the way, there still is none that I can discern, either a policy or a strategy, to handle this situation.

This guy Baghdadi when he left Camp Bucca, a prison camp that we ran, he said, see you in New York. We now have the largest and richest enclave of radical terrorism in history that not only encompasses Iraq, as we know, but Iraq and Syria. So, we have to look at this as a Syria-Iraq problem. And one of the things that we need to do, of course we want Maliki to be replaced, but we got to stop ISIS first. And that means that we're going to have to do airstrikes. And we need to step up our support for the Free Syrian Army that is really right now getting very badly beaten.

[BULLSHIT! The Bergdahl as a radical of some sort is based on propaganda provided by former Iran-Contra figure and perjurer Duane "Dewey" Clarridge who runs a discredited private intelligence firm "The Eclipse Group" that primarily appeals to Fox News viewers. Bergdahl was also just cleared by the Army of any misconduct while in captivity. McCain knows better than this and so does CBS] 

SCHIEFFER: Just one thing, Senator. You say we left. The Iraqis would not sign the status of forces agreement, which would have put troops under our control, legal control. Are you just saying we didn't try hard enough to get that agreement?

 MCCAIN: I'm saying that they were ready to sign. I'm saying that this administration, this president didn't want to stay, and we were there in Baghdad and in Irbil when they agreed to do it.

Now, we were actually there. And the president of the United States would never give them a number of troops and their mission that they wanted to leave behind. In the words of General Dempsey in testimony before the Armed Services Committee, it cascaded down to 3,000 people. The president campaigned he was going to get us out. And the president is going to make the same mistake in Afghanistan, unless he reverses that decision, that he made.

You're going to see the same result in Afghanistan. We just came back from there. They feel abandoned.

[Again, it is largely due to McCain and his ilk that we were in Afghanistan in the first place] 

SCHIEFFER: Senator, do you agree with that?

GRAHAM: I think the big fear I have about what we're doing in Afghanistan is that we have great capability now.

We can watch a part of the world that is a safe haven for terrorists. Thirteen years after 9/11, there are more safe havens. There are more terrorist groups with more weapons and more capabilities than before 9/11, and we're having less capability, less presence.

If we get down to 1,000 troops by 2017, and dismantle our eyes and ears in Afghanistan and Pakistan, it will haunt us far worse than Iraq. The counterterrorism mission in Afghanistan is a front-line defense against -- for the homeland and it is being destroyed by this idea of leaving completely in 2017.

Mr. President, reverse your course. Keep our counterterrorism capabilities in effect to protect us here at home.

The Republican Guantanamo Bay Torture Camp Fetish

Strangely absent from the public view has been outgoing Republican House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers, the fanatical authoritarian who is stepping down from a safely gerrymandered Michigan congressional seat for a career in right-wing talk radio. Rogers was a Sunday morning fixture for months as he defended the NSA Stasi for unconstitutional mass surveillance and data-mining as well as continued to pull out unsubstantiated allegations that former government contractor turned patriotic whistleblower Edward Snowden was a Russian spy. Well this Sunday he has made his return to the morning slimefest to champion the US offshore torture facility and concentration camp at Guantanamo Bay.

The occasion for the puffy fascist's return to national television is that the recently abducted alleged mastermind of the 2012 Benghazi embassy attack Ahmed Abu Khattala is now in The Homeland awaiting trial in a - GASP - civilian court. Rogers, a real knuckle-dragger who used to work for the FBI Gestapo appeared on CNN's State of the Union to decree that Khattala was an "enemy combatant" - that wonderful little designation dreamed up by Bush administration legal eagles to circumvent the Constitution and should be thrown into captivity at the blot on the American global reputation at Gitmo. Rogers primary beef is that Khattala has to this point been "uncooperative" when interrogated by US goons and there is nothing like some torture and waterboarding in the balmy military occupied extrajudicial facility in Cuba to loosen his tongue and cop to the embassy attack.

According to a story in Politico (the actual SOTU transcript was not available) in a story entitled "Rogers: Khatallah process brings up more questions", Rogers who is a pathological liar for his history of bogus statements on Snowden and Glenn Greenwald makes the case for Gitmo as:

“Think about the sheer expense, the manpower, the planning to remove him from the battlefield, put him on a U.S. ship, steam him across the ocean to the United States to be presented to a U.S. federal judge, and we had to ask ourselves, is this, are we looking at what's happening in Iraq and Syria, is this a legal matter? Is this a criminal engagement or enemy combatants we need to strike and hold in a different way?” the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee said on CNN's "State of the Union."

If this tactic is to be used during the apprehension of anyone engaged in terrorism around the world, the Michigan Republican said, “we better start building prisons by the dozens." The prison facility at Guantánamo Bay is already capable of holding such suspects, he said.

Rogers said that the time investigators spent interviewing Khatallah on his trip over the Atlantic was not enough and that he has been “compliant but not cooperative.”

“You can't say you'll do it in 10 days or three days or seven days. Remember, he's affiliated with Al Sharia in Libya, which is certainly affiliated with Al Qaeda — these are dangerous folks. If he doesn't give us anything, and we get him to put him in jail, what have [we] accomplished? I argue we've spent a lot of money and not gained anything valuable for pushing back on terrorists around the world,” Rogers said.

Rogers is once again just pulling stuff out of his ass. Foremost is the insistence of using the term "terrorists" as an all-encompassing one to describe what are effectively religious militants, such is al Qaeda and ISIS (which the US to some degree likely overtly or covertly supports) who are engaged in civil wars as such. The entire pretense of the phony war on terror is bullshit in that "terrorism" is a tactic and acts of war in the myriad of conflicts that Uncle Scam is fueling produces an array of militants, freedom fighters, holy warriors, insurgents etc and to label them all as "terrorists" is dishonesty of the utmost. But Rogers knows this very well being that the Guantanamo Bay legal limbo and torture facility is ultimately going to house American citizens, most of them domestic political dissidents and opponents of the fascist system that gives Rogers and his fellow traitors a hard on. What would the purpose be of building a totalitarian system of surveillance and the militarized police forces that support it if there aren't prisons into which to throw the targets?

This is all going to be coming home to roost very soon when the political climate is just right to go live with the full blown imposition of tyranny - the trigger could be an economic collapse (which is looming) or that new 9/11 event that Dick Cheney has been making the rounds promoting as though he knows something that the rest of us don't. Either of which would suit Rogers and his fellow torture fetishists in the GOP like Ted Cruz, Peter King, John McCain and Lindsey Graham as well as the legion of lesser known although equally depraved authoritarians for they will be the ones who are involved in deciding exactly who is going to end up in those prisons when the time comes. 

Sunday Bloody Sunday: Bullshit, Bibi and 9/11 Too

With all that is currently going on with the Obama regime's continuation of the neocon war on the world - ISIS, Iraq, Iran, Ukraine, Syria, Nigeria, Russia and the ongoing government war on civil liberties in The Homeland it was wholly expected that this week's Sunday morning propaganda shows would feature a spectacular upchucking of bullshit to sell to the masses in the upcoming week. The major television networks and selected cable "news" titans certainly didn't fail as they trotted out a parade of fiends and criminals with the heavyweights being right-wing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu and arguably the greatest mass murderer in United States history Dick Cheney for tour de force performances that will reverberate through the war machine echo chamber for days.

The weekly spin cycle of lies and shilling for the regime change du jour and all of the accompanying fear-mongering and raw demagoguery actually got an early start when Cheney called out President Barack Obama in the pages of the crown jewel Rupert Murdoch media empire of sleaze The Wall Street Journal: "Rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many" conveniently forgetting the name George W. Bush like Ronald Reagan in his late stages of Alzheimer's Disease. That a man like Cheney is still able to command attention in this rotten star-spangled cesspool of war, avarice, surveillance and paramilitary police is a shining example of just how far that our once great country has fallen. Cheney at the very least belongs rotting in one of our for profit Supermax prisons for his crimes against the Constitution and were the actual ideals of the Founding Fathers adhered to instead of reduced to bullshit political talking points he would long ago have been tried and convicted of treason and hanged just like all of those defeated Nazis were at Nuremberg, many for lesser offenses than Cheney perpetrated.

The Cheney piece - along with the saturation media bombing of the entire cast of lairs and lunatics responsible for the ruinous Iraq war in the first place who were given forums to defend their own war crimes set the table for the lies and deceptions to follow. I have to give it to Bush, at least he had the decency to stay out of the limelight painting his bizarre pictures while every bit of the foulness responsible for the hijacking of this country since September 11, 2001 did their victory tour and were greeted as elder statesmen as they revised history without any of the celebrity media figures (themselves responsible for the death and destruction) gave them a free pass do do so.

There was also a bit of the now standard gratuitous sleaze directed at the patriotic NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden who on this week's Real Time With Bill Maher on HBO was smeared as a traitor and exposing the the USA!, USA!, USA! to terrorist threats during an interview with Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Glenn Greenwald. In a segment that degenerated very rapidly into a shouting match  between Greenwald  and  activist and Iraq war veteran activist Paul Reickhoff who is a reliable media go-to guy for his slimy insinuation that:

“There’s a larger debate here if Snowden did release these documents and we find out it does serves a purpose. But at the same time he’s still hiding in Russia. I mean, it would be a different story if he came back, and made his case, and faced the music,” 

Maher is one of the most dangerous and effective propagandists that exists in that (1) he is able to use humor in order to defend the warfare and surveillance state, and shill for Israeli human rights abuses, (2) his atheism only serves as a veil from which to launch his virulent hatemongering against Muslims, as vile as anything that appears at Front Page Magazine and others and (3) he is a complete stooge of the Democratic party and his mocking of the truly dumbest elements of the Republicans - particularly in the so-called tea party - he gets away with essentially being a spokesman for Obama and soon Hillary Clinton. Reickhoff too is suspect in that he is far too cozy with major media outlets and also is guilty of wearing military medals that he was undeserving of. It was a perfect tag teaming meant to provoke Greenwald and slime Snowden as a Russian dupe, usually this stuff is confined to the political circus like the Sunday morning orgy of ass-kissing, pandering and narcissism but it is gaining crossover appeal by being delivered by a charlatan like Maher and promulgated by a guy like Reickhoff who is able to hide behind his military service and the national reverence that exists towards the cult of the uniform. During the Maher bit he comes off as a self-serving piece of shit in using the same tactic as fascists like Mike Rogers and Michael Hayden in saying that Snowden's revelations cost American lives but offering zero proof, he did however defend whistleblowing when it came to the VA scandal and his own organization's leeching off of it. Get a real veteran next time, not a mouthpiece like this guy who in his media-friendliness is essentially sleeping with the enemy.

But I digress..

This morning the defense contractor owned NBC outdid itself by bringing in Netanyahu for one of David Gregory's famous electronically delivered blow jobs, ostensible to weigh in on Iraq but to really give Bibi another opportunity to campaign to the American public over his seething ancient religious hatred of Iran and relentless efforts to sink the deal on economic sanction relief in exchange for agreements on their civilian nuclear program. Bibi is first and foremost a liar and were he not the top dog in Israel he would be a natural for high office in our won contemptible and corrupt system.

The following is excerpted from the Meet the Press transcript:

P.M. BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: Thank you, David. Good to be with you.

DAVID GREGORY: Let me pick up on the reporting from Chuck Todd and hearing the president's comments. His cautious approach to intervening in Iraq: Do you fear that that could strengthen Iran?

P.M. BENJAMIN NETANYAHU:Look, I think it's a complicated situation. There are no easy answers. But what you're seeing in the Middle East today, in Iraq and in Syria, is the stark hatreds between radical Shiites, in this case led by Iran, and radical Sunnis led by Al Qaeda and ISIS and others.

Now, both of these camps are enemies of the United States. And when your enemies are fighting each other, don't strengthen either one of them; weaken both. And I think by far the worst outcome that could come out of this is that one of these factions, Iran, would come out with nuclear weapons capability. That would be a tragic mistake. It would make everything else pale in comparison. I think the ultimate and the most important goal in the Middle East is to make sure Iran does not have nuclear weapons capability--

DAVID GREGORY: To that point--

P.M. BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: --because those weapons, unlike mortars and machine guns that can kill thousands, and chemical weapons that kill tens of thousands, these weapons, nuclear weapons, could kill millions. That should be prevented at all cost.

DAVID GREGORY: You're well briefed on how the United States is approaching its negotiations with Iran to get it to abandon a nuclear weapons program. Are you concerned, based on anything that you've seen, that the U.S. is softening its negotiating stance to try to get Iran's help in Iraq?

P.M. BENJAMIN NETANYAHU: Well, I hope they don't come up with a bad deal. I'll tell you what a good deal is. A good deal is actually what was negotiated by the United States and President Obama in the case of the chemical weapons in Syria. They haven't solved the problem in Syria between Sunnis and Shiites, but you did remove the bulk of the weapons, and soon all of the weapons and the stockpiles. You removed them.

What is I think being discussed in the case of Iran by the international community is that you remove most of the sanctions and Iran gets to keep most of the capabilities, most of the stockpiles, most of the ability to manufacture the means to make nuclear weapons. That's a terrible mistake. I hope it doesn't come to pass because I think this would change history. It would be a monumental mistake. In the context of the world at large, and the Middle East as it is today, this would be a tragic, tragic outcome.

This is a man who is hellbent on feeding American blood and treasure into what would be such a bloodbath in Iran that the only serious way that it could be undertaken would be the restoring of the draft - military conscription would be a cure for long-term US joblessness too - which would follow the Israeli model of mandatory military service in the IDF. This would solve a lot of the Empire's problems with the eternal quest for global hegemony and being that America is a "Christian nation" as self-serving politicians so often remind us it could be easily sold in that the Israelis' after all are God's chosen people and there is no sacrifice too great for Americans than to commit the next generation or so into the jaws of the meat grinder. Check out Gareth Porter's book on the total bullshit of the Netanyahu case against Iran - "Manufactured Crisis", you an bet that it isn't on the required reading list for David Gregory and the rest of the mouthpieces for the enemies of the American people who are relentlessly pushing for their goddamned wars.

Then finally there was Cheney - AGAIN. Appearing on ABC's "This Week", I excerpt the following from the show transcript but it is just more of the same Cheney demagoguery and horseshit that we have had foisted off on us since he lied about the Saddam Hussein-Al Qaeda link and other distortions that lead to the Iraq disaster, one which if you believe the tales about ISIS is only beginning to take a turn for the worse:

With all -- all due respect, John, I was a strong supporter then of going into Iraq, I'm a strong supporter now. Everybody knows what my position is. There's nothing to be argued about there.

But if we spend our time debating what happened 11 or 12 years ago, we're going to miss the threat that is growing and that we do face. Rand Paul, with all due respect, is basically an isolationist. He doesn't believe we ought to be involved in that part of the world.

I think it's absolutely essential.

One of the things I worried about 12 years ago and that I worry about today is that there will be another 9/11 attack and that the next time, it'll be with weapons far deadlier than airline tickets and box cutters.

And when we have a situation developing in Pakistan, for example, where there are nuclear weapons, where supposedly that technology has been sold to the North Koreans, at the same time, the president announces the complete withdrawal from Afghanistan right next door, that we're -- we're missing the boat. We don't understand the nature of the threat and we're unwilling to deal with it.

As for 9/11 itself  the question remains on where was Dick? The American people have been deprived of an honest accounting of the events of that day since Cheney and Bush were able to evade giving testimony under oath to the Kean Commission and allowed to be interviewed together under restrictive conditions.

Cui Bono? That is the question that an free press in a free country should be free to ask of scum like Cheney but the answer would be an indictment of the entire system and Christ knows we can't have that.

Michelle Obama Pushes Latest Con Job for US Military Intervention

In yet another angle to sell the American public on more militarism for fun and profit the pitch is being made for the JSOC hit squads and SEAL teams to be scrambled to rescue a few hundred kidnapped schoolgirls in Nigeria. The girls, destined for a living hell of humiliation and sexual exploitation were abducted by Islamic militant group Boko Haram back in April and it is of course incumbent on Team America World Police to intervene. This could be a feel good story along the lines of Ronald Reagan's 1983 invasion of global military powerhouse Grenada that came on the heels of that terrible truck bombing of a US Marine Corps in Beirut that killed 240 or so US servicemen. Rather than actually go after the perpetrators of the bombing (it wouldn't have looked proper to let it get out that the Iranians that Ollie North and friends were covertly selling arms to) old Dutch's administration wagged the dog and attacked Grenada while the bodies of dead marines were still being extracted from the rubble. Americans ate it up and the barracks bombing fiasco was very quickly flushed down the memory hole as triumphalism reigned.

The Boko Haram saga would be a wonderful chance for the Obama regime - now that their horribly botched coup d'etat against the democratically elected leader of Ukraine has gone up like a flaming bag of dogshit with US backed neo-Nazi goons incinerating people in buildings - to seize the headlines by rescuing the girls. None other than Mrs. Obama has come out and joined the effort to push for yet another US military rescue and used her weekly video address to shamelessly exploit the kidnappings. I excerpt the following from a story in The Guardian:

The US first lady began the address, which is broadcast on radio and uploaded to YouTube, by wishing Americans a happy Mother's Day, before saying: "Like millions of people across the globe, my husband and I are outraged and heartbroken over the kidnapping of more than 200 Nigerian girls from their school dormitory in the middle of the night.

"This unconscionable act was committed by a terrorist group determined to keep these girls from getting an education – grown men attempting to snuff out the aspirations of young girls."

The militant Islamist group Boko Haram kidnapped 276 girls from a secondary school in Chibok in remote northeastern Nigeria on 14 April and has threatened to sell them into slavery, while eight girls were taken from another village earlier this week.

The abductions have drawn international condemnation and promises of special forces assistance to find the girls from the US and UK. The Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan, said on Friday he believed the girls were still in his country.

"I want you to know that Barack has directed our government to do everything possible to support the Nigerian government's efforts to find these girls and bring them home," the first lady said. "In these girls, Barack and I see our own daughters. We see their hopes, their dreams, and we can only imagine the anguish their parents are feeling right now."

Similar concern has yet to be expressed for any of the innocent victims of Obama's drone strikes nor for any who are currently being murdered by Michelle's those neo-Nazi/fascist militias that are conducting the search and destroy missions in East Ukraine because her hubby has to prove that his dick is bigger than Putin's. The Barack brigades and their spree of atrocities are dutifully covered up by the corrupt US media as is the directing of taxpayer money to funding the return of Nazism to Europe. As writer and investigative historian Eric Zuesse points out in his piece over at the progressive website OpEd News “Our People Massacre Civilians in Odessa, and Politico Blames Putin”:

Consider how we are being lied to by the propaganda media that pass for "news" media in our country.

Of course, there was the infamous example of how we were lied to about "Saddam's WMD," which lies caused us to support invading Iraq and replacing there a local tyrant with something that's far worse for the Iraqi people. We don't complain about having been deceived into wasting $3 trillion of our own tax dollars, and thousands of American lives, and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives, in a venture that increased misery for Iraqis and that produced nothing of benefit to ourselves (but lots of business for well-connected American-owned firms). However, there are lots of recent examples, too, such as today's civil war in Ukraine, which was caused by Barack Obama, but which our "news" media blame instead on Vladimir Putin.

The referred to lies are in abundance as the narrative rolls along for the use of more US military prowess to save the kidnapped Nigerian schoolgirls.  In The Homeland Sunday is a day that is sacred and there is always reverence to all of the lies that the state chooses to foist off upon sheep  on the morning propaganda shows where the pulpits are filled with pathological bullshit artists and presided over by sycophantic, highly compensated hosts. This morning, on Mother's Day the mother of all moonbats, Michelle Bachmann was given the nationally televised forum that the craziest members of our reprobate political class are afforded.  Making her appearance on CNN's State of the Union with that insipid blathering sow Candy Crowley the always deranged Minnesotan invoked "national security" in a plea for action against Boko Haram (It's hard not to mentally conjure up Kony 2012 isn't it?). You can tell what a sick country that this is in that Bachmann was at one point afforded the ridiculous status as a legitimate Republican presidential candidate – until that public relations disaster of the picture of her noshing on that giant corn dog (it looked like she was sucking a huge brown dick)  at the Iowa State Fair where she was working the rubes effectively killed her extreme long-shot hopes.

The segment also included Democratic party Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz in what was billed as a bi-partisan segment on working moms. You have to give it to the corporate-state propaganda machine in that at least it is somewhat more creative than David Gregory jacking off Mike Rogers, Lindsey Graham and John McCain on a weekly basis. For gimmickry and schlock about “bi-partisanship” nothing will ever beat America’s favorite couple of the ghoulish James Carville and Mary Matalin but the suckers who buy into this all of the trench warfare, political bickering horseshit don’t have a true understanding of the political system. The Democrats and Republicans are both criminal organizations always jousting for control over the spoils system but the notion that there is no bi-partisanship is a lie. There is always lockstep unity when it comes to matters of war, expanding the fascist police state, protecting the NSA Stasi surveillance apparatus and selling out the interests of Americans to cater to the whims of wealthy special interests. The State of the Union segment predictably broke down into the normal dog and pony show squabbling, this time about the ongoing waste of time and money that is the GOP's Benghazi inquisition that no matter how much 'investigating' is done none of it approaches what may be the real truth as was written by veteran investigative journalist Seymour Hersh in that the whole thing was more Iran-Contra II than Watergate. It is all just a distraction while the real business of America - which is war - continues in the background.

Oceania Has Always Been at War with Eastasia

The neocon anti-Putin propaganda campaign made landfall in the perspective section of my local ‘liberal’ newspaper Sunday morning causing me no small amount of indigestion over breakfast. In addition to a reprinting of that insane Washington Post Gary Kasparov diatribe  (this is Florida for Christ’s sake – NASCAR country) there were various and sundry other screeds, all pushing the same centralized talking points for open hostilities towards Russia. It may only be a coincidence but the frenzied escalation in Cold War era rhetoric has exploded just as looming cuts to the bloated US defense budget were coming, the warfare state like any parasite must devour the host in order to survive and nothing brooks continued employment and profits more than a state of eternal warfare. As the optimist who was George Orwell so brilliantly nailed it in his enduring view of a future dystopia in the novel 1984 – “Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia” and this alone is exactly why the future will be that of “a boot stamping on a human face — forever”.

The entire US establishment is ‘all-in’ pushing for the avenging of the indignities inflicted upon The Homeland and its preening narcissist of a front man Barack Obama by the detested Vladimir Putin. The daily escalation of the propaganda wars only takes a break for coverage of that missing Malaysian jetliner and even then it is spun to advance the agenda of the warfare and surveillance states by fascist scum the likes of safely gerrymandered Congressmen Michael McCaul of Texas and Mike “Ramrod” Rogers of Michigan. Appearing on this week's NBC gabfest Meet the Press with the insipid faux jounalist David Gregory Rogers continued his Sunday morning sermons where he continues to embarrasses all of America by just riffing off  unchallenged. The weekly offering was made even more ridiculous by the invocation of what is an obvious talking point - in all probability supplied by one of the think tanks or media chop shops within the William Kristol neocon Axis of Evil:

“Mr. Putin we’re done with you expanding into other countries. He goes to bed at night thinking of Peter the Great, he wakes up thinking of Stalin. We need to understand who he is and what he wants.”

Such a zinger is much too highbrow for a knuckle-dragger like Rogers and the reliance on the bread and butter neocon World War II references as a crutch is a dead giveaway. Really though, if anyone has balls enough to invoke both Hitler and Stalin in the same sentence it would be Rogers, his ongoing defense of the rogue NSA surveillance machine, one that totally blows away any ever utilized by the Gestapo or NKVD - either of which Rogers would have fit very nicely within as a key member of the inner circle.

Like a late stage manic pederast the man just cannot restrain himself. He also upped the once ante again by accusing Snowden of being involved in actual collaboration with that demonic destroyer of worlds Putin. If Rogers has any proof whatsoever one would think that he could rapidly mobilize some secret congressional tribunal to make his accusations actually stick for a change but he is content to be a cheap imitation of Richard M. Nixon relentlessly going after his own Alger Hiss.  That this guy never, ever gets called on any of the insane bullshit and lies that he constantly pulls out of his ass without the burden of proof is the ultimate example of how the state-corporate media has been turned into nothing less than a propaganda machine to be used - as Rogers' beloved NSA Stasi is - as a weapon of the criminal political class against the American people. If there was ever a man as totally full of bullshit as Congressman Rogers – that is outside of Senator Joseph McCarthy  - I have no idea of who it would be. The man is a walking, talking example of everything that has gone so horribly wrong in this once great country and yet he is allowed to preside over the powerful House Intelligence Committee and like the de facto president, neo-Nazi loving Senator John McCain is regularly afforded national face time on the Sunday morning ‘news’ circuit.

The rush to stick it to Putin, even if it results in some freak accident that triggers a global thermonuclear war has this country on the precipice of a serious and historic disaster and unless there is some adult leadership that is above the pay grades of foaming at the mouth warmongers like Rogers and McCain as well as the thin-skinned Obama that soon appears to reign these assholes in then the worst is yet to come.  The supreme commander of NATO which should have been dismantled and scattered to the winds after the end of the Cold War is mouthing off about some fantasy that Russian troops are soon to invade Moldova as the regional tensions continue to escalate. Obama is to make his grand appearance at the Hague (where he should be standing in the dock) for nuclear talks where he will be meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping to muster up support for economic sanctions against Putin. I would like to be a fly on the wall for that conversation considering that the news was just broken yesterday about the NSA Stasi's spying on Chinese tech giant Huawai as well as Chinese government itself. That should be one hell of an icebreaker as the flaming hypocrisy of the American global bully is exposed once again.

When it comes to American double standards you have to hand it to El Presidente's better half Michelle Obama who in her recent visit to China has the audacity to lecture the Chinese about free speech. Her husband and his administration have zero respect for such a concept with their ongoing war on journalists and whistleblowers.  China is only ahead of the curve and considering the rapidly metastasizing surveillance and police state that her hubby presides over it is only a matter of time when The Homeland rockets past the future dominant world power in terms of the raw force of the big government using all of the tools in the box to crush dissent and any serious opposition to their new world order enforced on behalf of the elite.
