White House Denies Lying about bin Laden, Blasts Seymour Hersh Story

The blockbuster expose by a Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist that the Obama regime was deliberately lying about the circumstances surrounding the death of Osama bin Laden has delivered what should be a knockout punch to Barry and his minions. Seymour Hersh, writing for the London Review of Books has launched a smoking bombshell into the Obama command bunker and the junta is in full damage control mode today.

The Hersh article, “The Killing of Osama bin Laden” has resulted in a near national blackout of the story by the state-corporate media other than strident dismissals by Obama hacks and flacks and their kept stable of presstitutes. The official story of the killing of bin Laden has always failed to pass the smell test – particularly in that there was never a body – and Hersh blasts the administration for exploiting the famous raid for political gain.

Not that anyone should ever expect the truth from the den of iniquity that Obama has set up in his crib over at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW but the condemnations of Hersh are coming fast and furious. Top flack and paid liar Josh Earnest strutted out to claim that “the Obama White House is not the only one to observe that the story is riddled with inaccuracies and outright falsehoods” and that "no one here is particularly concerned about it". But if you carefully parse his words they are shitting in their pants and his comment about "not the only one" to see that the report is "riddled with inaccuracies and outright falsehoods" it is a dead giveaway that the payrolled swine in the corrupt media are already in full attack mode to smear Hersh. Foremost among the winged monkeys flying to Obama's defense is CNN's resident terrorism "expert" Peter Bergen.

Bergen, who wrote the book "Manhunt: The Ten-Year Search for Bin Laden from 9/11 to Abbottabad" stands to lose a good deal personally and financially if his hagiography of Obama's dancing around with Osama's bloody scalp on a stick is called into question. The way that these things typically work is that one who has proven to be loyal to the state in parroting the propaganda is designated to be the official storyteller and is then spoonfed the approved narrative from insiders - jerkwad Bob Woodward comes to mind. Bergen is one of those types and his sleazy attack on Hersh should have the celebrity talking head being made to answer some questions and not vice versa. Instead, he is the number one go to guy for El Presidente who has been charged with ripping Hersh's balls off.

As featured on CNN's website in the story "Was there a cover-up in bin Laden killing?" Bergen bloviates:

Was there a cover-up in bin Laden killing?

Hersh's account of the bin Laden raid is a farrago of nonsense that is contravened by a multitude of eyewitness accounts, inconvenient facts and simple common sense.

Let's start with the claim that the only shots fired at the Abbottabad compound were the ones that killed bin Laden. That ignores the fact that two SEALs on the mission, Matt Bissonnette, author of "No Easy Day," and Robert O'Neill have publicly said that there were a number of other people killed that night, including bin Laden's two bodyguards, one of his sons and one of the bodyguard's wives. Their account is supplemented by many other U.S. officials who have spoken on the record to myself or to other journalists.

I was the only outsider to visit the Abbottabad compound where bin Laden lived before the Pakistani military demolished it. The compound was trashed, littered almost everywhere with broken glass and several areas of it were sprayed with bullet holes where the SEALS had fired at members of bin Laden's entourage and family, or in one case exchanged fire with one of his bodyguards. The evidence at the compound showed that many bullets were fired the night of bin Laden's death.

Bergen makes it a point to coat his dagger in chocolate and candy sprinkles by paying homage to Hersh’s legendary career before plunging it directly between his shoulder blades. It is the veracity of Bergen that should be scrutinized because of his insider access and his boasting of being the “only outsider” to visit the house in Pakistan where bin Laden was killed. Bergen has certainly earned his invitation to the White House Correspondent’s Dinner next year for his hatchet job on Hersh and will probably be given a seat at the VIP table. The blood is now in the water and the feeding frenzy will commence to protect Obama as well as all of the miserable, overpaid charlatans in the so-called media whose ongoing lies have allowed the bastard to ruin the county and laugh at how gullible that we all are in the process. Lies like this should bring down a corrupt chief executive but they are the coin of the realm in the Homeland.

As for the Hersh story, it is a real doozy and I would strongly recommend reading it for yourself although it is pretty long because some of the stuff in it is stunning. Mike Krieger of Liberty Blitzkrieg is one of the first bloggers to call out the administration and it's lackeys in the media in his most recent post "U.S. Officials Panic About Seymour Hersh Story; Then Deny His Claims Using Jedi Mind Tricks". In any decent country that actually valued the truth and had a real and functional free press, the allegations that the president would lie about such a serious national security matter for the sake of winning a goddamned election would result in investigations being conducted, blue ribbon congressional committees convened and independent counsels appointed. Too bad that we don't live in one anymore here in Obamastan.
