Whining Pays: Rules Changed for Fiorina to Make Debate as Knives are Out for Trump

Former Hewlett Packard CEO turned presidential candidate Carly Fiorina has successfully forced a rule change in order to qualify for the big stage for the upcoming Republican debate. Fiorina’s triumph is the result of her “going to war” with the RNC as well as the need for an establishment hellbent at destroying runaway leader Donald Trump on the stage in two weeks. It’s sad to say but CNN and the RNC have been bullied into using some of that affirmative action that most conservatives are vehemently opposed to and other than her ugly public whining campaign it was ultimately her vagina that facilitated the backtracking. 

Once the millions of dollars of anti-Donald advertising are launched into the airwaves like toxic sewage into a pristine body of water, it is incumbent upon those on stage to brutally pummel Trump in front of a huge national television audience. Carly will bring the misogyny club and will wield it like an avenging Valkyrie in order to bludgeon the billionaire outsider.

Politico reports on the flip-flop to accommodate Ms. Fiorina in the story “CNN changes debate criteria, clearing path for Fiorina”:

CNN announced on Tuesday that it has changed the criteria for its upcoming debate, making space for Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina on the primetime stage.

Fiorina had argued for weeks that CNN's debate criteria unfairly weighted early field leaders over contenders like her who have polled better since the Fox News debate on Aug. 6.

According to CNN, any candidate who ranks in the top 10 between Aug. 6 and Sept. 10 will be included in the primetime debate on Sept. 16. Also allowed in the main show will be candidates who scored in the top 10 averages of all approved national polls between July 16 and Sept. 10, as the original criteria released in May stated. This means it is possible there will be more than 10 candidates on the primetime debate stage.

The new approach allows the network to avoid looking like it's favoring Fiorina at the expense of candidates such as Chris Christie and Rand Paul who would have been at risk of getting bumped to the earlier debate if CNN had more heavily weighted later polls, as Fiorina had suggested.

Still, CNN warned in an announcement that final podium placements won't be known until Sept. 10, after all national polls have come in.

"In the event that any candidate is polling in the top 10 in an average of approved national polls released between August 7th and September 10th, we will add those candidates to our top tier debate, even if those candidates did not poll in the top 10 in an average of approved national polls between July 16th and September 10th," CNN said in a statement. "We have discussed these changes with the Republican National Committee and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, and they are fully supportive."

The horse-faced Fiorina was regaled by the mercenary media after her ‘winning’ of the “kid’s table” debate in Cleveland last month and has been a strident critic of Mr. Trump. While it is debatable as to whether being able to out talk six stammering stumblebums is really winning, her public relations team has worked hard to float the idea that she is a legitimate candidate for the presidency. 

The establishment is going to do everything in their power to turn the next debate into Trump’s Waterloo so changing the rules in the middle of the game isn’t even an issue. It should be one hell of a show though because Jeb! is blasting Trump in Spanish and Chris Christie has vowed to “go nuclear” onstage so be sure to have plenty of popcorn on hand for what will be an exercise in the same incivility that the establishment selectively decries.

Will Mitt Romney Ride In On a White Horse to Save GOP from Trump?

You just had to know that Mitt Romney wasn’t going to just piss off and go away gracefully. He didn’t just slink off into the sunset to a life of political exile and great material wealth after snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in the 2012 election and when he announced that he wasn’t running this time around it was hard to take him seriously. Now, just like that recurrent case of incurable herpes that can never be vanquished, the Mittster may be getting ready to re-enter the scene as the man on the white horse who will rescue the GOP establishment from the hated Donald Trump. There are reports that the deep-pocketed donors are less than thrilled with the current field and are practically down on their knees begging God that Romney will reconsider and carry the day since it is getting pretty clear that Jeb! is in way over his head.

Romney is said to be appalled at how Trump has rocketed to the lead in polls and like the typical elitist snob, thinks that the Donald is uncouth and unsuitable as the GOP nominee. According to a story from New York Magazine entitled “Romney Is Horrified by Trump — and That’s Restarting ‘Mitt 2016’ Talk”:

As Donald Trump continues to dominate the Republican presidential race, frustration and panic have become high enough to make some inside the party Establishment pine for a candidate they roundly rejected as recently as January: Mitt Romney. Romney himself has become one of Trump’s most vocal detractors inside the party. “He’s someone to whom civility means a lot. The whole Trump thing really bothers him,” a close Romney adviser told me — and some Romney-ites are only too happy to talk up the prospect of their man jumping into the race if the Establishment fails to stop Trump, whose support in Iowa and New Hampshire is currently greater than Jeb Bush's, Scott Walker's, Marco Rubio's, Chris Christie's, and John Kasich's combined.

“Mitt wants to run. He never stopped wanting to run,” a senior member of his 2012 team told me. Other Romney-ites, watching this cycle’s candidates falling short, feel a sense of vindication after all the attacks they endured after Romney's failed 2012 bid. "These guys like Walker and Perry, they were big deals in their states, but you get them onto the national stage and it's a different story," a former Romney adviser told me. "It's like they were in middle school, and now they're freshmen in high school and they're getting their faces slammed in the toilets."

Mitt is either an egomaniac or a lunatic who believes that he is the chosen one to fulfill the Mormon “White Horse Prophecy” but the man is driven by something. The establishment is going to spend millions of dollars in a shock and awe barrage of negative advertising against Trump in September in the hope that something can finally stop him even though he has survived several concerted attempts to take him down already. If the September media onslaught fails to mortally wound Trump and voters don’t start to warm up to John Ellis Bush, then Romney may be just the man to take on the varmint. 

It would almost be like a real life version of Clint Eastwood’s “Pale Rider” with Mitt as hired gun Marshal Stockburn being brought in to solve a problem for the wealthy town boss and anyone who saw the movie knows how well that turned out.

Chris Christie Wants to Hire FEDEX CEO to Devise Immigrant Tracking System

Governor Flounder aka Chris Christie may be doomed as far as having any chance to win the 2016 GOP presidential nomination but that won’t stop him from spouting asinine nonsense. In an attempt to overcome his dismal poll numbers, the boss man from the Sopranos state is taking a whack at putting his own stamp on the illegal alien problem. Christie is proposing that a Federal Express style tracking system be implemented in order to keep tabs on foreign visitors and that a Chris Christie administration would contract devising the system out to FedEx CEO Fred Smith - likely at a steep cost to taxpayers. You have to hand it to the guy, he is great at pulling stuff out of his big fat ass that are the wet dreams of a totalitarian state and this system could be the proverbial camel’s nose under the tent leading to the tracking of far more folks than only the illegals.

Chris Christie said Saturday that if elected president, he will track undocumented immigrants like FedEx packages.

"I'm going to have Fred Smith, the founder of FedEx, come work for the government for three months. Just come for three months to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and show these people," the New Jersey governor said at a town hall event here.

Christie added that while FedEx can track boxes, the U.S. can't track undocumented immigrants.

"You go online and at any moment, FedEx can tell you where that package is," he said. "Yet we let people come into this country with visas, and the minute they come in, we lose track of them."

Christie added, "We need to have a system that tracks you from the moment you come in and then when your time is up," he said. "However long your visa is, then we go get you and tap you on the shoulder and say, 'Excuse me, it's time to go.'"

Smith is the father of Samantha Smith, a Christie spokeswoman.

Governor Christie doesn’t bother to mention how he would implement his brilliant system on the millions of illegal aliens and their relatives who are already in the U.S.A. thanks to the failure to secure our porous southern border. What this scheme would more likely lead to is a tracking system that would be a failure when it comes to illegal aliens but would work like a charm when it comes to the federal government keeping tabs on millions of law-abiding American citizens and especially political dissidents.

Just look at how the NSA’s anti-terrorist programs got out of control and have been used to monitor the phone calls, internet activity and financial transactions of American citizens who have never done one damned thing wrong. The terrorists (or in this case immigrants) will end up being the last priority when something like this is rolled out. God forbid, this could even be the beginning of a debate leading to the implanting of microchips into people so that the government can be sure that they aren’t engaging in political activism or behavior deemed to be critical to the establishment.

National security is the last refuge of a scoundrel and Christie, the very definition of a big government loving fascist pig is going to whip up a sense of fear and dread to make a last ditch effort to close the distance between himself and Donald Trump. Pardon the pun but fat chance.

Scott Walker Advocates Canadian Border Wall

Donald Trump’s takeover of the Republican race has exposed his competition as a gaggle of not ready for prime time players. With the Donald soaring in the polls and on the cusp of gaining a stranglehold on the 2016 GOP nomination, the rest of the pack has been turned into stammering stumblebums who are having a very serious problem when it comes to going off script. 

The latest victim of Donald Trump derangement syndrome is Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, the union slayer and early winner of the lottery for the Koch Brothers campaign funding, and his self-immolation is getting uglier by the day. Walker hit the Sunday morning McNews show circuit and in attempting to out Trump the Donald seemed to advocate for the building of a border wall between the United States and Canada.

Walker’s comments were made during an interview on NBC’s Press the Meat (aka Meet the Press) and are reported by CNN in the story “Scott Walker: U.S.-Canada wall a 'legitimate' idea”:

It's not just the southern border: Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says it's "legitimate" to discuss building a wall separating the United States from Canada, as well.

The Republican presidential contender said the idea of a northern border has come up while he has campaigned in New Hampshire.

In an interview for NBC's "Meet the Press" available online, Walker said his tough talk to securing the borders and enforcing U.S. laws extends to the 5,525-mile Canadian border as well.

It's a shift from most campaign-trail rhetoric, which has focused on the United States' border with Mexico, where millions undocumented immigrants have entered the country.

"Some people have asked us about that in New Hampshire," Walker said. "They raised some very legitimate concerns, including some law enforcement folks that brought that up to me at one of our town hall meetings about a week and a half ago. So that is a legitimate issue for us to look at."

Terrorist attacks have been plotted in Canada -- including the so-called "Millennium plot," a foiled 2000 plan in which an Algerian national planned to cross into the United States from Canada and bomb the Los Angeles International Airport.

Walker has focused his immigration remarks on enforcing U.S. laws already on the books in recent weeks.

There must be much consternation going on over at Koch Industries right now, Trump is poaching talent and Walker can’t stop saying dumb things as he tries to close the gap now that he is trailing in Iowa, a state that he presumably had locked down. There is also that thing about using $250 million in taxpayer funds to pay for a new arena for the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks that reeks of crony capitalism. Now Walker is invoking the terrorist bogeyman to float the idea of what would be an extremely costly northern wall along the Canadian border that does zilch to address the millions of illegal aliens coming up from Mexico to take jobs, drop anchor babies and commit crimes. Trump should have a heyday with this.

This dude is either dumber than a bucket of shit - my suspicion - or he is getting some very, very bad advice from his staff. While Walker can’t be called out as a RINO like Jeb! and so many of the rest of the field, he is going end up as road kill run over by the Trump express just like the others unless he gets a clue and gets it quickly. Charles and David Koch must be pulling their hair out as they watch their longtime investment go up like a flaming bag of dogshit before their eyes. 

Even Frank Luntz is Now Saying that Trump May be Unstoppable

In a troubling sign for the Republican party establishment, even their longtime pollster Frank Luntz has been forced to admit that insurgent candidate Donald Trump may now be unstoppable. Luntz, who ran afoul of Trump with his obviously rigged focus group right after the big Fox News debate and was blasted as a “low class slob” by the Donald, has conducted another focus group study and the results are stunning. The people who were involved indicated that their support for Trump marked a total rejection of a political establishment that has finally taken a dump on them one time too many and that they are mad as hell about it. Mr. Luntz stated that: “This is real. I’m having trouble processing it. Like, my legs are shaking.”

A new focus group commissioned by GOP pollster Frank Luntz shows Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump is virtually invulnerable to attack by rival 2016 candidates and the media, leading Luntz to say that it is now "totally conceivable" that Trump will become the Republican Party's nominee for president.

"The Republican leadership needs to wake up and see that the grass roots has abandoned them," said Luntz, the head of Luntz Global, a top GOP polling and messaging consultancy.

"This is a different cat," Luntz added. "It's not like Ross Perot in 1992, where people were simply unhappy with the two major parties; they're choosing Trump affirmatively. Honestly, my legs are shaking looking at these numbers. All those people who think he's going to implode are wrong. He's not going away."

Assembled in a room behind mirrored glass in an Alexandria, Va. office building, 29 current and former Trump supporters held forth on what they like and dislike about the controversial real estate tycoon, who owns three New Jersey golf courses and once owned three Atlantic City casinos.

Most notably, the intensity of the group's support for Trump was matched only by their dislike of establishment GOP candidates and politics as usual. At one point, a woman named Rhiannon explained her support of Trump by lamenting that "it appears that there's only one party." A whopping 25 of 29 participants in the focus group immediately and heartily agreed with her.

"Nobody is listening to us," echoed another supporter identified only as 'Suzanne.' "(But) he's listening to us, he knows what we think and he's successful just like we want to be."

Elections do have consequences and it is a pretty safe bet that a good deal of the anger towards the GOP establishment and their massive slate of candidates – Jeb! and the 15 dwarfs – stems from the great betrayal of the 2014 mid-term elections. Conservatives mobilized and turned out in huge numbers to express their disapproval with the Obama occupying government and were fired up by promises of change, accountability and stopping Barry’s policies dead in their tracks. They were then rewarded with having a butcher knife embedded between their shoulder blades by the “leadership” dream team of John Boehner and Mitch McConnell who immediately resumed their positions as Obama’s footstools once they had been safely reelected.

Naturally conservatives felt betrayed, especially when McConnell and Boehner surrendered to Obama after they gave up any leverage on preventing amnesty for illegal aliens when that big greasy pork sandwich the "cromnibus" was passed to fund the government last December. There are only so many times that you can play people for chumps and suckers and get away with it and now with a huge number of the party base embracing Trump it looks like the jig is finally up. While the establishment still plots to somehow knock him out – barring him from ballot access in Virginia is the latest scheme – the ship has sailed as far as being able to easily sell the Bush restoration to the peasants who now have armed themselves with pitchforks.

When even a guy like Frank Luntz is forced to admit that Trump’s support is real and growing and that he could be the nominee – a Clinton slayer – it should serve as a wake-up call for the party bosses to get out in front of the parade lest they be trampled by it.

The Terminator: New Poll Shows Indestructible Donald Trump Still Leading the Pack

He takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Insurgent outsider Donald Trump has once again survived everything that the establishment media can throw at him and has emerged relatively unscathed and still leading the pack. After three days of non-stop pounding over phantom comments he allegedly made about Fox News hostess Megyn Kelly having her period in the aftermath of the big Republican debate, the first reputable poll shows the Donald way out front of the competition. The party bosses, big time donors and media moguls have to be stunned that Trump - after having already survived the carpet bombing over the senile old fool John McCain that was to have done him in - has now come through the firestorm after another relentless media bombardment that would have destroyed lesser men.

The poll, conducted by Reuters/Ipsos has Trump still taking all of his competition for the Republican nomination to the woodshed by a large margin. Reuters reports on the failure to crush the most hated man in America in the story “Exclusive: Trump's Republican support holds strong post-debate - Reuters/Ipsos poll”:

Donald Trump continued to defy the laws of political gravity on Monday as a Reuters/Ipsos poll found the real estate mogul holding onto a wide lead among Republicans in the U.S. presidential race despite an acerbic debate and a feud with a female television anchor that have bolstered charges of sexism.

Trump led the party's 17-strong 2016 presidential field with the backing of 24 percent of Republican voters, unchanged from before Thursday's televised debate.

His closest rival, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, trails at 12 percent, down from 17 percent before the debate. No other candidate earned more than 8 percent in the online poll, conducted between the end of the debate and Sunday.

The reality television star has been under intense criticism for caustic comments about Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly during and after the debate, and was disinvited from a weekend gathering of conservative activists in Georgia after he said Kelly, who helped moderate the debate, had "blood coming out of her wherever."

Trump has been a focus of controversy since June, when he entered the race for the Republican nomination in the November 2016 election.

Harsh comments about Mexican immigrants drew widespread condemnation and prompted some business partners to sever ties, while his feud with Arizona Senator John McCain, the party's 2008 presidential nominee, has angered many party officials.

But the drama has done little so far to dent Trump's appeal among less affluent, conservative-leaning voters who say his brash style is needed to shake up an overly cautious political system and that his vast wealth would help him resist corrupting influences.

"They want someone who's an outsider, who can upset the applecart," said Craig Robinson, a former political director of the Iowa Republican Party. "They're willing to deal with a less-than-perfect candidate if they believe it will actually change things in Washington."

HBO’s smarmy comedian Bill Maher may have had it right when during this weekend’s show he stated that “Fox tried to put a stake in him and I don’t think they did” and that he could go all the way. The Reuters/Ipsos poll follows an earlier one conducted by NBC/Survey Money and confirms that the establishment may be badly underestimating Trump. He had been wittily tabbed as "Teflon Don" by the punditry but that doesn't do him justice, he's more like the fucking Terminator.

Establishment Media Expected Trump to Grovel, He Doesn’t

Perhaps all of the prancing around with insurgent Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s famous scalp on a stick was a wee bit premature. In the latest ginned up scandal that was being heralded as the torpedo amidships that would sink Trump’s campaign, the denunciations were fast and furious and GOP operatives were already divvying up the Donald’s support. However, once again, the billionaire outsider did not buckle one bit. If you listen to the mainstream media – something only a fool would do in this country anymore – Trump’s spat with Fox News top Kewpie doll Megyn Kelly and the phantom comment about her menstruating was a slam dunk to destroy him. The damage has yet to be seen but the bad man didn't exactly go into hiding after the onslaught.

Trump hit the Sunday morning McNews circuit to defend himself. CNN reports that “Donald Trump: No apology on 'blood' remark amid GOP backlash”:

Presidential candidate Donald Trump defended himself Sunday from the fierce backlash he's received for criticizing Fox News debate moderator Megyn Kelly, insisting he said nothing wrong and that he values women.

"I cherish women," the real estate mogul told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union," adding that he did not mean to imply that Kelly asked him sharp questions during the debate because she was menstruating.

"Who would say that?" Trump said Sunday. "Do you think I'd make a statement like that? Who would make a statement like that? Only a sick person would even think about that."

The extraordinary exchange with Tapper showed how quickly Trump has shifted from a frontrunner who seemingly defied the laws of politics to the public face of a campaign in turmoil.

"You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes," Trump said during an interview with CNN's Don Lemon on Friday night. "Blood coming out of her wherever."

Over the past 48 hours, Trump's own party has piled on to slam his incendiary choice of words, attacking with a vigor not seen during previous controversies during his presidential bid. The backlash has been more intense than what Trump faced over his previous comments on Mexican immigrants and Sen. John McCain's war-hero status. Several of his Republican presidential opponents and even far-right leaning conservatives have called his attack on Kelly offensive and said it was driven by gender.

Trump handled the moment in characteristic fashion -- refusing to give an inch to his detractors and telling Tapper he did "nothing wrong whatsoever."

It is astonishing to see what’s going down this weekend. Normally competing networks are loathe to give any credit to Fox News at all - usually they only bash it to smithereens - yet they are all coming together in a show of unity that is something akin to having been transported into a parallel universe. The Republicans especially are acting as though they are on acid or something, they are more determined to take down Trump than they are the grand succubus herself, Hillary Clinton. Even if this ‘all-in’ coordinated effort succeeds in finally slaying the Donald dragon one has to wonder whether the party has already inflicted upon itself a mortal wound that will bleed all the way into next November.

Break Out the Tin Foil Hats: Washington Post Insinuates that Trump is a Clinton Mole

Incapable of wrapping their minds around exactly why it is that billionaire outsider Donald Trump has rocketed to the top of polls, the establishment is desperate to find a reason to explain how such a thing could possibly happen. The so-called professional consultants, pollsters and political ‘pros’ never saw the overwhelmingly positive public reaction to the Donald coming and these are people who are paid a lot of money to conduct focus groups and studies that treat Americans like stupid lab rats.

Now, on the eve of the first 2016 Republican debate – a debate that the party bosses never wanted Trump to be in – the Washington Post has resorted to crackpot conspiracy theories to explain the Trump phenomenon. Most notably a phone call between Trump and Bill “Slick Willie” Clinton right before he declared his candidacy that just must make Mr. Trump a puppet of the Clinton crime family.

Politico reports on the Trump-Bubba call in the story “Report: Bill Clinton Talked With Donald Trump as He Was Considering White House Run”:

Bill Clinton didn’t tell Donald Trump to run for president, but he reportedly didn’t say not to, either.

The former president and husband to 2016 Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton had a private phone call with the real estate mogul in late May, according to The Washington Post, which cited aides to both Bill Clinton and Trump.

While the timing is interesting — the call came well after Hillary Clinton had thrown her hat in the ring and just weeks before Trump formally announced his White House run — what was discussed appears to be in dispute.

An aide to Clinton reportedly said the presidential race was never specifically discussed. Trump allies, however, said Trump was explicit about his potential interest in a White House bid and that Clinton then analyzed Trump’s prospects, according to the Post.

What the sources from both camps agreed upon, however, was that Clinton did not urge Trump to run.

Despite there being a long-standing relationship between the Clintons and Trump, both professional and personal, the report taps into the conspiracy theories that Trump is carrying some water for Democrats.

The Trump truthers will point to the original story published by the gospel of the imperial city, the Washington Post as proof of the conspiracy. The WAPO it must be noted is the preeminent forum for the influential neocon gaggle who believe that war is the answer to all problems as well they should considering that the military industrial complex and security state are the primary employers of millions in Washington and the surrounding areas. Their very livelihoods depend on a state of permanent war that justifies the confiscation of taxpayer dollars at the expense of anything that actually may benefit them instead of a small, corrupt and entrenched elite. An outsider like Trump may shake things up by – GASP- actually putting America first and directing more taxpayer dollars to securing our own damned border rather than the borders of Iraq and Ukraine and that just can’t be allowed to happen.

It will be interesting to see if one of the lesser candidates – perhaps an ankle biter like Marco Rubio – will bring up the Clinton call during the big debate tonight. It definitely plays into the narrative of the loons and whack jobs like Rubio’s fellow Cuban nutcase, Miami Congressman Carlos Curbelo who was babbling about Trump being a Clinton plant last month. Being a businessman – and therefore needing to play both sides politically – it isn’t exactly a bizarre occurrence or a smoking gun that Trump would talk to Slick Willie who has a history of being chummy with many Republicans.

Trump Express Roars Over John McCain Speed Bump

The establishment threw everything but the kitchen sink at billionaire insurgent Donald Trump with last week’s obvious setup over poor, victimized old John McCain and his “war hero” legend. It has become right up there with saluting the flag, God, mom and apple pie that McCain is the penultimate figurehead for all American service people, past and present. It is practically a national religion and with the amount of media reinforcement that McCain’s time in the Hanoi Hilton gets, it gives a cranky old man who is a very nasty, mean-spirited, duplicitous son of a bitch a free pass to stab Americans in the back with impunity from his position as the most exalted man in the U.S. Senate.

Mr. Trump was lured into what was clearly a planned, coordinated ambush led by the Machiavellian schemer Frank Luntz and the rapidity and totality of the vilification that was heaped upon him was anything but spontaneous. The Washington Post even had a huge hit piece about what Trump did while McCain was suffering as a POW ready to roll out at the beginning of the news cycle. The story magically ended up being a key point of reference for the media drive by shooting. It was well planned and devious as hell.

With practically the entire Republican party field – absent a few notable exceptions like Ted Cruz and Ben Carson – as well as the swarming mainstream media decrying Trump in unity for his blasphemy of the flag-draped McCain, the Donald managed to weather the deluge. Now, according to the first poll after last weekend’s ginned up firestorm, the Trump express has shown that the McCain controversy was nothing more than an inconvenient speed bump.

A YouGov poll taken after Trump’s ill-considered remarks show his support among Republican voters has surged by double digits and well-ahead of Scott Walker and Jeb Bush, his two closest competitors.

The latest poll was taken between the 18th and 20th. Two of those days occurred after Trump’s McCain comments. Regardless, Trump not only held on to first place, he surged to 28% support. Bush came in second with just 14%. Walker came in third with 13%.

Trump is not only in first place, he earns twice the support of second place.

The poll also asked registered Republicans to make a second choice pick. Trump earned 10%, Walker 12%, Bush 6%.

When you combine the two numbers, Trump sits at a commanding 38%. Walker is his closest competitor with just 25%.

Trump’s comments do appear to have damaged his favorability ratings with Republican voters, which dipped from 64% to 53%. His unfavorable rating climbed from 27% to 42%.

There is much being made about Trump’s unfavorable rating climbing post his McCain heresy but he has never been very popular to begin with among a good many Americans who were turned off by his reality television persona. Hell, I have despised Trump for years but his foray into presidential politics have me giving the man a second look because he speaks the truth, puts up with zero bullshit, calls a spade a spade and can’t be bought off. In short all of the very reasons why he is so loathed by the establishment, the snobbish elite in imperial Washington and their prostitute politicians and presstitue media.

The whole episode should really provide a golden opportunity to revisit the entire McCain "war hero" mythology that provides a very nasty man with an impenetrable force field of invulnerability to criticism. There are many troubling stories about exactly what the son of the admiral did while imprisoned as a POW. He definitely collaborated with the enemy by producing commie propaganda, it is undeniable per an actual story that was printed in Stars and Stripes in 1969. There are also the even more disturbing aspects of McCain’s post-Vietnam time according to an extensive piece of investigative journalism by the Pulitzer Prize winning former war correspondent Sydney Schanberg entitled “McCain and the POW Cover-Up” that details the efforts by the “war hero” to quash any chance at investigating and rescuing the remaining men who were MIA in Vietnam. I excerpt from the piece:

John McCain, who has risen to political prominence on his image as a Vietnam POW war hero, has, inexplicably, worked very hard to hide from the public stunning information about American prisoners in Vietnam who, unlike him, didn’t return home. Throughout his Senate career, McCain has quietly sponsored and pushed into federal law a set of prohibitions that keep the most revealing information about these men buried as classified documents. Thus the war hero who people would logically imagine as a determined crusader for the interests of POWs and their families became instead the strange champion of hiding the evidence and closing the books.

Almost as striking is the manner in which the mainstream press has shied from reporting the POW story and McCain’s role in it, even as the Republican Party has made McCain’s military service the focus of his presidential campaign. Reporters who had covered the Vietnam War turned their heads and walked in other directions. McCain doesn’t talk about the missing men, and the press never asks him about them.

Another story from McCain’s days as a fighter pilot gets no attention at all and that is that he may have nearly sank an aircraft carrier single-handedly. Unfortunately that carrier happened to be the USS Forrestal where the young McCain’s hot shot stunt (or a panicky reaction) set into motion a chain of events that could have inflicted a grievous loss that the Vietnamese never could hope to pull off. There were 134 sailors killed as a result and many more badly injured but McCain never was made accountable, thanks to his daddy the admiral. A  post by a dude from the blog Man Talk entitled “Trump is Correct, John McCain is NOT A Hero” has some good commentary about the Forrestal fire. Had McCain been disciplined – like being stripped of his wings - for his role in the Forrestal disaster then he would never have even been shot down in Vietnam. The media exposure would be a good chance to begin to strip away some of his Teflon coating but don’t look for it from the presstitutes.

As inconceivable that it is to the establishment, the gloating and hopeful reports of Trump’s demise were premature.

Chris Christie Calls For Rand Paul to Face Stalinist Style Tribunal

I used to believe that the term “fascist pig” was a cliché and a bygone part of the hippie era lexicon but now it is apparent that Chris Christie is the modern personification of it. The Sopranos state Governor today floated the trial balloon that a sitting United States Senator – and political foe – be forced to stand before a government tribunal for actually defending the Constitution. Ironic that such a thing can be said less than 48 hours after Independence day but that is a contradiction that seems to have largely gone unnoticed by most here in the banana republic of Obamastan.

Still tipsy from the adoration showered on him at that weekend slumber party at Mitt Romney’s vacation home the bloated Christie went on MSNBC’s Morning Joe and called for Rand Paul to be brought up before Congress because he opposed the unconstitutional mass surveillance of millions of Americans. The surveillance or bulk phone metadata collection was ruled to be “illegal” by a federal appeals court but was recently renewed by Obama’s top secret surveillance court. Christie would fit in very nicely as one of the authoritarian apparatchik in a totalitarian state but this takes it to another level.

According to The Wall Street Journal in the story “Chris Christie: If U.S. Hit By Terror Attack, Haul Rand Paul Before Congress”:

Gov. Chris Christie on Monday escalated his criticism of Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul over his stance against the National Security Agency’s bulk collection of telephone call records, saying his rival for the Republican presidential nomination should be forced to testify before Congress if the U.S. suffers a terrorist attack.

On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program Monday morning, Mr. Christie said that Mr. Paul’s opposition to the NSA’s metadata program had made the U.S. “weaker and more vulnerable.”

“He should be in hearings in front of Congress if there’s another attack, not the director of the FBI or the director of the CIA,” said Mr. Christie, a former U.S. Attorney who launched his presidential campaign last week.

Mr. Christie also said that Mr. Paul’s fundraising off his opposition to the NSA program was “disgraceful.” Mr. Paul has frequently put up messages against “NSA spying” on his campaign website.

Mr. Christie has attacked Mr. Paul on the NSA repeatedly this year, at one point comparing him to Edward Snowden, the former NSA contractor whose large leak of secret agency documents touched off debate in Washington over the phone data program.

Mr. Paul has made his opposition to government surveillance one of his top political issues. Mr. Paul argues the surveillance invades personal privacy and is an affront to civil liberties. He was a vocal supporter of a bill that passed the Senate 67-32 last month that curbed the NSA’s bulk phone data collection program. President Barack Obama signed the bill into law.

A spokesman for Mr. Paul’s campaign didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on Monday.

Mr. Christie was set to appear on three national TV morning shows Monday.

The WSJ mentions Christie’s past gig as a U.S. Attorney but shouldn’t such officials be bound by a sworn oath to uphold the Constitution? Christie’s big triumph was the massively overhyped bust of a bunch of hapless Muslim morons labeled as the “Fort Dix Six” who were entrapped. The case was ludicrous from the start with the plot supposedly being that the losers would dress up as pizza delivery drivers and take on hundreds if not thousands of heavily armed soldiers on a highly secured military installation - you just can't make shit like that up or maybe, if you are Chris Christie - you can. 

The website The Intercept chronicles how Governor Jelly Doughnut, who was the prosecutor at the time relied on shoddy evidence and entrapment to get a national springboard for a gubernatorial run in the piece entitled "Christie's Conspiracy".

But back to Christie’s ranting about Paul being blamed for a “terrorist” attack which is such a grossly stupid and arrogant statement that it could have come flying out of the mustachioed pie hole of Joseph Stalin himself. But that is exactly who Chris Christie is, an incompetent, corrupt, bullying fascist who worships big government and seeks to use it as a bludgeon against his political enemies. This guy would make Obama look like a piker if he manages to get elected president which thank God is a really, really long shot.

We are really on the edge of crossing the Rubicon in America where a top presidential candidate  -who is practically being blown by the lamestream media - can get away with such insane threats and innuendo. Rand Paul would be treated like one of the poor schmucks who were rounded up by the NKVD, trotted out for a show trial before a kangaroo court and then sentenced to katorga in the gulags. That is what Chris Christie's vision of America is.

Chris Christie believes that political dissent should be outright criminalized, his strident defense of the USA PATRIOT Act and prior statements confirm it. Why the squealing porker isn’t ever called on his anti-American horseshit shows just how far down the rabbit hole that we have all been dragged by the rogue government since 9/11. While Christie has little chance of winning the GOP nomination he may make an alluring pick for Attorney General under a "Jeb!" regime.

Arriving on the scene like a charging RINO, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie officially waddled his way into an already bursting at the seams Republican presidential field. Christie’s belated entry has been a foregone conclusion ever since his campaign went live with the website on Saturday. The Garden State boss man made his announcement at his alma matter, Livingston High School where he worked to sell himself as a man of the people who vowed to put the shards of the shattered American dream back into place by working together to solve the nation’s problems.

USA Today is reporting that “Chris Christie officially launches White House bid”:

Christie was joined at Livingston High School by family, childhood friends and longtime supporters for the announcement, which leaned heavily on his family background and the community he grew up in. Two people spoke before Christie took the stage: A friend of his mother's and a former Christie classmate, both from Livingston.

"I've spent the last 13 years of my life, as U.S. attorney and governor of this state, fighting for fairness and justice and opportunity for the people of the state of New Jersey. That fight has not made me more weary. It has made me stronger, and I am now ready to fight for the people of the United States of America," Christie said.

He added that the nation needed to restore "strength and decision-making and authority back in the Oval Office," as he announced his candidacy for the GOP nomination.

Christie entered and exited the stage to music by Bon Jovi, one day after Jon Bon Jovi hosted and performed at a fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. The first song that played as the doors to the gym opened to the public was Bruce Springsteen's Glory Days, but songs from Christie's musical idol were absent from the event itself.

On the eve of his announcement, the governor's office announced a series of actions that would be looked upon favorably by core national constituencies for Republicans

He directed his attorney general to change state regulations to require firearm applications filed by victims of domestic violence or violent crimes to be considered on an expedited basis, within 14 days. And for a sixth time, he vetoed bills providing additional funding to family planning clinics and expanding Medicaid coverage for such services.

All fine and dandy but it is obvious pandering to the conservative base to defund abortion clinics and loosen gun restrictions but the main thing between Christie and the rest of the crowded field selling that shtick is that he is as phony as the day is long. The late, great political writer Hunter S. Thompson had a great quote for grifters like Chris Christie and it went like this:

“The main problem in any democracy is that crowd-pleasers are generally brainless swine who can go out on a stage & whup their supporters into an orgiastic frenzy—then go back to the office & sell every one of the poor bastards down the tube for a nickel apiece.”

Times have changed and guys like Christie would sell out the schmucks for a nickel a dozen these days. It’s hard to see how Porky Soprano could have any real credibility with conservatives who have been paying close attention ever since he was sliming around the Jersey Shore with Emperor Obama back in 2012 with Barry’s crank practically stuffed into his mouth. People have long memories and those same people are likely to recall that Christie’s Obama love fest probably put a hell of a ding in Mitt Romney’s hopes as did his shamelessly self-centered keynote speech at the Republican National Convention in Tampa.

The biggest laugh line from Christie’s speech today had to be that “Both parties have failed our country by refusing to work together”. I just love these con artists who run against the political establishment by seeking to fix things by putting themselves in charge of that same establishment. Besides, working together would be another word for “bipartisanship” which is code speak for “Fuck You!”. It was the rats working together that just guaranteed millions more lost American jobs by cramming Obamatrade down all of our throats. In layman’s terms it is horseshit and sensible voters should run away from anyone who dares to spout such balderdash as if they had the Ebola virus.

Christie’s “straight talk” vows are cribbed from the senile old bastard John McCain’s failed 2008 run and the infamous “Straight Talk Express”. He also waited a bit too long to try to foist himself off as one who speaks truth to power because that particular role has already been filled by Donald Trump who is gaining in popularity because unlike all of the rest of the poseurs, he can truly run as an outsider.

Christie is pathetic although what will likely be a very short run for the White House will be the source of much fodder for comedians who delight in telling fat jokes.
