Chris Christie Calls For Rand Paul to Face Stalinist Style Tribunal

I used to believe that the term “fascist pig” was a cliché and a bygone part of the hippie era lexicon but now it is apparent that Chris Christie is the modern personification of it. The Sopranos state Governor today floated the trial balloon that a sitting United States Senator – and political foe – be forced to stand before a government tribunal for actually defending the Constitution. Ironic that such a thing can be said less than 48 hours after Independence day but that is a contradiction that seems to have largely gone unnoticed by most here in the banana republic of Obamastan.

Still tipsy from the adoration showered on him at that weekend slumber party at Mitt Romney’s vacation home the bloated Christie went on MSNBC’s Morning Joe and called for Rand Paul to be brought up before Congress because he opposed the unconstitutional mass surveillance of millions of Americans. The surveillance or bulk phone metadata collection was ruled to be “illegal” by a federal appeals court but was recently renewed by Obama’s top secret surveillance court. Christie would fit in very nicely as one of the authoritarian apparatchik in a totalitarian state but this takes it to another level.

According to The Wall Street Journal in the story “Chris Christie: If U.S. Hit By Terror Attack, Haul Rand Paul Before Congress”:

Gov. Chris Christie on Monday escalated his criticism of Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul over his stance against the National Security Agency’s bulk collection of telephone call records, saying his rival for the Republican presidential nomination should be forced to testify before Congress if the U.S. suffers a terrorist attack.

On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program Monday morning, Mr. Christie said that Mr. Paul’s opposition to the NSA’s metadata program had made the U.S. “weaker and more vulnerable.”

“He should be in hearings in front of Congress if there’s another attack, not the director of the FBI or the director of the CIA,” said Mr. Christie, a former U.S. Attorney who launched his presidential campaign last week.

Mr. Christie also said that Mr. Paul’s fundraising off his opposition to the NSA program was “disgraceful.” Mr. Paul has frequently put up messages against “NSA spying” on his campaign website.

Mr. Christie has attacked Mr. Paul on the NSA repeatedly this year, at one point comparing him to Edward Snowden, the former NSA contractor whose large leak of secret agency documents touched off debate in Washington over the phone data program.

Mr. Paul has made his opposition to government surveillance one of his top political issues. Mr. Paul argues the surveillance invades personal privacy and is an affront to civil liberties. He was a vocal supporter of a bill that passed the Senate 67-32 last month that curbed the NSA’s bulk phone data collection program. President Barack Obama signed the bill into law.

A spokesman for Mr. Paul’s campaign didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on Monday.

Mr. Christie was set to appear on three national TV morning shows Monday.

The WSJ mentions Christie’s past gig as a U.S. Attorney but shouldn’t such officials be bound by a sworn oath to uphold the Constitution? Christie’s big triumph was the massively overhyped bust of a bunch of hapless Muslim morons labeled as the “Fort Dix Six” who were entrapped. The case was ludicrous from the start with the plot supposedly being that the losers would dress up as pizza delivery drivers and take on hundreds if not thousands of heavily armed soldiers on a highly secured military installation - you just can't make shit like that up or maybe, if you are Chris Christie - you can. 

The website The Intercept chronicles how Governor Jelly Doughnut, who was the prosecutor at the time relied on shoddy evidence and entrapment to get a national springboard for a gubernatorial run in the piece entitled "Christie's Conspiracy".

But back to Christie’s ranting about Paul being blamed for a “terrorist” attack which is such a grossly stupid and arrogant statement that it could have come flying out of the mustachioed pie hole of Joseph Stalin himself. But that is exactly who Chris Christie is, an incompetent, corrupt, bullying fascist who worships big government and seeks to use it as a bludgeon against his political enemies. This guy would make Obama look like a piker if he manages to get elected president which thank God is a really, really long shot.

We are really on the edge of crossing the Rubicon in America where a top presidential candidate  -who is practically being blown by the lamestream media - can get away with such insane threats and innuendo. Rand Paul would be treated like one of the poor schmucks who were rounded up by the NKVD, trotted out for a show trial before a kangaroo court and then sentenced to katorga in the gulags. That is what Chris Christie's vision of America is.

Chris Christie believes that political dissent should be outright criminalized, his strident defense of the USA PATRIOT Act and prior statements confirm it. Why the squealing porker isn’t ever called on his anti-American horseshit shows just how far down the rabbit hole that we have all been dragged by the rogue government since 9/11. While Christie has little chance of winning the GOP nomination he may make an alluring pick for Attorney General under a "Jeb!" regime.

Newspeak in America: Thug is Now a Racist Term

English writer Eric Arthur Blair who is more famous for his pseudonym George Orwell is often invoked as America continues to collapse from within. Orwell’s dire predictions of a totalitarian future dystopia as put forth in his masterpiece “1984” eerily foresaw the rise of a society in which no opposition to fascist big government was tolerated, citizens were turned into rats and snitches, war was perpetual and privacy was eradicated to the point of where “nothing was your own except the few cubic centimetres inside your skull”. Orwell’s novel also introduced the concept of “Newspeak” which was the intentional manipulation of the language to literally transform reality into what the state deemed to be acceptable which was in direct opposition to anything resembling freedom.

As anyone who is paying attention can clearly see in the Homeland of Obamastan circa 2015, the wars continue, the NSA and government favored corporations conduct mass surveillance on the population and the range of acceptable discourse shrinks daily. Then there is the perversion of language which combined with the ongoing process of the dumbing down of America is a potent one-two punch to whatever remains of our evaporating vestiges of liberty.

The transformation of language in America is often the result of the rise of the censorship called political correctness and is typically enforced by liberals who fancy themselves as being some sort of intellectual elite instead of the feckless drones that they really are. Their efforts only aid and abet the rulers of the fascist police state and their alarmingly successful attempts to slowly twist and morph the definition of “terrorism” to include all critics of the corrupt state. They work in tandem although the useful idiot liberals can’t seem to understand it.

The latest example of the perversion of the English language are the ludicrous and quickly spreading attempts to transform the word “thug” into a racist term and to render it taboo. This is particularly evident in the aftermath of the Baltimore riots when a pack of thugs and criminals exploited the Freddie Gray funeral to run amok. As disturbing as this latest outbreak of racially tinged malevolence has been, what is worse are the attempts to glom onto it by many to advance their own agendas. They are much like the travelers and parasites who leeched onto the XXXL carcass of bad seed Michael “Gentle Giant” Brown in Ferguson, Mo last year and manage to pop up in whatever city where the police are accused of using excessive force against young black men.

As CNN reports in the story “After Baltimore riots, some leaders slam 'thug' as the new n-word”:

A term used by President Barack Obama and Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake to characterize rioters has given new life to a debate over the word "thug."

"Of course it's not the right word, to call our children 'thugs,'" Baltimore City Councilman Carl Stokes told CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront." "These are children who have been set aside, marginalized, who have not been engaged by us. No, we don't have to call them thugs."

"Just call them n-----s. Just call them n-----s," he said. "No, we don't have to call them by names such as that."

The Rev. Jamal Bryant drew the same comparison Wednesday morning on CNN. The President and the mayor are wrong, he said. "These are not thugs, these are upset and frustrated children."

"It's amazing. You don't call six police officers who kill a man without probable cause 'thugs,' but children who are frustrated and don't have an outlet, you call them 'thugs.' 'Thugs' is the 21st century word for the n-word. And it is repulsive and it is offensive to every person who is a parent trying to raise children interpreting what's taking place in this hour."

When even dear leader is calling a spade a spade and a thug a thug then it just must be racism and we just can’t have the public getting any ideas rather that those dark-skinned hooligans in the streets are lawless marauders. As for the word “thug” if you look at the Merriam-Webster online dictionary here is the definition:

: a violent criminal

a brutal ruffian or assassin :  gangster, tough

There is nothing even remotely racial about it. In fact what the hell else can be said about the scum that took to the streets in Baltimore to ransack stores, destroy other people’s property and steal beer and toilet paper? They were thugs and there isn’t a damned thing that is racially offensive  in calling them such in the context of their actions. It is as clear as black and white.

Now that “thug” is on the verge of becoming a racist pejorative it shows the danger of the childish insistence of the refusal to use the word “nigger” in favor of the ubiquitous references to the “N word”. What the fuck is this, fucking third grade on a national level? When is enough enough? Not that I personally find the term “nigger” to be socially acceptable, no more than I do a gay man being called a “faggot”, however it is far more offensive to see the  ongoing bastardization of the English language by political correctness Nazis, slimy politicians, activists with an agenda and government stooges in the corrupt state-corporate media.

The hip hop culture that black youth are too often immersed in actually glorifies what can accurately be called “thug life” and why is it socially acceptable for many young blacks to regularly call themselves “niggers” or as is the hip slang “niggas”? This can be a career-killer, and have the scarlet letter of racism carved into the foreheads of white folks who don’t kowtow to political correctness and use the “N” word instead? The hypocrisy is boundless.

Always remember, Big Brother is watching you so watch what you say.

In the Belly of the Beast: Called For Jury Duty

This is a bit off the beaten track but since Easter Sunday is generally a pretty slow news day I thought that I’d write about it as a general observation on the judicial system. Believe it or not I am in my early fifties and had never once been called upon to do jury duty until just recently.  So on Thursday morning I headed over to my local courthouse, an opulent palace that was given to the forces of law enforcement courtesy of the taxpayers and prepared to suffer through my state enforced civic responsibility.

Now I can dig all of that stuff about how serving on a jury is the very lynchpin of our judicial system that we all have been indoctrinated to believe since grade school. In reality though, that system is crumbling by the day and with the most serious criminals occupying corporate boardrooms, statehouses, the U.S. Congress and the various agencies of the federal government it’s getting really tough to buy into any of that hogwash anymore. Kind of like the Easter Bunny, it’s a nice myth but at the end of the day it’s a fantasy.

So anyway, I rolled up well in advance of my 8:15 reporting time to beat the crowd and snag a decent seat while I waited. Now I don’t really have any need to visit the courthouse, the jail facility or any other building associated with the police state as I am a law-abiding citizen so it was a new experience for me. From the minute I got out of my car and locked the door I could hear something droning on from the direction of the building. Jesus Christ! I thought, they can’t possibly be playing rap music in front of the damned courthouse at 7:35 in the morning can they? But as I got closer and within audible range I soon recognized it as one of those warnings that are commonplace in our nation’s airports since the post 9/11 occupation by the national security state.  The primary reason why I don’t fly anymore – other than I just hate it – is that I resent being treated like a freaking criminal by the government TSA goons and anyone who has read my writings fully understands my contempt for the police state.

So with the booming electronic voice emanating from the loudspeakers as though it were the word of God himself, I proceeded towards the main entrance of the Criminal Justice Center. Once you have entered the citadel, the very first thing you have to do is put ALL of your shit in a tote to go through the X-ray machine. I did this with no problem, having read the instructions carefully and knowing what was and what was not taboo. I had planned on using the opportunity away from my regular day job to do some writing and had brought my laptop and a tablet to while away the time.  The security theater made me think of the Reichstag for some reason that I just can’t put my finger on.  I was now within the belly of the beast.

Standing just beyond the X-ray machine was a phalanx of huge cops, all standing at parade rest and glaring menacingly at all entrants to the building. While they were not clad in standard issue black Darth Vader gear it was pretty obvious that they were there to crack skulls if necessary. Some hipster dumbass in line two people in front of me nearly was pounded to a pulp for the grave security breach of attempting to enter the facility with an open water bottle (mine was in the briefcase with the seal unbroken per the instructions) but his cute young girlfriend intervened and rapidly led him out of the building. With the blood scent of the storm troopers already aroused I loudly exclaimed that “Good morning, I’m here for jury duty, could you please show me where I need to go?”. I was then treated with the utmost of respect and courtesy.

So I got into the jury pool gathering room which was huge and had theater seating and grabbed a spot at the very back, the standard location in any meeting room sought out by troublemakers like me. I settled into my seat, whipped out my tablet and started scanning the morning news for writing material. I was really, really hoping that I would not be called to go upstairs as my head was throbbing due to the high allergen count. This week the air quality index locally had the allergens hovering at around 11.8 – on a scale of 10 – so I definitely didn’t bring my A game. I was just hoping to be able to eke it out and if I did get called, make some sort of statement to the attorneys that would get them to jettison me to find a less ‘opinionated’ person.

Hey, we all have our biases and mine happen to be that I hate the state, especially the judicial system that serves as the main processing arm of the massive American for profit prison gulag. I also happen to believe that most of the people who end up on trial are scumbags who deserve to be there in the first place because they were stupid enough to engage in criminal behavior and got caught. I have no tolerance when it comes to the dregs of society and while it isn’t technically legal to just shoot the scumbags while they are in the act of committing their crimes they do need to be kept away from decent folks. This is a bit complicated in that there are the unlucky ones who are caught up by unjust sentencing laws but the real bad guys deserve zero mercy.

So then once everyone who received a summons is inside the room it’s time for the orientation. A huge video screen lights up and the song and dance begins about the dos and don’ts of serving on a jury. We are all lectured about how the greatest aspect of the U.S. judicial system is the constitutionally mandated guarantee of being able to be judged by a jury of your “peers”.  Like my “peers” are murderers, thugs, thieves, crackheads, rapists, con artists, child molesters and the sort of flotsam and jetsam that floats through the court system – give me a break. As a testament to the all-inclusive nature of the random selection process there was a guy sitting two rows in front of me with a shaved head and swastika tattoos. It looked like he may have wandered into the wrong room and should have been next door at the jail or in uniform down by the X ray machine.

There is a lecture by a stern looking fat black woman “judge” who has heard “all the excuses” so don’t even try to get out of it and then a short video of an actor dressed in a bailiff uniform who speaks in a Guido style New York though guy accent who further hammers it home. There was a good amount of sly French bashing including the name dropping of Alexis de Tocqueville as being very impressed with early American democracy even though it’s likely that the majority of the people in the room wouldn’t know him from Alexa Trump.

Finally, the Big Kahuna of all of the state judges comes onto the telescreen and delivers a lecture about our “civic responsibility” of serving as a juror. He blasts the negative attitude of people who are less than enthusiastic drones and scares the shit out of everyone in the room.  The supreme justice also delivers a warning on the use of cellphones and electronic devices and carries on about how the internet is not a reliable source of information so don’t believe everything on it. This is a typical attitude of one of the authoritarians who run the system because the internet and the chance at finding the truth are a threat like throwing holy water on Count Dracula to them.

Then there is a break as they get the daily docket – I researched it the night before on that evil damned internet and saw it was extremely light with the jury cases being a dude who was busted with crack and another being tried for a major traffic offense. Either of which I could have easily disqualified myself on (opposition to war on drugs and a good friend who was killed by a drunken driver ten years ago) so if I even got to the question stage I would have an out.

So after the break, we were all encouraged to use the jury lounge  – and here is the killer – FOX NEWS was playing on the television which stuck a trident-sized fork in the ass of all of their sanctimonious horseshit lecturing about not being biased. Then the master of ceremonies walks to his podium, announces that our break is over and starts calling everyone up who was to be paid for their service.

After all of them had received their money, the guy announces that in an unprecedented development that NONE of the judges had any cases ready and that we all were free to go. I could not possibly imagine that they may have been influenced because the courts were closed on Good Friday for Easter weekend.

The room which was 3/4 of the way filled with about 90 people erupted in raucous cheering and then we left, assured of having performed our civic duty.  I was home by 9:30 am but got the full day off with pay from my regular job. On Friday when I went in my boss asked me how it went I said that I didn’t get picked and that “we were out of there before 3 o’clock” and left it at that.

And the best part is that my original summons was for the Monday morning after the Denver Broncos vs. Indianapolis Colts playoff game and being a lifelong Bronco fan I changed it. In Florida we are allowed to do this one time only and I didn’t want to show up hung over after celebrating a win. The totally lethargic Broncos and their old and fading choker of a mercenary quarterback Peyton Manning ended up getting flogged 24-13 in a game that wasn’t in any way as close as the final score. I just picked April 2nd out of my ass as an arbitrary substitute date.

Is this a great fucking county or what?

I would however love to get seated on the jury of a huge media spectacle of a trial so I can cash in big time. Just look at all of the careers that got launched by the O.J. Simpson circus of a trial, I would love nothing more than to have the bookers for the Nancy Grace Show giving me a call.

Yawning at the Airport? You Just Might Be a Terrorist

The absurd and arbitrary nature of the decade and a half running phony war on terror gets some needed exposure in a report on the TSA checklist used to identify “suspicious” behavior.  The online magazine The Intercept has published a story on a confidential document that serves as a guideline for the government goons manning the Soviet style checkpoints in the nation’s airports. You could find yourself singled out for additional scrutiny for such things as yawning, clearing your throat or God forbid, complaining about the intrusive security procedures. Like there is nothing to bitch about regarding practices that are used to humiliate and condition law abiding Americans to bow down to uniformed big government thugs.

The website The Verge reports on the checklist in the story “The TSA thinks it can catch terrorists by watching people yawn”:

Next time you're making your way through airport security, you should probably avoid whistling. Definitely don't give anyone a "cold, penetrating stare." And go easy on the yawning. The Intercept has gotten a hold of the TSA's guide for spotting terrorists, and true to the complaints that've been lobbed at the agency for years, the list is incredibly generic; just about anyone boarding a flight could be labeled an evildoer in the eyes of the TSA.

Agents look for the indicators and tally up every traveler's total "suspicious behavior" score to decide if it's worth flagging down a law enforcement officer. Former TSA employees who spoke with The Intercept said that the SPOT (Screening of Passengers by Observation Techniques) sheet is catch-all by design and gives the agency freedom to finger anyone as a potential threat to passenger safety. "Taxpayer dollars would be better spent funding real police at TSA checkpoints," a former manager said.

This is exactly the type of thing that happens in a society headed from freedom to fascism and no one dared to complain about it back when it still could have been stopped. The whole TSA program was justified by selling the public on being afraid in the aftermath of 9/11 and morphed into what is essentially a trial program for the national imposition of a police state. It didn’t take long before helpless travelers were forced to take off their shoes and made to walk upon a carpet of the foot fungus of others, old women were stripped of their medical diapers and children were felt up by leering perverts who operated with the full authority of the federal government. For those who remember the ‘old days’, the TSA embodies something that was never supposed to exist in America.

Some of the other things that are scrutinized are “arriving late for flight”, “strong body odor”, “widely open staring eyes”, appearing to be “confused or disoriented”, “rubbing or wringing of hands”, "bag does not suit the individuals appearance" and “trembling”.  None of these can be the results of travel fatigue, missed connections, normal behavior or general incompetence of the airlines – but of course I am being sarcastic here. The unspoken objective is to turn the definition of "terrorist" into something as vague as humanly possible so as to apply it against anyone, particularly those critical of the government.

The full 92 point TSA screening checklist document can be found here. Upon reading it I suspect that anyone who is rational will concur with the unnamed TSA Behavior Detection Office Manager quoted in the Intercept story that it is “complete bullshit”.

Congress just had a chance to defund and dismantle this Homeland Security monstrosity too and could have done so until the Republican “leadership” caved in to Emperor Obama and his fearmongers in the media. Now it will just keep growing until the opportunity presents itself for the government to start putting it’s Gestapo into stadiums, arenas and shopping malls across the fruited plain.

Marco Rubio Calls for Permanent USA PATRIOT Act

The ambitious and cunning Florida Senator Marco Rubio is going to hang his 2016 long shot presidential hopes on the National Security State. When you have nothing to sell in post 9/11 America you can always peddle fear and it always works. Rubio came out in favor of making the USA PATRIOT Act permanent in a FOX News oped piece last month but is being challenged by those who are concerned over our ongoing loss of civil liberties. One prominent critic of Rubio's terrorism gambit is the conservative organization Freedom Works that was a big backer of the Tea Party movement.

While Freedom Works did give Little Ricky credit for some of his more positive attributes they drew a line at the young stud's support for a permanent surveillance state. According to the organization's website:

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) is one of the best in the upper chamber when it comes to budget and spending issues, earning high marks in 2013 and 2014 on FreedomWorks' congressional scorecard. He's also expanding the reach of the Republican Party with his youthfulness and pop culture savvy.

The Florida Republican has, however, been among the most vocal defenders of the National Security Agency and the surveillance state. In an op-ed published on Wednesday at FoxNews.com, Rubio, invoking 9/11 and recent activities of the Islamic State, called on his colleagues on Capitol Hill to permanently extend Section 215 of the PATRIOT Act, one of the law's most controversial provisions.

"This year, a new Republican majority in both houses of Congress will have to extend current authorities under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, and I urge my colleagues to consider a permanent extension of the counterterrorism tools our intelligence community relies on to keep the American people safe."

Section 215 of the USA PATRIOT Act amended the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to make it easier for intelligence and federal law enforcement agencies to access third-party records related to investigations in suspected terrorist activity. This provision, though, has been used by the NSA as the legal justification to spy on Americans through the bulk collection of phone metadata. In the NSA's view, or so it seems, every American is a suspected terrorist.

Freedom Works has been vilified by Democrats as just another front for the evil Koch Brothers who have effectively become bogeymen as well as drivers of liberal fundraising campaigns. The Koch connection to Freedom Works has always been nebulous at best but any organization that is calling out supporters of the PATRIOT Act is working in the best interests of America. This abomination was rammed through Congress in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks and despite the original sunset provisions continues to be renewed. Rubio, like the others who have suckled high off the teat of the bloated Global War on Terror money machine never hesitate to launch into demagoguery of the worst type to serve their own self-interests rather than honor the U.S. Constitution.

Senator Rubio is a desperate man so expect to see more of this type of crap coming out of his campaign media operation going forward. He also has close ties to the McCain-Graham-Ayotte Axis of fascist big government and his Hispanic identity makes him a potential vice presidential pick. While there are really are truly very bad people out there who really do hate us all,  guys like Rubio are acting as their defacto agents when it comes to destroying this once great country from within. I can't believe that anyone would have a problem with the feds conducting their surveillance of the "bad guys" but there needs to be necessary protections for law-abiding Americans and they really do not exist at this point.

It is also good to see that at least a few principled members of Congress are calling out Rubio over his obviously politically motivated support of domestic repression. Michigan Congressman Justin Amash has also blasted Florida's junior Senator as reported by the libertarian website Reason online:

Rep. Justin Amash (R–Mich.) threw some shade at Sen. Marco Rubio (R–Fla.) today over the latter's support for permanently reauthorizing the PATRIOT Act.

The congressman was asked during a panel at the 2015 International Students for Liberty Conference, happening now in Washington, D.C., how he felt about the idea that Congress should "rubberstamp" reauthorization of the controversial law. Amash responded: "I think it's embarrassing to say things like that. It reflects a lack of awareness of what the American people think and what the Constitution says. And if [Rubio] thinks that that is the future of the Republican Party, he is very wrong."

Amash said the GOP's job is to stand for liberty, protect people's rights, and curb corporate welfare, adding, "I think we have a great group of people who are pushing the country in the right direction. And we've got some people like Sen. Rubio who want to take us backward, and move the party in the wrong direction, and make it into a very small party."

You have to hand it to guys like Justin Amash and organizations like Freedom Works, at least they are trying to do something about our increasingly dwindling freedoms unlike the Democrat and Republican establishments. To this day there has NEVER been a serious debate about how exactly to balance off the trading of liberty for security in the new American century and the technological age. As long as there are charlatans like Marco Rubio trafficking in the politics of fear there never will be one either.

Not that I am throwing in with the Koch Brothers who are doing their damned level best to buy the entire system but were the system not so completely corrupted already it would not be up for sale.
