Powerful Democrat Senator Bob Menendez Indicted on Corruption Charges

New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez, one of the most powerful Democrats in the United States Senate was formally indicted on corruption charges on Wednesday. Menendez, like all criminals proclaimed that he is “innocent” and mixed in “outraged” as well because elements of America’s political elite are rarely if ever are held to account for their abuse of power. It probably didn’t help Menendez’s case that he was often at odds with Emperor Barack Obama and Barry likely sent his remorseless henchman Eric Holder after him to settle the score.

Republicans - despite their ability to play the Soprano State senator off against the hated Obama - must be in high spirits as there is soon going to be one less entrenched career scumbag standing in line of a stronger majority in the Senate.

As reported by Reuters in the story “Senator Menendez of New Jersey indicted on corruption charges”:

U.S. Democratic Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey was indicted on corruption charges, allegations that the high-ranking lawmaker said he would address at a news conference on Wednesday night.

Menendez was indicted by a grand jury in New Jersey for accepting gifts from Salomon Melgen, a Florida ophthalmologist, in exchange for using the power of his Senate office to benefit Melgen's financial and personal interests, according to the court filing.

The allegations against Menendez, a senior lawmaker on foreign policy and banking, raise the possibility of Republicans gaining a 55th Senate seat to strengthen their hand in policy fights with Democratic President Barack Obama, should the senator decide to resign his seat.

Menendez was stepping down as ranking member, or top Democrat, on the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations committee, Senate aides said.

Menendez and Melgen, both 61, were charged with one count of conspiracy, one count of violating the travel act, eight counts of bribery and three counts of honest services fraud. Menendez was also charged with one count of making false statements.

Menendez, in response to previous reports of a federal investigation, has denied wrongdoing. Melgen and his representative could not immediately be reached for comment on the charges.

Menendez is no doubt dirty but so are the vast majority of United States Senators who betray their country on a daily basis and whore themselves out to the highest bidder. The Senator is no stranger to ugly allegations of misconduct and seems to have a taste for sweet young tail, it wasn’t long ago that he was accused of frolicking with underage prostitutes but he was able to wiggle out by blaming it all on Fidel Castro. The Daily Beast, which is pretty much a liberal website has an interesting piece on Menendez entitled “The Soaking Tub Bob Menendez Craved” that is worth a read if only for some of the juicier tidbits like:

If the indictment unsealed this week lands Sen. Bob Menendez in a prison cell, he will at least have the memory of the $1,536.96-a-night suite with a woman in a five-star Paris hotel—thanks to the generosity of his good friend and now co-defendant, Dr. Salomon Melgen.

“King bed, work area with internet, limestone bath with soaking tub and enclosed rain shower,” Menendez wrote in an email allegedly asking his pal to make the reservation and pick up the tab.

And if the same indictment keeps Melgen separated by prison walls from any possible female company, he will at least have the memory of the three girlfriends who secured visas to visit him—thanks to the efforts of Menendez.

The Daily Beast article closes with the hysterical lines “Maybe he and Melgen can somehow explain it all. Otherwise, they will be going to a place where there is no rain shower and no girls at all”. That is a sugar-coated way of saying that the prissy, entitled Senator may soon end up being the bitch of some big fat smelly gold-toothed black career criminal being pimped out for cigarettes and bubble gum. It’s a damned good start but why stop at Menendez? Drain the whole damned swamp in Washington.

While Hillary Rodham-Clinton enjoys the advantage of a dynastic political brand name it can just as easily cut both ways. In a bizarre, rapidly developing tale of elite sexual depravity that has ensnared British royal Prince Andrew, a former O.J. Simpson “dream team” lawyer, a pedophile "philanthropist" and possibly even Slick Willie, the silver bullet to stop the Clinton political machine may have been found. The bombshell fairy tale of perversion revolves around a lawsuit against financial high-roller Jeffrey Epstein by an at the time underaged female claiming that she was held as a sex slave and forced to have sexual relations with several men including the Duke of York.

According to one of the less sleazy accounts, this one from The Washington Post and entitled “The prince and the sex offender: Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein’s mysterious relationship”:

Overlooking the Atlantic’s azure waters along the coast of Palm Beach, Fla., a seemingly endless line of megamansions hide behind tall walls. There, some of the planet’s richest people play host to glamorous balls and parties. But in one of those houses, tucked away on El Brillo Way and once guarded by winged gargoyles, such glamour collided with scandal.

The estate belonged to New York financier Jeffrey Epstein — a sex offender once linked with former president Bill Clinton, Nobel Prize-winning scientists, Kevin Spacey and British royalty. A stream of young girls allegedly flitted in and out of the house in the mid-aughts, attending naked pool parties and, police records showed, dispensing massages to Epstein and other guests.

Prince Andrew was allegedly one of the house’s visitors. On Friday, the Duke of York was named in a federal lawsuit filed against Epstein, whom the FBI once reportedly linked to 40 young women. Filed in 2008 in the Southern District of Florida, the $50 million lawsuit claimed Epstein had a “sexual preference and obsession for underage minor girls … gained access to primarily economically disadvantaged minor girls in his home, sexually assaulted these girls.”

The Royals are in full damage control mode over the allegations involving Prince Andrew and the tabloid Brit press is engaged in an unrestrained feeding frenzy. Soon American media will be joining the scrum of sleaze and sex because if there is one thing that the dumbed-down, TV addicted populace understand it is the grave national importance of someone putting Mr. Wiggly into the dirty place. Even better for ratings would be someone putting Mr. crooked Wiggly into the dirty place. Reports are already circulating about the possible involvement of the former sex maniac in chief in this sordid saga although they are for the time being confined to blogs that draw a primarily right-wing conservative audience.

The Drudge Report has a screaming headline linking to a story from The Smoking Gun entitled “Billionaire Sex Offender's Phone Book Contained E-Mail Addresses, 21 Phone Numbers For Bill Clinton”, gadfly Pat Dollard is running the piece “Bill Clinton Flown By Billionaire To His Pedophile Sex Island “On Multiple Occasions” and the political blog Powerline has “Could Jeffrey Epstein Doom Hillary’s Presidential Hopes?”.  Rush Limbaugh of all people however came to Bubba’s defense and is calling it “guilt by association” in a posted transcript from his website entitled “Somebody Is Going After the Clintons”. It is notable that Limbaugh himself is a pervert and like Epstein, Palm Beach was his stomping ground. 

I suppose that it is at this point exactly that as the primary target is still Prince Andrew but it doesn’t bode well for Hillary that her perpetually horny, adulterous husband’s name is once again popping up in sex scandal stories. If it does turn out that Slick Willie was dipping his wick at Epstein’s private Caribbean island den of iniquity it could be big trouble for the Clintons. This will certainly be the case if the association gets any legs in the mainstream cable media that transcends the sick and twisted obsession with the royal family.

It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall today in the Hillary 2016 war room.

Report: Biden's Cokehead Son Was Kicked Out of the Navy

In the latest exhibit of the lack of values possessed by America's political elite the news has come out that Vice President Joe Biden's son was booted out of the U.S. Navy earlier this year for cocaine use. Hunter Biden was discharged back in February according to the Wall Street Journal. While Navy officials are unable to provide details due to privacy laws, "people familiar with the matter" according to the WSJ have confirmed it was for the Bolivian marching power. Interestingly, the son of Joe had only recently joined the Navy reserves and had to obtain a special waiver to do so. Looks like he was polishing up his resume for a future political run because after all, America is now a land of dynastic politics.

The Washington Post reports on Biden's discharge in a piece entitled “Biden’s son discharged from Navy after positive cocaine test”:

Vice President Joe Biden's son Hunter was discharged from the Navy Reserve after testing positive for cocaine, a source familiar with the matter confirmed Thursday.

The source spoke anonymously because no permission had been given to speak publicly about a personnel issue.

The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that Biden was discharged earlier this year after failing a drug test in June 2013. A lawyer and former lobbyist, Biden was commissioned as an ensign in the Navy Reserve in 2013. He applied for a commission into the reserve as a public affairs officer at age 42. Because of his age, Biden needed a waiver to apply. The Journal reported he needed a second waiver because of a drug-related charge when he was younger, a request that is not unusual.

"It was the honor of my life to serve in the US Navy, and I deeply regret and am embarrassed that my actions led to my administrative discharge," Hunter Biden said in a statement. "I respect the Navy's decision. With the love and support of my family, I'm moving forward."

Vice President Biden's office declined to comment.

This is the same Hunter Biden who earlier this year scored a gig on the board of Ukraine's largest gas producer Burisma Holdings. The hiring came only weeks after Foghorn Leghorn Biden himself visited Kiev in the early period after former president Viktor Yanukovych was toppled. It would be naive to believe that the younger Biden's plum position didn't have anything to do with who his daddy was. While Hunter Biden was a private citizen the entire Burisma Holdings deal stinks of political influence peddling and conflicts of interest of the worst type.

Nepotism and oligarchic secession are both traits of a corrupt system in that the sons/daughters or brothers/sisters are installed within the power structure. They then not only reinforce and cover up the corruption of their elders but institutionalize it. Hunter Biden was prepping for a future political career although now that he has been drummed out of the military over drug use any plans have likely been derailed.

One disturbing question that goes unasked is what would have happened to someone who did not hail from the circles of high political influence? The last time I checked cocaine was still illegal and if the guy had a last name of “Smith”, “Jones” or “Washington” instead of "Biden" he would likely have faced legal consequences as well.
