Call For Genocide Adds to Israel's Mounting Public Relations Problem

It's not like Israel has enough of a public relations problem with the mounting "collateral damage" from Operation Protective Edge but when moronic bloggers are openly calling for genocide it doesn't help the cause. In a deranged screed that was published by The Times of Israel and then rapidly removed after mounting outrage triggered by the ill-advised posting by Yochanan Gordon. The piece also appeared on The Five Towns Jewish Times, a Long Island based newspaper and website founded by his father. Both rapidly sites issued apologies for the piece and should hang their heads in shame for ever allowing such a thing to slip by their editors. It only serves to bolster anti-Israel sentiment, feeds the bloodlust for killing Palestinians, fills the coffers of corrupt U.S. politicians and makes for an easy win in the media and propaganda scrum for warmongers on both sides (and within the arms industry) who benefit from the ongoing inability to bring peace to the region.

In the offensive piece Gordon makes light of an ongoing human tragedy, trivializing it with sports references, in particular NBA basketball:

I wasn’t aware of this, but it seems that the nature of warfare has undergone a major shift over the years. Where wars were usually waged to defeat the opposing side, today it seems – and judging by the number of foul calls it would indicate – that today’s wars are fought to a draw. I mean, whoever heard of a timeout in war? An NBA Basketball game allows six timeouts for each team during the course of a game, but last I checked this is a war! We are at war with an enemy whose charter calls for the annihilation of our people. Nothing, then, can be considered disproportionate when we are fighting for our very right to live.

It is getting so bad that even Elliott Abrams, a former Reagan official, Iran-Contra criminal and member of the Council on Foreign Relations or CFR. as it is commonly known on the far-right is questioning the wisdom of U.S. military aid to Israel. Abrams was interviewed in a piece that ran  in the Dallas Morning News from which I excerpt:

You’re part of a growing body of Israel supporters who believe it’s time for Israel to stand on its own financially, without U.S. military aid. Why do you believe that should happen?

Of course, this is a medium- or long-term matter, unrelated to the current tensions between Obama and Israel. I’m not in favor of cutting aid now, because it would seem punitive and seem a part of those tensions. But in the long run, Israel is growing richer and soon will have natural gas in abundance. Justifying the aid becomes harder in that economic sense. Moreover, I think our best military alliances do not include aid — just mutual respect, cooperation and interdependence: Japan, Canada, Australia, South Korea, the U.K. and others like them.

Wouldn’t there be significant blowback domestically in the United States, regardless of whether it’s Barack Obama or someone else in the White House who initiates such cuts?

That depends on how aid is cut — for example, slowly over 10 years is different from all at once — and the nature of the military relationship that we have if and when aid starts coming down. We [can] cut off economic aid entirely without blowback. If it’s the right thing to do, it can be managed.

Abrams isn't talking about a drastic and immediate reduction but it is an image problem having U.S. bombs and other munitions being used against civilians. This sort of thing is not in the best interests of either the United States or Israel (let alone the dead children that Netanyahu is racking up) and Mr. Abrams should be given a hell of a lot of credit for his stance. It would be a damn good thing if more like Abrams could rise above the ongoing cynical use of Israel and Palestine as political footballs to become the sort of respected and wise elder statesmen who are able to work towards long-term solutions.

The fire-bombers like Yochanan Gordon and his ilk are doing in writing exactly what those who would resort to terrorist acts against Israel and America do with suicide vests and homemade bombs - or hijacked airliners for that matter. Given my contempt for Abrams for his role in Iran-Contra and other machinations of the shadow government this is high praise indeed.

The violence that is being perpetrated by the extremist Netanyahu government in Gaza must stop and not only should Americans reject arming this fanatic but he and all who support his Naziesque megalomania need to be denounced and held accountable as the war criminals that they are.

Shit like what this guy wrote should be condemned by all who value human decency and hopefully more will follow the examples of the two publications in which it ran that soundly denounced it as the embarrassment to Israel that it is. I often write as if ALL of Israel is an insane, racist, fascist nation but it it isn't. There are decent people, humanitarian people and liberals who are forced to live under Bibi's jackboot - much like those progressive and liberal Americans who have to live in the deep south red states behind the cornbread curtain.

Decent Israel citizens must unite against Netanyahu to bring about the one regime change that is desperately needed so that the endless cycle murder and violence can be halted.

Florida Group Gets Message Out About Israeli War Crimes in Gaza

A central Florida based activist group, St. Pete for Peacehas taken the initiative to circumvent a corrupt and biased media in order to spread awareness about the ongoing Israeli ethnic cleansing operation in Gaza. Despite the long-term consequences of the unconditional backing of the right-wing government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the unspeakable truth that their tax money is being used to finance the murders of unarmed civilians (including children) Americans are ill-served by a media and political class that has a vested interest in maintaining a particular narrative. That narrative is that Israel is the victim rather than the oppressor and that Israel is the only "democracy" in the Middle East, despite an increasing trend towards racism, suppression of critics of official government policy and most of all extreme violence.

On Saturday, the group posted a series of signs at high traffic locations -including the placement of a banner on a bridge over a high volume St. Petersburg intersection in the vicinity of a major shopping mall and an assortment of national brand discount stores and chain restaurants. The obvious hope being that the seeds of awareness be planted given the complete absence of any semblance of honest media coverage. 

The story line of choice is that Israel is always the victim, a scruffy little underdog facing an existential crisis and surrounded by enemies devoted to exterminate the Jewish state. Nothing could be farther than the truth though as Israel has continually proven to be the aggressor and enjoys a vast military superiority as well as a propaganda machine that is second to none. Activist Dina Formentini of St. Pete for Peace states that "Israel frequently plays the victim role in order to justify its violence. But you can't be an aggressor and a victim at the same time". Americans will never be allowed any glimpse at the factual basis of this oft-repeated big lie which is what makes grass roots efforts like that undertaken by St. Pete for Peace all the more important.

The Fruits of U.S. Taxpayer Military Aid to Israel

The largest of the messages of the group's "banner drop" read "You Gave 3.2 Billion to Israel Last Year & All You Got Was Lousy Genocide". This being a reference to the ongoing U.S. taxpayer subsidizing of human rights abuses and war crimes including the bombinof hospitals, schools and the shelling of children playing soccer on a beach.

The U.S. annually sends over an estimated $3 billion dollars in military aid to Israel. An emergency approval of an additional $225 million was just pushed through right before the most worthless Congress in U.S. history slithered out of Washington for their latest five week vacation on the taxpayer dole. Other smaller signs strategically placed by St. Pete for Peace read: "Gaza Strip the New Warsaw Ghetto", "U.S. Politicians are Israel's b*tch", "Israel Couldn't Act Like Punks Without U.S. Support", "Israel Can't Be Victim And Aggressor" and "Anti-Occupation is Not Anti-Semitic". Some have likely already denounced the placing of the signs as "anti-Semitic" which has for too long been the sleazy and vile pejorative that critics of Israeli human rights abuses, war crimes and the astounding and dangerous servility of the U.S. political class to the Israel Lobby are routinely smeared as being. The very idea that any objections by American citizens having their tax money spent on bombs and bullets for Israel that are going to be used to kill women and children could be anti-Semitic flies in the face of the right to freedom of speech that at least theoretically still exists in this country.

Jeanie Toth, who as a member of St. Pete for Peace has faced such smears by pro-Israel activists stated that:

"For the past 6 years we've protested at the annual AIPAC meetings in Washington, where the world's most powerful pro-Israel supporters attend 3 days of meetings and pep talks. Invariably, AIPAC attendees bark the same words to us as they pass our protests: "You are a Holocaust denier and Arabs are trying to wipe Israel off the map, so we have to use force whenever necessary. We know the world hates us, but we'd rather be feared than liked." I always respond with, "I DO believe the Holocaust happened and it was wrong. But now Israel is the one carrying out a genocide. And much of the world despises Israel, not because it is a Jewish nation, but because of how violent it is"

In a very nasty bit of irony, hard right Israeli writers, clerics and bloggers have actually called for the eradication of the Palestinian people. Just days ago The Times of Israel ran an insane screed entitled "When Genocide is Permissable" by a writer named Yochanan Gordon but nearly immediately retracted it after social media outrage. Another piece by blogger Irwin E. Blank s imilarly advocated that Israel engage in genocide (although this one is couched in biblical justification) wasn't similarly flushed down the memory hole. When even some Israelis are calling for the slaughter of an entire race it is hard to take the the accusations of being critics of Israel being tantamount to being "Holocaust deniers" with a straight face. Ms. Toth says that"Jews lament that Palestinians don't believe Israel has the right to exist. But does Israel believe Palestine has the right to exist?. It sure doesn't behave as if it does."

Were Americans to be honestly informed as to the true nature of the ongoing and tragic story of Israel and Palestine there would likely be political pressure exerted to reign in Israel and force them to the table for good faith negotiations that would break the cycle of violence. This however is not in the best interest of the either the Israel Lobby nor the American political establishment, the majority of them in Congress who rely on the financial and election year support of American based Israeli front groups and fear their wrath if they don't bow to their relentless pressure.

Unwavering U.S. Support is Bad for Israel as well as America

"As I've said time and again, neither I nor the United States will ever waver in our commitment to the security of Israel and the Israeli people... Budgets in Washington are tight, but our commitment to Israel's security remains ironclad. The United States is committed to providing more than $3 billion each year to help finance Israel's security through 2018."

There is a false belief that Democrats are better in terms of having a more moderate stance towards the Palestinians than strident and demagogic Republicans who must pander to their extremist Christian Zionist base. In reality, the opposite is true as there is lockstep support for the right-wing Netanyahu regime with the "lesser of two evils" party. When "Bibi" spoke before a joint session of Congress a few years ago he basked in the thunderous roar of no fewer than 29 standing ovations- it was a truly bipartisan orgy of adoration and no foreign leader outside of Sir Winston himself with his famous "Iron Curtain" speech has ever been elicited such a twisted love from the putative elected representatives of the American people.

Prominent Democrats, including former Secretary of State and likely next President of the United States, Hillary Clinton are among the most ardent defenders of the current policies of Netanyahu's bloodthirsty regime and yet are still criticized as being insufficiently pro-Israel by political opponents. President Barack Obama, despite an at times chilly personal relationship with "King Bibi"continues to promise more U.S. taxpayer money to continue to underwrite the murders of women and children which Chris Ernesto of St. Pete for Peace addresses in his recent column at Antiwar.com "Thank You President Obama, Love Israel".

Mr. Ernesto also addresses this bit of what passes for conventional wisdom:

"There's a huge misconception that Democrats are better for Palestinians (and other Arabs and/or Muslims) than the Republicans. But that's not supported by the facts. Indeed, the Obama administration has been the best friend Israel has had in years. And Obama has dropped bombs on 6 Muslim countries during his presidency - George W. Bush dropped bombs in 4 Muslim countries - so how are Democrats better for the Muslim world?"

Democrats aren't better for Palestinians and has been so far proven during the Obama era they aren't better for civil liberties, economic equality, holding the criminals in Wall Street gambling casinos accountable for their fraud, privacy rights or the protection of freedom of the press and the rights of whistleblowers. An old acquaintance friend of mine who was an avowed Marxist once told me that "both parties are killers, the Democrats are only better at pretending not to be" which given the overwhelming evidence is hard to argue with.

"There is only one solution to ending Israeli aggression - stop US support of their violence. The only way this could happen is if people who vote for Democrats tell their representatives to stop supporting Israel or never get their vote again" said Marianne Huber of St. Pete for Peace. Ms. Toth adds that:

"US politicians are Israel's b*tch. Many US politicians know the only way to get elected or re-elected is with money from the pro-Israel lobby. Once in power, those same politicians enthusiastically support the state of Israel's atrocities. In fact, just 12 hours after Obama's victory in the Democratic Presidential primaries, his very first stop was at AIPAC where he put on an Israel/US lapel pin, and told the crowd that he "understood the Zionist idea." The only way to counter this is for so-called liberals to tell their Democratic elected officials to shape up or never get their vote again. If groups like CAIR and news outlets like Democracy Now! pushed this idea, we'd see a change."

In the humble opinion of this blogger it would be a damned good start. The Israel Lobby is relentless, well-funded and impeccably organized but is largely allowed to get away with their bullying, boycotting and extortion tactics only because there is so little grass-roots opposition to act as a counter to them.

Members of Congress (both parties) enjoy thumping their chests about American exceptionalism and the moral high ground but there is nothing that is either exceptional nor moral about their support of the ongoing slaughter in Gaza. It is craven and cowardly and serves as yet another shining example of our broken political system. A system in which members of Congress routinely sell-out the long term interests of all of their own constituents as well as traditional American values in order to cater to the whims of moneyed special interest groups such as AIPAC.

In addition to their gaming the system in order to stay in office in the hope of one day landing one of the lucrative lobbying or consulting positions -thanks to Washington's revolving door - this most lamentable Congress plays right into the hands of those who resort to terrorism. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's ongoing killing spree, conducted with the full support of your representatives in Congress, the Obama administration and aspiring Republican presidential candidates only serves as a recruiting campaign for those who seek to avenge Israel's criminal actions upon the country that sends them the military equipment that is then used on innocent women and children.

Osama bin Laden himself once stated that U.S. support of the Israeli occupation of Palestine and the ongoing persecution of the Palestinians was a driving factor in attacking America on September 11, 2001. The mounting death toll in Gaza - in addition to being a crime against humanity - will only serve as an inspiration for another attack in the homeland. Former Vice President Dick Cheney is on record as predicting another terrorist attack "more deadly" than 9/11 will occur "this decade" and if it does, our elected representatives, particularly in the U.S. Congress will have blood on their hands. It is apparent that they don't care about dead Palestinian children and they will be the first to cry in outrage on the next day that the chickens come home to roost all thanks to their own enabling of Israeli war crimes.

Continuing to unconditionally support Israeli human rights abuses, war crimes and the looming Apartheid style of government, oncedemographics make Jews a minority in their own exclusionary "Jewish state" is a recipe for disaster and more violence against Americans. Thanks to the abrogation of their First Amendment responsibility of a free press, the corporate media is depriving Americans of the necessary information to make informed choices that their elected representatives are bound to carry out. This is the way that things are supposed to work in a real democracy, unfortunately due to the one sided coverage of Israel they are deprived of this despite its grave importance. You can find much more balanced reporting in the Israeli media - for example Haaretz - than you will ever find in the U.S. which provides an endless series of national platforms for Netanyahu and his fellow war criminals to sell their genocidal policies in America to the people who will ultimately be the ones who will reap the whirlwind.

St. Pete for Peace is a beacon of hope that with enough involvement and dedication at the grass-roots level that one day "hope and change" may be more than just a cynical campaign slogan.

John Kerry's Sunday Morning Orgy of Bullshit

The last time that Secretary of Skull and Bones John Kerry hit for the cycle on the Sunday morning “news” shows he was pushing a war on Syria that was based on shaky evidence that to this day has not been substantiated. Whirlwind John and his incurable case of diarrhea of the mouth appeared on all five of the Sabbath day feasts of bullshit that far too many Americans believe are credible discussion forums rather than the interlocked propaganda dispersal systems that they are in reality. Kerry was seeking to exploit the shooting down of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 over a war zone in Ukraine on Thursday for political gain in order stick the dagger into the hated Vladimir Putin who foiled Kerry's last slam dunk case for war and has been reviled by the neocon infested State Department ever since.

The weekly array of bloodsucking ghouls trotted out to make their cases becomes increasingly wretched as the desperation of the empire itself does likewise and this Sunday’s slate was an all-star lineup of scum, warmongers and criminals in high places with a couple of perverts thrown in for good measure. In addition to the reigning buffoon from Foggy Bottom there was the lunatic foreign born Texas Senator Ted Cruz along with fellow Senators Robert Menendez (alleged patron of prostitutes) and Bob Corker a triad of apologists for Israeli war crimes on “Fox News Sunday”.  Senator Corker and Menendez have been the tip of the spear when it comes to anti-American treachery by elected officials to sink the P5+1 Iran talks and are exploiting the latest wave of Middle East violence to finally sink it into the soft white underbelly of diplomatic efforts in order to get on with the business of bombing Tehran.

There was Secretary Kerry along with the always strident Senator Lindsey Graham, an rumored closet queen who is probably being blackmailed by the NSA  on NBC’s “Meet the Press” with the always slimy David Gregory from which I excerpt the following from the transcript:

DAVID GREGORY: Secretary Kerry, welcome back to Meet the Press.

SECRETARY JOHN KERRY: I'm glad to be with you, David. Thank you.

DAVID GREGORY: The president demanded absolute cooperation from Russia, from the separatists in Eastern Ukraine. And now the whole was is watching. And the startling developments that the rebels are removing bodies from the crash site, putting them on refrigerated trains, even talk of removing the black box. What do you say about that this morning?

SECRETARY JOHN KERRY: Well, what's happening is really grotesque. And it is contrary to everything that President Putin and Russia said that they would do. There are-- there are reports of drunken separatist soldiers unceremoniously piling bodies into trucks, removing both bodies, as well as evidence, from the site.

They promised unfettered access, David. And the fact is that, right now, they had 75 minutes on Friday, yesterday, three hours. There were shots fired in the area. The separatists are in control. And it is clear that Russia supports the separatists, supplies the separatists, encourages the separatists, trains the separatists. And Russia needs to step up and make a difference here.

DAVID GREGORY: How might the investigation be compromised? The government's ability to determine with certainty who fired this missile, based on what's happening now? And specific I speak here about these reports of the black box being removed.

SECRETARY JOHN KERRY: Well, let me tell you what we know at this point, David, because it tells you a lot about what it going on. In the last month, we have observed major supplies moving in. Several weeks ago, about a 150-vehicle convoy, including armored personnel carriers, tanks, rocket launchers, artillery, all going in and being transferred to the separatists.

We know that they had an SA-11 system in the vicinity, literally hours before the shoot-down took place. There are social media records of that. They were talking, and we have the intercepts of their conversations, talking about the transfer and movement and repositioning of the SA-11 system. The social media showed them with this system moving through the very area where we believe the shoot-down took place, hours before it took place.

Social media, which is an extraordinary tool, obviously, in all of this, has posted recordings of separatists bragging about the shoot-down of a plane at the time right after it took place. The defense minister, so-called, self-appointed, of the People's Republic of Donetsk, Mr. Igor Strelkov, actually posted a bragging statement on the social media about having shot down a transport. And then, when it became apparent it was civilian, they quickly removed that particular posting.

Anyone other than a sociopath or a desperate used car salesman in the waning hours of the month before Christmas could possibly tell so many lies with a straight face. The echo chamber is fully functional in that anything that the coup d'etat - then illegitimate election installed neo-Nazi mob in Kiev pulls out of their asses is then floated in a US corporate media brand name publication - one story that Kerry refers to is in Rupert Murdoch's Wall Street Journal reporting the removal of bodies form the crash site. The propaganda is then launched like a particularly stinky turd into the sewage system on the Sunday morning "news" circuit and will provide the narrative that drives the coming week's relentless drive to frame Putin for the airliner shoot down. The reference to "drunken separatist soldiers" is a nice touch and the incident of the shooting down of a jetliner full of civilians would certainly be the act of a pack of drunken animals - like the one's that won't be talked about in the closed US propaganda system but has been noted by veteran investigative journalist Robert Parry over at the excellent Consortium News in a story entitled "Airline Horror Spurs New Rush to Judgment" from which I excerpt:

Regarding the shoot-down of the Malaysian jetliner on Thursday, I’m told that some CIA analysts cite U.S. satellite reconnaissance photos suggesting that the anti-aircraft missile that brought down Flight 17 was fired by Ukrainian troops from a government battery, not by ethnic Russian rebels who have been resisting the regime in Kiev since elected President Viktor Yanukovych was overthrown on Feb. 22.

According to a source briefed on the tentative findings, the soldiers manning the battery appeared to be wearing Ukrainian uniforms and may have been drinking, since what looked like beer bottles were scattered around the site. But the source added that the information was still incomplete and the analysts did not rule out the possibility of rebel responsibility.

But you can count on it that any alternative explanation other than the preordained conclusion of the fully insane leaders of the empire will never make it onto the TV and as anyone who is an American is aware - it just can't be true if it isn't on the electronic crackpipe.

Then there was Skull and Bones Kerry and the fascist extremist outgoing House Intelligence Committee boss Mike Rogers – a pathological liar – along with the child murdering monster Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netnanyahu (why exactly does the head of a foreign country currently engaged in crimes against humanity merit so much face time on American national television?} on ABC’s “This Week”. Kerry and the rest of the US political class have gall to continually carp about the possibility of Putin sending weapons to the anti-Kiev, anti-fascist federalists in east Ukraine while at the very same time US taxpayer money continues to be funneled into Israel to conduct barbaric attacks on civilians like that which is currently going on in Gaza but that is another story altogether. There is the obvious and now routine hypocrisy evident and it is especially so when Netanyahu is trotted out on American television to deliver his concocted line of public relations horseshit while his military is engaged in the murder of civilians - that it is on the same show where a fraud like Kerry exploits the civilian deaths of the MH17 passengers is the height of perverse irony.   

Kerry along with top guardian of the NSA unconstitutional surveillance and data-mining programs Senator Dianne Feinstein as well as the deranged Representative Michael McCaul of Texas – who just called for internment camps for migrant children- on CNN’s “State of the Union” and to top it off there was Kerry and the pudgy virulent anti-Muslim bigot  from Long Island Peter King – a real authority on terrorism as he avidly supported the murderous IRA – on CBS’s “Face the Nation”. All that was missing were Dick and Liz Cheney regurgitating their bullshit about ties between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda and John McCain crapping his Grampers again but they are afforded coverage on a near daily basis as they spew their lies and calling for war, war and even more war.

If anyone wishes to see an example of the rottenness and soulless decadence of the political class of an empire that has abrogated any semblance of morality as it all begins to collapse in on itself only need turn on their televisions each and every Sunday morning.

Sunday morning television in the USA!, USA!, USA! is where the weekly talking points are trotted out by the political elite and the Washington war machine. War criminals are feted as statesmen and given the sort of credibility they are undeserving of, in any decent and civilized society mass-murderers, psychopaths and fiends are tried for their crimes and thrown in prison or executed - on our great star-spangled lemming farm they are given a nationally televised forum.

Making an appearance this week on CBS's Face the Nation is the insane, fascist, racist demagogue Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who after whipping his country into a frenzy of blood vengeance over the unfortunate abduction and murder of three young Jews was given the excuse for a massive series of air strikes on Gaza, destroying civilian areas and murdering, women, children and the elderly. Not that it is surprising that the global criminality of the state of Israel, the festering wart on the ass of humanity is not only accepted in The Homeland but embraced it is just another sign of the selling of the American soul to the dealers of death who profit off of selling their murder machines to megalomaniacs like Bibi. Netanyahu is the scum of the Earth yet treated like some sort of exalted demigod in this country which is saturated with a bastardized, ultra-violent chicken-fried version of Christianity in which Jesus, having been chased from the temple by the moneychangers copped a serious attitude and became a sort of terminator figure dispensing vengeance like hollow point bullets spraying from the Arnold Schwarzenegger character's many guns. The mega-selling Left Behind pulp trash Armageddon series written by the batshit crazy Reverend Timothy LaHaye has virtually replaced the bible and adherents to the mutated Christianity need Israel to start that final conflagration that will kick off The Rapture and send them flying up into the sky dirty nasty nekkid to sit at the foot of God's throne as spectators while those remaining on Earth suffer a myriad of horrible fates for the benefit of their amusement.

He is showered with adulation by a criminal Congress who during a 2013 address gave the obnoxious fat Jew 29 fucking standing ovations. Pat Buchanan had it dead on when he once called Congress "Israeli occupied territory" and the almighty power of foreign agents working for AIPAC and other components of the Israel lobby enforce Bibi's will through harassment and intimidation so that our elected representatives always put the interests of a foreign country - and a murderous one at that - first and foremost before those of America.

Journalist Max Blumenthal who wrote the eye opening book on the ongoing disintegration of Israeli society in its shift to a virulent fascist state "Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel" that had American Zionist cheerleaders for Israeli war crimes including so-called liberals squealing like stuck pigs - published an outstanding piece on exactly how Netanyahu and his regime deliberately lied about the three murdered boys to incite the populace and justify his attack on Gaza. Blumenthal's piece is over at Electronic Intifada and is entitled "Netanyahu government knew teens were dead as it whipped upracist frenzy" from which I excerpt:

From the moment three Israeli teens were reported missing last month, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the country’s military-intelligence apparatus suppressed the flow of information to the general public. Through a toxic blend of propaganda, subterfuge and incitement, they inflamed a precarious situation, manipulating Israelis into supporting their agenda until they made an utterly avoidable nightmare inevitable. Israeli police, intelligence officials and Netanyahu knew within hours of the kidnapping and murder of the three teens that they had been killed. And they knew who the prime suspects were less than a day after the kidnapping was reported. Rather than reveal these details to the public, Israel’s Shin Bet intelligence agency imposed a gag order on the national media, barring news outlets from reporting that the teens had almost certainly been killed, and forbidding them from revealing the identities of their suspected killers. The Shin Bet even lied to the parents of the kidnapped teens, deceiving them into believing their sons were alive. Instead of mounting a limited action to capture the suspected perpetrators and retrieve the teens’ bodies, Netanyahu staged an aggressive international public relations campaign, demanding sympathy and outrage from world leaders, who were also given the impression that the missing teens were still alive. Meanwhile, Israel’s armed forces rampaged throughout the occupied West Bank and bombarded the Gaza Strip in a campaign of collective punishment deceptively marketed to Israelis and the world as a rescue mission.

It is an outstanding piece and an expose of the complete depravity of Netanyahu who is growing ever more desperate and dangerous. Blumenthal also did an interview with libertarian talk radio host Scott Horton that is at Antiwar.com - it's only a half hour long so after reading the piece go and listen to the podcast.

King Bibi the Deranged understands that the only way to tamp down the coming demographic wave that will eventually make Jews the minority in a Jewish (racist) state is to begin murdering more Palestinians. The other outcome would be an Apartheid state in which the minority repress the majority through exclusionary laws, police and military force exercised with maximum brutality and permanent subhuman status assigned to those whose primary offense was in complaining when their land was stolen from them under a bullshit mandate from God, a mythical figure invented by primates and of whom there is no way to prove even exists. With the escalating violence and oppression, the racism and now the pogroms and revenge killings like the torture murder of that 16 year old boy who was beaten, forced to drink gasoline and burned alive by hooligans incited by the ravings of the demagogue Netanyahu one of the sick jokes of history is being made more evident by the day. The Jews - particularly the Israelis have become that which served as the reason for the creation of their exclusionary country: the Nazis. Think about it, the militarism, indoctrination of the youth into a world of delusion and hatred, the relentless push for the acquisition of more territory, much like the German concept of lebensraum and the widely accepted idea that the impure be eradicated. There are a good many extremist Jews in Israel today who would like nothing better than to build the gas chambers, render the bodies into soap and use the skin of Palestinian children for their fucking lampshades. The orgy of anger and violence the preceded the ongoing pulverizing of Gaza has made it perfectly clear exactly what that country and it's exceptional, chosen by God people stand for.

But like the lies about the Obama regime's green-lighting of neo-Nazi militias to engage in a spree of brutal ethnic cleansing in Ukraine the corrupt state-corporate media cover it all up with the constant stream of lies that permeates our electronically enhanced consciousness.
