Lunatic Senator John McCain Goes Batshit Over Ukraine Peace Talks

A last ditch effort by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande to try to negotiate a cease fire in civil war torn Ukraine has sent Senator John McCain into orbit. After he and his butt-buddy, South Carolina Senator and possible presidential candidate Lindsey Graham had practically sealed the deal for a massive transfer of U.S. military weaponry to Kiev, Frau Merkel has dared to throw a monkey wrench into things. The two European leaders traveled to Moscow to meet with the hated Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to try to prevent what could be the beginning of World War III. Granted that Putin is a world class prick but when it comes to a pathological bloodlust and a burning white hot contempt for democracy, Senator McCain is right up there with him. The Ukraine situation is deteriorating badly after the still sketchy overthrow of sitting president Viktor Yanukovych sent the country spinning into sectarian chaos last year. 

Despite Emperor Obama and his moronic goon of a Secretary of State John Kerry’s best efforts to impose economic sanctions on Russia, Ukraine continues to be a war zone. Now the insane warmongers like McCain are on the cusp of sending lethal weaponry to Kiev which is only going to ignite an already dangerous situation. In case none of the best and the brightest geniuses who are running U.S. foreign policy these days have noticed, Russia is a nuclear power with thousands of long-range missiles, many of them ICBMs. This isn’t Iraq or Afghanistan and it is lunacy to escalate the situation in such a reckless manner.

Merkel understands this - Germany and Russia have a rather bloody history when it comes to global conflagrations - but the peace talks are destined for failure thanks to the likes of McCain and Graham. The dynamic duo are always afforded an inordinate amount of national media attention as they bray for the children of American mothers to be fed into the meat-grinder for the sake of higher profits for the arms merchants that they really work for.

As reported by Reuters in the story "Merkel defends Ukraine arms stance in face of U.S. criticism":

U.S. senators Lyndsey Graham and John McCain, both Republican hawks, were withering in their criticism of the German stance, which is supported by other big European countries like France.

"At the end of the day, to our European friends, this is not working," Graham said of Merkel's diplomatic efforts. "You can go to Moscow until you turn blue in the face. Stand up to what is clearly a lie and a danger."

McCain added: "The Ukrainians are being slaughtered and we're sending them blankets and meals. Blankets don't do well against Russian tanks."

Russia's annexation of the Crimean peninsula in March last year and evidence that it is supporting separatist forces in the east of the country, which the Kremlin denies, have driven Moscow's relations with the West to a post-Cold War low.

The EU and United States have imposed a series of sanctions against Moscow that have contributed to a sharp downturn in the Russian economy.

Merkel and her allies in Europe want to continue to punish Russia by tightening the economic screws. Obama faces pressure from members of Congress to do more.

In an emotional plea for support in Munich, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko listed the number of troops and civilians that had been killed since the crisis started and held up red passports of Russian soldiers he said had been found fighting in Ukraine.

The American media never once questions any of the claims of the corrupt oligarch Petro Poroshenko aka "The Chocolate King" by asking for proof when he whips out stage props like a few passports that he claims belonged to Russkie invaders. Hell, if every report of Russian tank columns entering Ukraine over the past year are indeed the truth then why doesn’t the flag of the Russian Federation currently fly from all government buildings in Kiev? 

Americans should be very careful to not swallow the poison bait of longtime con men like McCain and his ilk, especially when considering the far-reaching consequences of sending American weaponry and eventually troops to within a few hundred miles of Russia’s borders.

Not that I am a big fan of Putin, a man who earned the eternal hatred of Obama and the establishment after he punked them by thwarting their war plans on Syria, but our own “leaders” are not exactly the paragons of morality that they revel in presenting themselves as. They are just better at pretending not to be liars, killers, cheats and enemies of democracy than Putin is. If McCain wants war so badly someone should just give the old bastard a rifle along with a one way ticket to Donetsk.

Foolish Obama About to Start World War III

The 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War I is this week and at the rate that the dangerous and incompetent narcissist in chief is going we may just celebrate with a grand fireworks show that will usher in World War III. Let's face it, the United States has become addicted to war, outside of the financial fraud industry that was abetted by Obama with the huge Wall Street bailout and subsequent failure to prosecute any of those banksters responsible for wrecking the economy war is always the answer and in an election year with feckless Democrats terrified of being called "chicken" we now stand at the brink of historic catastrophe.

The root of Obama's derangement, as to our current national plight is his insane obsession with sticking it to the now fully demonized Russian leader Vladimir Putin over those twin humiliations. The thin-skinned one has never quite gotten over Russia's role in sparing NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden from torture, a show trial reminiscent of those staged by Stalin and then more torture and his intervention to prevent a massive military strike on Syria late last summer that was based on the still unproven responsibility for the gassing of civilians at Ghouta -it is most likely that the jihadist rebels that Obama's regime was backing did it as a false flag to lure the US into a war. Obama's supreme arrogance and thin-skinned inability to act the part of the putative leader of the free world has set us all on a blind and deadly rush to the precipice of the abyss.

The thing is going to erupt in a big way over Ukraine, that splendid little coup d'etat that went terribly wrong - which things have a tendency to do if run by idiots like Obama's dream team over at the State Department - and deprived the rapacious crony capitalist corporations who were salivating at divvying up the spoils of "the breadbasket of the world".  The early stages of what now is on track to become the mother of all foreign policy debacles with the US establishment capitalizing on the very suspicious and serendipitous shooting down of that Malaysian Airlines jet to send in US military advisers to prop up the ragtag forces of the puppet state of Kiev that the deranged Chocolate King aka Petro Poroshenko has unleashed upon federalist rebels and civilians in the east. The downing of MH17 presents a perfect opportunity for the US-EU-NATO Axis of Aggression to pacify the east and further encircle Russia in clear violation of the agreement struck by American leaders when the Soviet Union broke up. Obama's juvenile insistence at holding billions of people hostage in his ongoing dick-measuring contest with Putin is about to blow up big time because there is only so much that Russia is going to take before the US created new Cold War goes hot.

One of the greatest problems in America today - other than the acceptance of perpetual war and the glorification of an increasingly militarized police presence - is the greed and it is particularly evident in Ukraine where there was already intensive preparation for another of those color revolutions to throw open the door to US resource plunder and IMF enforced austerity. The conditions were already there for Obama and the stammering ass that is John Kerry to avenge their embarrassing punking by Putin. The conditions were always ripe for exploitation and the expansion into yet another of this once great country's illegal post WW II wars of aggression and conquest. As I wrote a few months ago in a piece entitled "Making Ukraine Safe for US Corporate Vultures";

The dirty little secret of the entire Ukraine debacle is that prior to the orchestrated putsch that installed the austerity puppet government the country had already been sliced, diced and carved into bite sized pieces to be fed to the rapacious, insatiable corporate vultures that comprise the real power behind the throne. Less known than Victoria Nuland’s intercepted phone call where she and US Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt discussed their intent to circumvent the EU to install former central banker “Yats” is an appearance that she made at the National Press Club in Washington to advise the circling corporate vultures that the US “We have invested more than 5 billion dollars to help Ukraine to achieve these and other goals ” – this is taxpayer money that sure could be used right here at home given the dismal job market and gutting of essential and social service programs to finance the warfare state and the expansion of the corporate empire. Behind Nuland on the dais was a prominently featured logo for oil giant Chevron, which has a $10 billion shale oil deal with Ukraine on the line, it is interesting in that the $10 billion is exactly the same figure that the occupying puppet government was bemoaning as being lost by the Russian annexation of Crimea - after that referendum that won't be recognized by the hypocritical US-EU-NATO schemers. The violence is coming, anyone with a working knowledge of US history can see that and soon the jackals, mercs, neo-Nazis and the military will soon be fully engaging in "anti-terrorist" operations. But you won’t hear about any of this on ABC’s This Week or any of those other beltway circle jerks advertised as news shows every Sunday morning.

Excerpt: Despite the turmoil within Ukrainian politics after Yanukovych rejected a major trade deal with the European Union just seven weeks earlier, Cargill was confident enough about the future to fork over $200 million to buy a stake in Ukraine’s UkrLandFarming. According to Financial Times, UkrLandFarming is the world’s eighth-largest land cultivator and second biggest egg producer. And those aren’t the only eggs in Cargill’s increasingly-ample basket.

On Dec. 13, Cargill announced the purchase of a stake in a Black Sea port. Cargill’s port at Novorossiysk — to the east of Russia’s strategically significant and historically important Crimean naval base — gives them a major entry-point to Russian markets and adds them to the list of Big Ag companies investing in ports around the Black Sea, both in Russia and Ukraine.

Both stories touch on the “Deep State” of interlocking interests, political fixers and policymakers steering U.S. policy into a long-desired collision with Russia. Ultimately, it’s about opening the door to Ukraine’s resources for well-connected corporations.

It is disaster capitalism write large, Naomi Klein wrote about this in her book “The Shock Doctrine” and has a new piece out at the Guardian entitled "Why US fracking companies are licking their lips over Ukraine" describing how the wave of “fracking” is about to reach a crescendo with the patriotic rallying cry of defeating Putin as the bogus corporate mantra. The moneyed special interests are swarming all over every aspect of the Ukraine situation looking to cash in, Bloomberg.com’s recent article “Ukranian Crisis Not Wasted by Washington Lobbyists” is also a must read.

Then there is that disgusting appointment of the son of sitting Vice President Joe Biden to the board of the largest gas company in Ukraine, Burisma Holdings who has been using the chaos in the aftermath of the downing of MH17 to set up extraction operations. The next week will be critical as the US now is no longer hiding the aiding and abetting of an illicit government in Kiev that has from the day that democratically elected leader Viktor Yanokovych with the help of overt fascists and neo-Nazis. The insertion of military advisers and the assistance of targeting rebel rocket sites may be something that even Putin may not be able to swallow after months of failed attempts to bait him into sending the Russian military into Ukraine and triggering what would be an immediate NATO response.

This is what happens when arsonists are allowed to play with matches and Obama is the biggest firebug of them all.

Obama's Willing Executioners

With Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netenyahu once again bombing Gaza back to the stone age and the ongoing ISIS related fighting in Iraq the situation in Ukraine has slipped through the cracks. Not that the US state-corporate media has bothered to tell the truth about the Obama backed coup government in Kiev and it's neo-Nazi muscle anyway but Americans are being hoodwinked into lining up behind what is increasingly becoming a campaign of the use of the military against civilians as well as ethnic cleansing operations. In the myriad of foreign policy disasters under the Obama regime the situation in Ukraine is by far the worst as not only was it completely unnecessary - the neocons at the State Department, led by Hillary Clinton leftovers like former Dick Cheney advisor Victoria "Fuck the EU" Nuland as well as veteran provocateurs like Senator John McCain decided to stick it to Russian leader Vladimir Putin while he was occupied with the Sochi Winter Olympics.

What was a legitimate protest movement against the corrupt oligarch leader in Kiev, Viktor Yanukovych was hijacked by goons including the extremist political parties Right Sektor and Svoboda (McCain's neo-Nazi pals) who introduced violence into the Euromaiden protests which after much US support including the ever loathsome Nuland passing out cookies in a public relations appearance toppled the sitting leader, chasing him from the country in fear for his life. A still mysterious sniper attack ignited the final push against Yanukovych (an intercepted phone call between the EU's Catherine Ashton and the Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet sites medical information that the shots that killed protesters and police came from the same direction) and Nuland's (Mrs. Robert Kagan) hand-picked successor, Arseniy “Yats” Yatsenyuk and a junta government was installed. "Yats" and his illegitimately installed government were clumsy at public relations and the US-EU-NATO Axis of Aggression got caught with their pants down when the prize of the hostile takeover, Crimea along with Russia's Black Sea naval base was lost after Crimeans voted to extend a big middle finger to the junta in Kiev and rejoin Russia. Similar unrest followed in the east of what is a divided country, half of which shares and identity with Russia and the memories of the bad old days of World War II and the killing spree carried out by Nazi collaborators is well known.

East Ukraine naturally rebelled after the US backed junta immediately decreed that Russian language was banned and things just went downward from there. Rather than get into a long rehashing of the past six months suffice it to say that the breakaway of the east into a separate republic was never going to be tolerated ether from the fascist and neo-Nazi goons in the new government nor by the corporate and global finance backers of the overthrown. From Nuland's own lips the US had sunk around $5 billion in American taxpayer dollars into opening up Ukraine to IMF austerity programs and corporate exploitation and the delivery of the merchandise minus that huge chunk that is Crimea was already intolerable, there was no way that the east was going to be lost as well even if those who did not want to be absorbed into the rapacious, bloodsucking maw of the resource plundering west had to be killed.

The commencement of "anti-terrorist operations" was announced by the occupying government shortly after being visited by CIA Director John Brennan and Vice President Joe Biden (whose son scored a gig with Ukraine's largest gas company shortly after daddy left) and soon reports of killings, such as the atrocity at the Odessa trade union building back in may began to trickle in although largely ignored by the US media and sugar-coated in the UK. The trade union incident was particularly horrific in that the victims weren't legitimate military targets (if such a thing exists) and were tortured and murdered by extremist hordes before the building itself was set ablaze as the crowd outside changed "burn Colorado burn" - a reference to striped pro-Russian commemorative ribbons derisively sneered upon by right-wing Ukies as the Colorado potato beetle . There was no truthful acknowledgement of this from the Obama regime and the pocket press other than to resort to their standard lies of blaming everything on Putin and that the slaughter in Odessa was some sort of Russian false flag and not the explosion of deep-seated Nazi sentimentality.

The Odessa incident is when the Rubicon was crossed and it was assured that the anti-fascist, anti-austerity uprising in the east would not given in lest they meet the same fate. The history of Nazi slaughter and barbarity in Ukraine is well understood by the people there and when influential members of the US backed regime as well as parts of the citizenry openly embrace the infamous Nazi collaborator Stephan Bandera, a fiendish monster if there ever were one. The USA! USA! USA! has never had too many reservations about backing extremist elements to further the interests of American corporations and imperial expansion and this is particularly so with the Nazis, a long and sordid history exists and can be read about in Christopher Simpson's "Blowback" which has just recently come back into print as an e-book, a part of the new Forbidden Bookshelf series. Most Americans, particularly those weaned on the always triumphal WW II movies, television series, books and video games have no inkling that the extablishment not only danced with Nazis but fornicated with them after war, assimilating many into the intelligence apparatus and science fields where they could put their knowledge once used to further Hitler's dreams of conquest to use for good old Uncle Scam.

But I digress..

The initial coup regime was given a face lift with the bogus election of western puppet Petro Poroshenko aka The Chocolate King who immediately escalated the "anti-terrorist operations" in the east and jacked up the rhetoric, even vowing to take back Crimea. The bloodshed has increased and any killing of Kiev backed military personnel (a thing that occasionally occurs in war zones)  is threatened by Porky. After last week's pulverizing of a unit in a rebel rocket barrage the  puppet leader, increasingly sounding like Hitler vowed that “For every life of our servicemen, the rebels will pay with tens and hundreds of their own” - Lidice anyone? The death toll is about to explode and Ukrainian bosses have promised "a nasty surprise" to anti-Kiev holdouts, one can only shudder at what this may be but the vengeance will be severe. And the US regime just continues to support these maniacs.

I always read the great work of Robert Parry at Consortium News, he has provided some of the best reporting on Ukriane available and I excerpt from his recent piece "Itching for a Genocide":

Western Ukraine’s “anti-terrorist operation” against rebels in Eastern Ukraine has the makings of what could degenerate from scattered atrocities to ethnic cleansing to genocide. It already is a nasty war to suppress an ethnic minority through the use of military force, complete with references to the targeted population as insects and animals.

Traditionally, the U.S. government protests such violence and even intervenes militarily to stop it, such as the cases of Kosovo in the 1990s and Libya in 2011. In the Kosovo case, the U.S. government supported the arrest and trial of Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic on war crimes charges and later backed Kosovo’s outright secession from Serbia. In the Libyan case, a U.S.-directed bombing campaign helped overthrow Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi who was then captured and murdered.

But the Obama administration, especially the U.S. State Department, is gung-ho in favor of Western Ukraine’s military assault on Eastern Ukraine where many ethnic Russians objected to the overthrow of elected President Viktor Yanukovych in a violent Feb. 22 coup. Yanukovych came from the East, which was also his political base.

Despite the disturbing circumstances surrounding the coup, including the role of neo-Nazi militias in forcing Yanukovych and his officials to flee for their lives, the U.S. State Department immediately embraced the new authorities as “legitimate.” The mainstream U.S. news media also clambered onboard the pro-coup bandwagon.

Over the ensuing months, both the State Department and the U.S. press corps have consistently presented a one-sided narrative that portrayed the coup makers as white-hatted “pro-democracy” protesters and denounced anyone opposed to the coup as black-hatted supporters of “Russian aggression.”

The key role of neo-Nazi “brown shirts” was whited out of the official U.S. picture despite the fact that the interim regime gave these far-right ultranationalists – admirers of Nazi collaborator Stepan Bandera – at least four ministries, including national security, in recognition of their crucial contribution in overthrowing Yanukovych.

However, the propaganda role of the State Department and the mainstream U.S. press is now taking on a darker coloration as the Kiev regime vows to crush the ethnic Russian resistance in Eastern Ukraine, raising the prospect of widespread civilian deaths, ethnic cleansing and even the possibility of genocide.

Obama has always been open as to his admiration for Ronald Reagan and now just like the Gipper he has his very own death squads prowling Ukraine and coordinating with the military. In a recent post at the progressive website OpEd News by George Eliason, an American living in Ukraine the writer states:

On the first day of the 'liberation' 116 people between 25-40 were killed without charge or trial. The executions are still going on in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. Witnesses say one man was strapped to an APC by his feet and dragged, then thrown into a car and taken away. Crews with dogs search the apartments, and without even asking any questions shoot people in front of their families. One person that escaped reported seeing a six year old he knew nailed to a sign post, as the soldier laughing. The father ran out of the building and was shot as he begged for his child's life. Another child, just 3 years old was crucified on a bulletin board by Kiev Bandera and his mother was forced to watch. The mother was then dragged around by a tank. The woman was the wife of a militia member.

 Residents of Slavyansk are being forced to prove their loyalty to the government. To do this they provide information on their "former" family and friends that supported the militia, including phone, social media, addresses, and photos. One woman in Slovyansk, in a bid to prove her loyalty to the junta, murdered her own husband. Corpses lie uncollected in the streets, apartments, and houses. Survivors are being processed through 'filtration' (i.e., concentration) camps, according to people who escaped the 'liberation' of Slovyansk.

 Confirmation of this level of atrocity comes from a fighter with Kiev's Donbass battalion: Oleg Dube (Oak). In a cleansing operation in Nikolaevka he wrote on his Facebook page that there were only civilians and no militia in the town. The battalion cleansed the town by throwing grenades into the houses and shooting anything that moved. Dube claims to have watched unarmed residents shot down in the street. According to him he complained to hiscommander Simon Semenchenko. His commander had him arrested and taken to their base in Donetsk.(Semenchenko is currently involved in an organ trafficking investigation involving junta leaders.)

This is gruesome if true, particularly the part about the crucifixion of the small child to a bulletin board, it may be just ugly disinformation but then again, considering the Nazi worship of the militias operating in the east - Obama's neo-Nazi militias - he now owns them - such atrocities can't easily be dismissed. The story of this latest abominable outburst of cruelty also appeared at the website The Vineyard of the Saker. 

I am increasingly beginning to agree that Obama is in the long run going to prove to be far worse than Bush, even in all of the bloody atrocities unleashed in Iraq by the Shock and Awe attack at least Dubya never threw in with Nazis. 

A Pall of Shame on America as Neocon Cookie Crumbles in Ukraine

You just had to know that the neocons weren't going to go quietly into the good night after Sunday's overwhelming vote in East Ukraine. Anti-fascist, anti-austerity citizens turned out in droves to send a message to the illegitimately installed puppet regime in Kiev that rule by foreign backed fascist and neo-Nazi goons is unacceptable. What was truly remarkable as well as being the utmost of irony is that the professional regime changers - whose enduring presence within the domestic corridors of power have eaten away at the very foundations of American democracy like a colony of Formosan termites -accidentally managed to bring real "democracy" to Ukraine after usurping it in February. Now in their typical keening outrage they are apoplectic that their version was rejected by the actual people on the ground who would be the ones having to live in it.

The ballyhooed spreading of western "democracy" - which when applied on foreign soil always amounts to something more akin to the spreading of fresh manure - always serves as the rallying cry for the neoconservative chickenhawks as they pursue the holy grail of global hegemony at the point of a gun. In the true vision of the founding fathers one would think that Sunday's referendum would have been hailed as a proud moment when America actually practiced what she preached by seeing those who are oppressed rising up at the ballot box to exercise their God given right of self-determination. Instead, they have managed to even further inflame the derangement of the neocons and are treated like ants with the audacity to try to avoid being stomped by the big red, white and blue jackboot of Uncle Scam.

Immediately erupting forth from the sewer of criminality and lies over at Foggy Bottom that serves as headquarters for the bumbling Skull and Bones alum John Kerry, a buffoon of the highest order as well as the ever crass Victoria "f*ck the EU" Nuland was a braying of childish outrage, whining, lies and cheap propaganda that is the hallmark of sore losers. The State Department rapidly issued an official "press release" screed calling out the anti-fascist referendum as illegitimate. There was of course no mention of the illegally installed "Yats" regime being the true source of illegitimacy but that can be expected from an institution that has come to oppose anything that even remotely represents morality and traditional American values. The official diatribe is excerpted here:

As the United States has said, the referenda being planned for May 11 in portions of eastern Ukraine by armed separatist groups are illegal under Ukrainian law and are an attempt to create further division and disorder. If these referenda go forward, they will violate international law and the territorial integrity of Ukraine. The United States will not recognize the results of these illegal referenda.

In addition, we are disappointed that the Russian government has not used its influence to forestall these referenda since President Putin's suggestion on May 7 that they be postponed, when he also claimed that Russian forces were pulling back from the Ukrainian border.

Unfortunately, we still see no Russian military movement away from the border, and today Kremlin-backed social media and news stations encouraged residents of eastern Ukraine to vote tomorrow, one even offering instructions for polling stations in Moscow. Russian state media also continue to strongly back the referenda with no mention of Putin's call for postponement.

The focus of the international community must now be on supporting the Ukrainian government's consistent efforts to hold a presidential election on May 25. International observers note that preparations for these elections are proceeding apace and in accordance with international standards, which will allow all Ukrainian people a voice in the future of their country. According to recent independent polls, a substantial majority of Ukrainians intend to vote on May 25. Any efforts to disrupt this democratic process will be seen clearly for what they are, attempts to deny the rights of Ukraine's citizens to express their political will freely.

As President Obama and Chancellor Merkel stated on May 2, the Russian leadership must know that if it continues to destabilize eastern Ukraine and disrupt this month's presidential election, we will move quickly to impose greater costs on Russia.

The Russian government can still choose to implement its Geneva commitments, as well as follow through on President Putin's statement of May 7. We call on them to do so.

This is totally laughable in that the now flogged to the brink of death fake devil Putin has once again been formally warned not to "disrupt" the upcoming presidential "election" which has always been a farce and a rigged game staged strictly for the benefit of The Empire. When you are choosing between such luminaries as the "The Chocolate King" and the "Gas Princess"you are pretty well fucked. Ukraine gets it but a similar concept just doesn't seem to resonate in a land where our own fine and vaunted choices come November 2016 will in all probability be named Clinton and Bush. The Ukrainian people are not stupid enough to just sit back and get it rammed up their asses by two corrupt oligarchs working for the same interests like the sheep here in the land of the free and the home of the brave (ha ha ha - sardonic laughter). That official US State Department statement, given the quality of the lunatics running the asylum under the 'leadership' of Kerry might as well be used as kitty litter box liner.

Then there is the missing airplane network that is CNN dutifully parroting the neocon propaganda as is typical with lurid tales of voter fraud at the polls. One would think that after being humiliated over having aired that embarrassing graphic showing that the geographic location of East Ukraine was in Pakistan that they would just stick to the panty-sniffing celebrity scandals and other tawdry sleaze like milking the suffering of family members of MH370. But hey - it is America's NUMBER ONE name in news and as such serves as a testament to the triumph of the willfully ignorant.

It is a sign of these sick and bizarre times in which the Obama regime and the state-corporate media continue to peddle their lies that according to a poll conducted by political scientists that "The less Americans know about Ukraine's location, the more they want U.S. to intervene"- you just can't make stuff like this up. Then there is the aforementioned CNN map fiasco that erroneously showed the location of Ukraine in Pakistan as exhibit A in the gallery of American dumbassery. Such a silly blunder would normally result in least some domestic ridicule but at CNN it goes with the territory. So far has the media in this country descended into the morass of mental mediocrity that is the new normal for the American mind. It is as though we are in the early stages of becoming the society that was the subject of Mike Judge's cult classic comedy film Idiocracy.

The plot for Idiocracy features a US Army dim bulb named Joe Bauers, a man alleged to be of average intelligence as well a prostitute named Rita who are the subjects of a secret US military hibernation experiment of what was to be of limited duration. Things naturally go awry when the officer in charge is ensnared by a sex scandal bringing shame and a base closure along with a much longer nap for Joe and Rita who sleep until they are freed from their test pods during the great garbage avalanche of 2505. They wake up to find a world that is totally FUBAR, the infrastructure is crumbling and looks as though it were designed by idiots (or contracted out to politically connected cronies under the guise of privatization), the commercialization of American society has accelerated with corporate logos everywhere and characters that have been named after fast food items and other products like Dr. Lexus and Beef Supreme. I actually know people who name their pets after corporate brands so it isn't a reach to expect that actual human babies are far behind.

The populace speaks in crude tongues, hurl insults and pejoratives at everything and everyone and berate Joe for the way he talks because in the future even speaking in the current dumbed-down lingo sounds makes one sound like one of the eggheads that the right-wing cultural populists have made hay out of for decades. It is the ultimate victory of Sarah Palin style anti-intellectualism. as the entire population has become twentieth generation white trash who in a gross parody of reverse American eugenics have outbred those with any intelligence or discretion like practicing birth control. The opening few minutes that show how it happened are classic as they are scary with the educated putting off reproduction while the rednecks multiply like rabbits. This is particularly so in the present tense down in Dixie behind the cornbread curtain which is an always fertile hunting ground for Koch Brothers front groups that rely on race-baiting and religious nonsense to whip up the rabble and need the help of those with limited intelligence to pull if off.

But I digress...

Centuries of consumerism and way too much television have reduced the citizenry to moronic zombies and the greatest advances in technology are huge multi-screened HDTVs that allow for a number of reality trash programs to be shown simultaneously while the viewer is ensconced upon a huge plush chair that doubles as a toilet where one can enjoy the cultural delights of fare the likes of "Ass", "Ow! My Balls" and the "Masturbation Channel", three examples of the evolution of programming like American Idol, Dancing With the Stars and Duck Dynasty. You don't need a time machine to witness the degradation from the explosion of potty humor as entertainment that have made even our 2014 society shallower and dumber. In Idiocracy corporations like Starbucks offer sexual favors on their menu next to the latte and the automated Carl's Jr. order system spews insults and cheats customers. The scene that takes place at St. God's Memorial Hospital with the health care system being reduced to a combination fast food joint/casino is down and out classic for all of those whose lives are devoted to bitching about Obamacare.

The society that Joe finds himself in is mean, greedy and stupid and the police are drooling overly aggressive thugs (much like they are now) who must have viewed Judge Dredd as a training film. After a series of mishaps and an IQ test he is summoned to the updated for the times White House by President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho (Obama can only dream of being such a bad-ass motherf*cker) because he is now the most intelligent man on the planet and more than up to the task of solving the food crisis that plagues America. The crops are dying because instead of using water (that stuff in the toilet) they are irrigated by mega selling sports drink Brawndo: The Thirst Mutilator. Joe suggests using actual H2O and is met with incredulity by cabinet members reciting Brawndo's slogan of "It's got electrolytes as a mantra."After setting off massive social unrest and unemployment after replacing Brawndo which just happens to be the nation's biggest employer as an irrigation source, Joe is taken to an arena for a gladiatorial style event that is a wild combination between Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome and the local monster truck extravaganza that is televised on FOX - which to no surprise is not much different than it is in 2014. Joe eventually triumphs and saves the day when the crops grow again and becomes a truly honored hero of Uh-merica. His best advice is to turn off the TV and read something once in awhile and everyone lives happily ever after.

Alas, life in The Homeland isn't a movie and there is not going to be a happy ending to this ongoing nightmare as our long, slow crawl towards Idiocracy continues. As for the movie, the biting anti-corporate satire is as darkly hilarious as such critical analysis of the long-term effects are absent from the media and society today because the joke is on us all already. There was a damned good reason why Twentieth Century Fox suppressed the original theatrical release but it lives on as an invaluable source of mirth at our national plight for those with a certain sense of humor. 

So we will continue to be fed bullshit biscuits by our corrupt, immoral war criminal leaders and their rotten to the core institutions as well as their now full blown parody of a media machine. Just how long will it take until those who live here in America finally stand up on their own damned hind legs and bite back against their exploiters and oppressors just like the freedom loving people in East Ukraine are doing?

East Ukraine Jew Registration Tale Reeks of CIA Psyop

In a rapidly spreading sensationalist story about the evils of the pro-Russian (translation: anti-austerity) opposition in East Ukraine a particularly lurid piece of vile propaganda has been launched into the US state-corporate media echo chamber. There has been an amazing discovery of leaflets distributed in Donetsk requiring all Jews over the age of 16 to register with the authorities, the culprit behind this obvious false flag operation is the vaunted bastion of dumbed down American journalism USA Today - which is written at about a seventh grade reading level.  For those who have a functional memory this is an exact duplicate of that 2006 hoax that there was a new law in Iran requiring Jews to wear a yellow badge in Iran, a massive neocon promulgated lie that was nearly immediately retracted. As propaganda both rank right up there with the infamous fairy tale of Saddam Hussein's soldiers yanking babies out of Kuwaiti incubators as agitprop to induce a war frenzy in the US where nothing much changes except the designated devil, then it was Ahmadinejad and now it's Putin. While the media pounced on this like a pack of starved dogs thrown a chunk of maggoty rotting meat the tale was immediately met with skepticism within the alternative media which unlike the bought and paid for Washington presstitutes have a sense of duty as well as functional bullshit detectors.

Unfortunately the bullshit detector of one Secretary of State John Forbes Kerry, Skull and Bones alumni and constant source of American foreign policy embarrassment either doesn't work or he is in on the con, my guess is the latter. In another of his pathological rushes to judgement Kerry condemned the leaflets demanding the bogus Jew registration program as "not just intolerable, it's grotesque, is beyond acceptable" which is a statement that perfectly nails Kerry's job performance as the most abysmal excuse for a Secretary of State in US history. The tale is so ludicrous and conveniently timed that even the neocon central transmission center at The Washington Post put up a story that is chock full of caveats and qualifiers including that the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is "skeptical about the flyer's authenticity" although it wasn't questionable enough to prevent Kerry's latest outbreak of chronic diarrhea of the mouth. Kerry like the on staff WaPo neocons continue to push their lies, like that mysterious sarin gas attack in a Damascus suburb that nearly started another war last summer.

Interesting in that CIA Director John Brennan paid a visit to Kiev over the weekend and "The Agency" is no stranger to planting false stories and disseminating propaganda but it is going to take one hell of a lot more than some phony anti-Semitic leaflets a few days before Passover to sell the illicit US installed regime in Ukraine. It's a damned good thing for the Obama regime and his neocon infested foreign policy team that Americans have been fed such a constant diet of lies about Ukraine that they have zero idea that their tax dollars are funding REAL anti-Semites and neo-Nazis or this latest "ham-handed" attempt to generate outrage could put a ding in the ongoing war effort. Obama is once again getting his face rubbed into a pile of shit thanks to his own ineptitude and his choice of people to run his loathsome administration, a failure of historic proportions that will doom this country in the long run far worse than anything that Bush and Cheney did. 

The malodorous lineup of hacks, political cronies, incompetents and recycled and retained Bush-Cheney neocons that Barry has fielded over the last five plus years has been dismal beyond comprehension but Kerry has to be the cherry on top of the entire shit cake. He is the proverbial gift that keeps on giving and nobody short of the insane warmonger John Bolton (and maybe Donald Trump) would have been a worst choice as the nation's top diplomat. In great story written by Robert Parry over at Consortium News entitled "What's the Matter With John Kerry?" he knocks it out of the park. I excerpt the following:

So, when John Kerry replaced Hillary Clinton on Feb. 1, 2013, the State Department was in need of a responsible adult who would rein in the department’s penchant for stirring up trouble and then looking on helplessly as the chaos spun out of control.

But which Kerry would show up? The young Kerry who recognized how belligerent talk and playing with facts could end up getting lots of innocent people killed or the older Kerry who had trimmed his sails and learned to go with the prevailing winds, regardless of the dangers to the world?

There are times at the end of a politician’s career when the person reverts back to an earlier, more idealistic self, though more often a deeply compromised politician just continues doing what’s been learned over the decades of political survival.

It’s now clear that John Kerry fell into the latter approach. He did undertake a quixotic pursuit of an Israeli-Palestinian peace deal, perhaps hoping that success in such an impossible undertaking would be the “crown jewel” of his career, compensating for his 2004 defeat.

But Kerry also let himself be turned into a hand puppet for the neocons and R2Pers who had gained bureaucratic control of State and were set on escalating confrontations with Syria and Iran by essentially following the “regime change” blueprint designed by Vice President Dick Cheney and the neocons in the Bush-43 administration.

Influential neocons and R2Pers took command of key positions in 2013, as Kerry moved from Capitol Hill to Foggy Bottom and Obama entered his second term. Neocon Victoria Nuland was promoted from State Department spokesperson to Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs. Susan Rice became National Security Adviser, and Samantha Power took over as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.

AND

Again, someone like the young Kerry might have spoken up about the danger from unintended consequences when arrogant U.S. officials interfere in the internal affairs of another country. The young Kerry might have pondered how the Nuland-Gershman strategy of destabilizing Ukraine actually helps either the Ukrainians or the American people.

So far, the scheme holds the possibility of civil war in Ukraine, disastrous economic trouble for Europe (with fallout for the U.S. economy, too) and another splurge of U.S. military spending as bellicose politicians cut back even more on domestic priorities.

The younger Kerry might have been wise enough to cool the rhetoric and redirect the narrative into a realistic discussion that could resolve the crisis. For instance, it wouldn’t have been very hard to insist that the Feb. 21 agreement be enforced – with Yanukovych possibly serving in a ceremonial capacity until new elections could select a new president, rather than the U.S. and the EU immediately embracing a neo-Nazi-led coup.

But the older Kerry is behaving much like the older generation of Cold Warriors did in the 1960s when they insisted that there was no choice other than a U.S. military intervention in Vietnam, that the lives of tens of thousands of young American men and millions of Vietnamese was a small price to pay to stop some imaginary dominoes from toppling. South Vietnam had to be kept in the “free world.”

Yet, rather than the dovish warrior of his youth, Kerry has become a hawkish diplomat in his old age, refusing to see the other side’s case and eager to take extreme positions that are sure to get more young people killed. John Kerry in his 20s was a much wiser man than John Kerry at age 70.

The Jew-baiting pamphlet hoax litmus test will be what appears in Friday’s papers, will the neocons as they usually do in their intellectual and moral corruption and insane dogma of world domination, Muslim and Russia hating and warmongering double down? Every day that the Washington Post and to a larger degree the entire US media continues to hammer this horseshit is another day of a very slow leak of those who believe it and one day the tipping point will arrive when it will all collapse under the accumulated weight of its own bullshit.
