Neocon Propagandist Jennifer Rubin Absolutely Explodes Today

For not the first time in her illustrious career as the yappy, prolific neocon water-carrier at the Washington Post and high priestess of bullshit Jennifer Rubin cites the work of arch Iran-Contra criminal Elliot Abrams in making the case for a Middle Eastern war to end all wars. In a piece today - one of a whopping SIX that bear Rubin's byline as of suppertime this evening - the felon and spouse of an insane racist Elliot Abrams is cited in a piece entitled "Leading from the front is . . . Israel?!". I don't know if Rubin and Abrams consider the shelling and murder of four young Palestinian children playing soccer on a Gaza beach as "leading" but given the eliminationist rhetoric that has been directed at their hated enemies they may just as well be conveying the message directly from  the now fully amok Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu so intent it is at lying America into the war that he doesn't have the stones to fight himself.
Abrams is one of those figures who continues to pop up like a bouncing betty along the blood-soaked trail that the USA!, USA! USA! has embarked upon stretching from the Reagan era and the Latin American death squads, to Iran- Contra to wars of the Bush-Cheney administration and most recently as a source for tidbits of wisdom dispensed to the likes of Rubin for one of her trademark poison pen daggers in Obama's back. The Rubin piece, prior to the words of Abrams starts out like one of those artillery shells being lobbed at civilians in Gaza and of course, as they always have relentlessly done pushes for a US strike on Iran. Excerpting from Rubin:
The Obama administration blundered badly on Syria, first in not intervening quickly before jihadists entered the fray and then in erasing a red line on (repeated) use of weapons of mass destruction. To the delight of Syria’s senior partner in Iran, the United States, as it had in Iraq, also set a timetable for complete withdrawal from Afghanistan. Reticence to protect gains in Iraq, excessive effusiveness when the Muslim Brotherhood came to power and frayed relations with Israel emboldened and encouraged Iran and increased the profile of surrogates such as Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad. How could it not have that result? Indeed, U.S. allies, including Jordan and post-Morsi Egypt, went public with complaints.
We now see how that plays out in the Gaza war and in the nuclear negotiations going on in Vienna.
If the United States had no stomach for confronting Iran’s junior partner in Damascus, Israel has shown no hesitation and quite a bit of PR adeptness in pummeling Iran-backed Hamas. Former deputy national security adviser Elliott Abrams explains:
[Begin Abrams:] Hamas is losing this war badly and is unwilling to accept that defeat–whatever the cost to Gazans. Hamas has done little property damage in Israel, has not hit any symbolically important target, and has killed not one single Israeli. The Egyptian proposal would have stopped the fighting but not given Hamas any of its stated goals, such as getting the release of Hamas terrorists who had been exchanged for Gilad Shalit but recently re-arrested. Hamas also appears to want Turkey or Qatar to mediate the cease fire, because it views Egypt as deeply hostile under its new government.
f Israel comes into Gaza, one has to assume some IDF soldiers will be killed. Perhaps then Hamas will claim a partial victory and agree to a cease fire. This is a polite way of saying Hamas feels it has not spilled enough Israeli blood and wants some- and of course is unconcerned about how many Palestinians will die.[End Abrams]
Rather than a PR victory, Hamas is facing humiliation. It would arguably be the first defeat for the Iranians since President Obama took office.
The lofty gravitas of the felon Abrams is used to bolster the credibility of the Rubin smear job on how besieged, poor little Israel - whose citizens can be so safe from the Iron Dome missile shield system that they can lounge around, eat popcorn and watch the bejesus get blown out of civilians including children in Gaza - is leading the impotent US (a country that according to polls is sick of fucking war mind you) against the mad mullahs in Tehran and the imminent nuclear Holocaust. Total horseshit but when it comes to selling it Rubin is a master.
The other five pieces from Rubin - which must be a record  - are "Morning Bits" (wake up vomiting), a smackdown of our buffonish Secretary of State "John Kerry’s routine wears thin", a knee-capping of Queen Hillary the Inevitable "A communications problem, again!?" and more foreign policy advice from the fucking idiots who got us into this never-ending series of Middle-East wars "How we lost our Egyptian ally". Rubin goes on to practically blow New Jersey Democratic party Senator Robert Menendez - a man who allegedly has exotic tastes for foreign hookers which he now blames on Cuba in "Menendez for the defense" but the cherry on top of the shit cake is a magnificent crock of shit echo chamber floating of the lies of the most murderous war criminal in US history: former Vice President Dick Cheney.
Cheney, a man who in any decent society would have long ago been tried and convicted for treason and war crimes and ended up swinging from the end of a rope ala Saddam Hussein is the preeminent go-to guy for the neocons these days and Rubin's piece,  "Terrorism deniers exposed" is a spectacular, bursting fireworks across the sky attempt to wash the stink of the neocon-Cheney Iraq disaster off of their mangy asses by - of course blaming Obama which the suckers on Fox will devour. I excerpt from this still smoking disinformation doozy:
If nothing else, Alliance for a Strong America, the project of former vice president Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz Cheney, has performed a public service in calling attention to a report that received practically no mainstream news coverage. The Rand Corporation’s National Defense Research Institute put out a lengthy report in June that documents the extent to which terrorist groups have grown in numbers, strength and controlled territory at their disposal for operations. It is a damning indictment of the failure of the Obama administration to stem the tide of al-Qaeda and related groups and makes clear that the notion that al-Qaeda was damaged or on its heels was utterly untrue.
If you can smell the whiff of the musk of Darrell Issa, John Boenher, Sarah Palin and the rest of the loony tunes teabagging right-wing fanatics along with the obvious but slyly left in the background references to Benghazi and impeachment then you are more astute than the average American dumbass. Only a few days ago I believed that there was no way that the GOP would allow for an Obama impeachment and that such chatter was only a slimy fund-raising tactic but the neocons are in a feeding frenzy and it is likely going to happen much to the horror of what remains of the once rational Republican party.
Sane Republicans must be absolutely pulling their hair out over what is going to be a stupid and unpreventable massive self-immolation triggered by the neocon political terrorists who unwisely were not purged from the GOP after the Bush-Cheney disaster and the subsequent rejection of Mitt Romney. These dead-enders, with Dick Cheney as their Lenin are about to pull the ripcord on their suicide vests right when the party is poised to retake the Senate in November and if they can find a candidate with crossover appeal - Rand Paul for example  who is loathed by Rubin and her ilk - then they could actually manage to spare us all of an eight year reign of terror under Hillary. Instead, in their lunatic rush to re-invade Iraq, send the bombers on thousands of sorties over Iran and blind and biased support of the current Israeli government's latest kill-crazy rampage they would rather bring it all down in smoking ruins than take a back seat and shut the hell up by putting the interests of AMERICA first.
But sanity is not something that the neocons have ever proven to be capable of is it? They are about as rational as any ideologically pure, suicide jockeys in history. Good luck to the Republican party in stopping them before they bring about the total collapse of not only this once great country but potentially human life on the planet itself.

The Neocon vs. Rand Paul Pissing Contest Rages On

Senator Rand Paul has taken withering fire from the cheerleaders for American interventionism and global conquest at gunpoint for he is a very serious threat to the warfare and surveillance state as it currently exists and if he is not halted before the 2016 presidential campaign the idea that we do not have to be a nation crushed by the yoke of perpetual war may take hold. Paul represents the increasingly influential emerging libertarian wing of the Republican party and with growing popularity with the younger demographic - the youth that Obama shit on after mobilizing them in 2008 with his siren song of false hope and chump change - he has the potential to for the first time in decades provide a serious alternative to the corrupt sucklers of Empire.
Fresh off of being smacked down with a blistering and ridiculous editorial in the Washington Post by the ever more bizarre Texas Governor Rick Perry who in the hilarious words of Antiwar.com's Justin Raimondo is "dumber than a steer who’s been zapped by a cattle-prod and still won’t move" and in the opinion of some (myself included), is a man of such enormous idiocy and grotesque buffoonery that he actually makes George W. Bush look like Albert Einstein - Paul punched back. The Senator from Kentucky's rebuttal was featured in the gospel of the beltway Politico in a piece entitled "Rick Perry is Dead Wrong":
There are many things I like about Texas Gov. Rick Perry, including his stance on the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution. But apparently his new glasses haven’t altered his perception of the world, or allowed him to see it any more clearly.
There are obviously many important events going on in the world right now, but with 60,000 foreign children streaming across the Texas border, I am surprised Governor Perry has apparently still found time to mischaracterize and attack my foreign policy.
Governor Perry writes a fictionalized account of my foreign policy so mischaracterizing my views that I wonder if he’s even really read any of my policy papers.
In fact, some of Perry’s solutions for the current chaos in Iraq aren’t much different from what I’ve proposed, something he fails to mention. His solutions also aren’t much different from President Barack Obama’s, something he also fails to mention. Because interestingly enough, there aren’t that many good choices right now in dealing with this situation in Iraq.
Perry says there are no good options. I’ve said the same thing. President Obama has said the same thing. So what are Perry’s solutions and why does he think they are so bold and different from anyone else’s?
AND
I ask Governor Perry: How many Americans should send their sons or daughters to die for a foreign country — a nation the Iraqis won’t defend for themselves? How many Texan mothers and fathers will Governor Perry ask to send their children to fight in Iraq?
I will not hold my breath for an answer. If refusing to send Americans to die for a country that refuses to defend itself makes one an “isolationist,” then perhaps its time we finally retire that pejorative.
Today, the overwhelming majority of Americans don’t want to send U.S. soldiers back into Iraq. Is Perry calling the entire country “isolationist” too?
And he is absolutely right, Slick Rick Perry has absolutely nothing to offer besides the same bitching that always erupts like a bursting, fully ripened pustule from a party that has nothing new to offer rather than a keening cacophony of bleating every time that Obama - who they hate - so much as scratches his ass. While it will not likely please the movers and shakers within the GOP the knee-jerk opposition of everything Obama is not a substitute for a winning formula which they should understand by now after getting thumped by the black dude in two presidential elections despite his gross incompetence. This is a party that is in need of new ideas rather than the same alarmist and race-baiting bullshit that plays well to the borderline cadavers whose daily sustenance of outrage is provided by FOX News which plays them like a pack of stupid fucking donkeys. Perry's new glasses are a nice touch too but Barry Goldwater voters are dropping like flies with each passing election cycle and Rand Paul and libertarian ideas will be like sipping from the fountain of youth for a party that clings to a corpse like Reagan rather than just walk through that door into the future and a brave new world.
Perry's anti-Paul diatribe was a gut-wrenching mish-mash of warmed over neocon talking points, bogus historical references and more references to the hallowed Ronald Reagan than you can shake that cattle-prod at - it was one of the most over the top, thoroughly asinine pieces of tripe that the WAPO has published recently and that says one hell of a lot considering the lower than whaleshit level of the competition. While Senator Paul is not the man that his father is and has a tendency to go along to get along he still towers above the recycled garbage like Rick Perry, Jeb Bush and Scott Walker and blows away the sleazy political opportunists like Florida's Marco "Little Ricky" Rubio and that loudmouthed fat piece of crap up in New Jersey Chris Christie with his continued  insincere sucking up to casino magnate Sheldon Adelson the Daddy Warbucks of the neocon world domination project.
That most bitter of truths to the neocons is that an increasing amount of Americans are sick to death of their globe-trotting escapades of murder, torture and stealing of resources after the murders of women and children. The Democrats offer no viable alternative either as evident by the meddlesome adventures of the drone ranger Obama, the full-blown fanatical State Department and Cass Sunstein's wife over at the UN Samantha Power and their piling up of dead bodies based on the horseshit of humanitarian interventionism.
The 2016 election is a critical time in our nation's history for it offers what may be the last chance to banish the neocons - particularly since Hillary Clinton, a bloodthirsty bitch who puts Margaret Thatcher to shame would be a hero to the neocons and why not hedge their bets with a zany and pliable doofus like Rick Perry? Anything to keep Rand Paul and libertarian ideas out of the national conversation next year. The neocons understand this and that is why they are going right for Paul's throat, the Washington Post continues to churn out agitprop like today's offering from the high priestess of neocon bullshit Jennifer Rubin with the very creative title of "Rand Paul Isolated on Foreign Policy" from which I excerpt:
The extent of Rand Paul’s extremism is slowly coming to light. American Enterprise Institute’s David Adesnik has analyzed Paul’s recommended summer reading list. “The foreign policy section of the list consists entirely of works that blame the United States for the rise of Islamic extremism while offering solutions that verge on isolationism. Most of the books also express a sharp hostility toward Israel and toward those who believe that U.S. foreign policy should serve the cause of human freedom.”
Specifically, he includes Pat Buchanan’s anti-Semitic tract: “If Ron Paul’s message isn’t clear enough, the curious student may turn to another book on the list, Pat Buchanan’s critique of George W. Bush’s foreign policy, Where the Right Went Wrong. ‘America’s huge footprint on the sacred soil of Saudi Arabia led straight to 9/11. The terrorists were over here because we were over there. Terrorism is the price of empire.’ . . . Buchanan explains that ‘the Beltway Likud was plotting and propagandizing for war on Iraq long before 9/11.’ The distinctive trait of this clique is that it sees ‘U.S. and Israeli interests as identical.’ ” Unfortunately it’s becoming clear that Paul’s views are virtually identical to his father’s (who has three books on his son’s list). Suffice it to say, there is no elected Republican in Congress who would embrace these ideas.
If that is the best that Rubin and the neocons are able to come up with, selectively picking through Rand Paul's reading list and crying "ANTI-SEMITE" then they are more desperate than ever. That particular pejorative was at one time the ultimate trump card when it came to squashing criticism of the Middle East conflicts in which Israel always benefited from at the cost of American blood and treasure but it has lost it's potency through overuse. Pity poor Rubin and her handlers whose primary accomplishment has been to diminish "anti-Semitism" to the point that it has lost any sort of effectiveness when it comes to real anti-Semites. But that is what happens when such a filthy abuse of the historically heinous persecution of Jews - a very real problem - is turned into no more than a cheap political tactic. We all know the fairy tale of the boy who cried wolf and by continually playing that very card scum like Rubin only harm those who are the real victims.
It is time for the neocons to give up the ghost and just go quietly into the dustbin of history before their deranged, remarkably Naziesque ideology destroys the planet. It is far past time to confiscate the keys to the war machine from these highly influential lunatics.

Prolific WaPo Neocon Blogger Jennifer Rubin is Foaming at the Mouth

The neocon central propaganda transmission station at the Washington Post is as usual engaged in pushing agitation and lies to send more American money and bodies into a sucking black hole of death where we have absolutely no business in being. While it is hard to pick out the most wretched of the WaPo propagandists - they have an amazingly deep bench - I would have to say that Jennifer Rubin more than merits a share of the prize. Her ongoing screeds, often in the number of several a day call into question as to whether she actually writes this bullshit herself for just works from material provided by the William Kristol-Robert Kagan machine and simply repackages it. As could be expected with the carnival of perversion of the architects of the Iraq debacle engaged in a ghoulish media tour to revise history and jump start the PNAC Middle East domination plans Rubin provides plenty of supporting fire, sniping from the gutter as usual.
Rubin has long had a particular ax to grind with Senator Rand Paul or more particularly the non-intervention that he is selling which is incompatible with neocon fever dreams, keeping the millions employed by the government in the military and surveillance colossus on the Potomac and most importantly of all allowing for the right-wing regime of Benjamin Netanyahu to continue to flout international law and basic human decency in carving out lebensraum for Israel. Rubin and the neocons are representative of an Israeli fifth-column or as as described by John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt in their groundbreaking book "The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy". The amount of clout that Israeli right-wingers exercise in the United States is well known and understood with the corrupt US Congress effectively being in the words of Patrick J. Buchanan - "Israeli occupied territory" where a swine like Netanyahu is afforded nearly three dozen standing ovations and the William Kristol propaganda network as well as numerous think tanks providing the content to editorial pages and churning out policy "experts" to sell schemes that while beneficial to Israel are detrimental to long-term US interests. Israel also conducts (and has long conducted) some of the most aggressive spying operations within in the United States - some of which may explain the fealty of the Congress (blackmail perhaps) to recklessly commit the country to regional wars to the benefit of Israel.
But I digress..
Rubin's latest column drags out Israeli loyalist and Iran-Contra criminal Elliott Abrams as though he is an elder statesman instead of the vile warmonger and longtime cloak and dagger operative who keeps turning up through the decades when he belongs rotting in prison. Abrams in his book "Faith or Fear" once advocated for what was essentially eugenics in making the case for American Jews to adhere to only marrying within their own religion and group - sounds eerily Aryan as well as incompatible with American values but Abrams is a monster and a go to guy for Rubin who picks up the baton from Dick Cheney in her latest offering "Who is the non-proliferation president?":
Elliott Abrams, former deputy national security adviser, reminds us: “The Middle East that Obama inherited in 2009 was largely at peace, for the surge in Iraq had beaten down the al Qaeda-linked groups. U.S. relations with traditional allies in the Gulf, Jordan, Israel and Egypt were very good. Iran was contained, its Revolutionary Guard forces at home. Today, terrorism has metastasized in Syria and Iraq, Jordan is at risk, the humanitarian toll is staggering, terrorist groups are growing fast and relations with U.S. allies are strained.” Add to that a new Rand Corporation study showing terrorist groups’ activity has increased 50 percent in the last three years and the near-collapse of the nuclear non-proliferation architecture and you have a truly troubling conflagration: more terrorists, fewer functioning central governments and the potential widespread possession of weapons of mass destruction (already used multiple times with no consequences by Bashar al-Assad).
That Abrams and Rubin are still selling the lie that Syrian President Assad gassed those people last summer at the Damascus suburb of Ghouta is telling as to who is really going to benefit from the coming back door attack on the Assad regime that is currently being ginned up by the convenient appearance of ISIS in Iraq. That report by the RAND Corporation - a notorious hive of scum and villainy that only exists to sell war - that Cheney has been invoking also gets mention which makes the entire ISIS narrative even more smelly than it already is. Things are probably going to get even worse very soon as the top diplomatic moron in America John "Skull and Bones" Kerry is sliming around in Iraq right now and wherever he goes disaster follows, the man is a virtual hurricane of bullshit.
Ironic in that the Washington Post is also running one of those stupid animal tales that Americans so adore with the heart-warming story of Peanuts, the world's ugliest dog which is cuter than Rubin and would have the good sense to stay away from a devil like Abrams.

Ministry of Propaganda Smears Rand Paul Again

Nowhere in the now thoroughly corrupt US state-corporate media has the neocon crusade for war without end been more prevalent than at the Washington Post, particularly the teeming snakepit that is the editorial section. The WaPo's business is WAR, whether it be trotting out a cavalcade of liars, death pimps and war criminals to shill for an attack on Russia - longtime hack Charles Kraüthammer recently called for a "naval flotilla in the Black Sea". That such a provocation, especially in the wake of the onslaught of chickenhawk condemnation of the hated western devil Vladimir Putin could possibly lead to a nuclear catastrophe if things managed to spin out of control likely never registered with the on staff Goebbels. Given the quality of the sordid company that he keeps at the nation's flagship neocon megaphone the wheelchair bound Kraüthammer could be excused for fancying himself as Dr. Strangelove. What was at one time a highly regarded journalistic entity has gone to seed along with the long ago gone establishment boy wonder fallen from grace that used to be Bob Woodward. It is the duty of the Jeff Bezos owned beltway organ to sell the wars of aggression of a most exceptional people as put forth as gospel as espoused in the libraries of various neoconservative riffs off of Mein Kampf to promote their deadly ideology.
Outside of the deafening squealing for a full scale attack on the latest in an endless series of "new Hitlers", this time Putin, before him it was Assad, Ahmadinejad, Saddam Hussein etc. the Post is a wonderful smear machine and one of it's most despicable character assassins is the neocon warfare wench Jennifer Rubin. Ms. Rubin is as prolific as she is nauseating and given the enormous amount of poison pen diatribes that are published under her "Right Turn" byline I wonder whether she actually writes the fucking garbage herself or if it is manufactured in one of William Kristol's propaganda chop shops of which there are many. Get one thing straight about Rubin and Kristol and that their chief loyalty lies with the rogue state of Israel and no matter how much blood money that is pumped into that festering wart on the ass of humanity by the US taxpayers it will never be enough.
Rubin takes particular umbrage towards Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and her latest knee-capping is yet another doozy. Entitled "Rand Paul trashed military option for Iran and blamed the U.S. for WWII" it is an epic example of linking to a video of a speech and then smearing Paul for an accurate although rebutted reference to history in that the provocation of Japan doesn't jibe with the narrative of the "Good War". I excerpt from the piece of crap:
Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul’s push to be a Reaganite on foreign policy is eviscerated by remarks caught on video last year in which he denigrates the potential use of force in Iran and bizarrely claims the United States was partially to blame for causing World War II.  In the video, posted on a Paul fan Web site and dated Feb. 24, 2012, he minimizes the threat of an Iranian nuclear weapons, saying merely “It is not a good idea” and claims an Israeli official doesn’t think an Iranian bomb is an existential threat to Israel, something no Israeli government official or Obama administration appointee has ever agreed with.
A foreign policy expert at a center-left think tank puts it simply, saying Paul sounds like the “unreconstructed Taft-Lindbergh-Buchanan wing of party, ” referring to isolationist Republican Sen. Robert Taft, America Firster Charles Lindbergh and Pat Buchanan (who has opined that WWII need not have been fought).
The remarks disparaging the potential use of force against Iran were echoed a year later at the Heritage Foundation when Paul opined that containment would be an option for U.S. policy. These comments, his bizarre take on historical events and his current opposition to sanctions (in accord with President Obama) raise troubling issues regarding his true beliefs and the degree to which his father’s radical libertarian ideas have rubbed off on him.
Who knows what sort of videos are out there of Rubin, given that she has continually exhibited that she is bereft of anything even approaching moral decency in my opinion it wouldn't be surprising if some old drunken college party footage of her having sexual intercourse with a German Shepherd or some other vile act may be floating around - who knows. She sure seems to be the type who would dig such a thing although coming of age in an era prior to the smartphone, Facebook and YouTube is just one of those benefits of being old and in Ms. Rubin's case butt-fuck ugly as well.  Purely speculative though but those who often traffic in such SHOCKING previously undisclosed video footage often end up being impaled upon their own swords.
I wonder when she will get around to calling him out for not being sufficiently supportive of those internment camps into which law abiding, loyal American citizens of Japanese descent were thrown into. It is probably no small burr up her ass either that Rand Paul didn't stoop to the level of the other prospective 2016 Republican aspirants such as the fat fraud Chris Christie, Wisconsin's union busting Koch whore Scott Walker or Ohio's John Kasich in crawling on their bellies to lick the balls of the warmongering Zionist casino magnate Sheldon Adelson in Las Vegas over the weekend.
Some people have no shame and they are over-represented at the Washington Post, Joseph Goebbels himself would have been proud of the Pravda on the Potomac. Rubin's columns are not even worth using for bird cage lining, you would figure a future thinking man like Bezos would see in her and the rest of her strident caterwauling ilk that there is no future whatsoever in the dead tree media.

Obama Sanctions are All Bark and No Bite

With all of the smack-talking about bringing down a biblical plague of economic misery upon Russia unless the hated and demonized president Vladimir Putin stopped the Crimean referendum Barack Obama's sledgehammer of sanctions was as impotent as his five year tenure in office.  With the once mighty US establishment and it's pocket media having spent weeks snarling like the hounds of hell themselves over opposition to their ill-advised and ultimately disastrous coup d'etat against the democratically elected leader of Ukraine today's announcement of a tepid targeting of a handful of individuals fell short. Barry has proven once again what a shitty poker player that he is and brings to mind the old saying from the movie "Rounders" that "Listen, here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in the first half hour at the table, then you ARE the sucker." Alas real life isn't just a movie and Teddy KGB's "tell" of eating Oreo cookies has nothing on power geopolitics especially in dealing with the real KGB iceman Putin. Obama and his foreign policy team were fleeced and sent packing, shorn of all but the most skimpy of fig leafs.
It has been quite obvious for some time now that the emperor has no clothes but Obama insists on sticking out his bony chest, huffing and puffing about "red lines" and then folding with a pair of deuces, the man can't bluff worth shit. The 'leader' of the supposedly free world slapped his silly-assed sanctions on a handful of Crimean and Russian officials, most of whom are likely smart enough to have utilized even the most conservative of asset protection strategies so as to render the move irrelevant in doing anything other than making a mockery of Obama and his pet buffoon John Kerry.  The world is laughing at America again but you can hardly blame them considering the ongoing fools parade of ass clowns that we have been trotting out as of late. Granted that it's hard to bluff your way to the jackpot when your best hand contains the backing of gangs of brutal fascists and neo-Nazis whose arm-twisting (as well as Molotov cocktail throwing and sniper skills) were essential in ousting the elected president of a land whose fatal mistake was in not playing ball with the global finance mafia that is now going to whack the country into bite sized chunks to feed to the US corporate plunderers.
There are those however who will not find the flaccid punishment meted out by Obama's regime to be very amusing, particularly the fanatical neo-cons and our de-facto president the warmongering lunatic Senator John McCain. Fresh off of his latest pilgrimage to Kiev where he continues his rogue agitating and palling around with neo-Nazis and showered with paeans to his greatness by the reigning queen of neocon propaganda Jennifer Rubin at the beltway gospel Washington Post the man who refuses to gracefully lose elections will not be denied. McCain, who will never be truly satisfied until Moscow is reduced to a smoking pile of rubble will soon be descended upon by the corrupt squadrons of media careerists to rage against that horrible Negro who whupped his ass in 2008 for not authorizing a nuclear first strike  against Russia over the Crimean secession.
Ms. Rubin is a textbook example of the thorough rottenness of the American media, a chronic liar who should have long ago been fired for her racism and distortions continues to sing the siren songs of permanent war as well as an outspoken advocate for the neocon doctrine of feeding American blood and treasure into the sucking hole of death that is the Middle East - all for the greatest glory of God's chosen land of course. In her latest dispatch from which I excerpt she invokes McCain's dastardly New York Times kneecapping of the man he lost to in the 2008 election as well as lays it all out in a bullshit packed screed from which I excerpt the following:
Most damaging, our allies have lost faith in the administration and complain openly. “Israelis worry there is diminished interest in keeping American aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf, and fear that if a nuclear deal is struck with Iran, Washington will no longer anchor an alliance to contain Tehran. The Saudis are talking anew about the possibility of needing a nuclear deterrent of their own. . . .   The ‘pivot to Asia,’ which has been slow to materialize, was supposed to be emblematic of a new combination of soft and hard power; it was as much about building trade relationships as making it clear to the Chinese leadership that America has no intention of ceding the East and South China Seas as areas where Beijing could expect to become the sole power.” (Like Walter Cronkite and LBJ, when Obama loses the New York Times, it might be time to rethink things.)
In short, just about every conservative criticism of the administration is now conventional wisdom about the president’s shortcomings. Congress can only do so much. Our allies can only do so much. Ultimately, however, if the president is misguided and wholly unwilling to recognize a series of debacles, bad things will happen in the world. The question remains whether the president will do anything to stop the drift. If not, by the end of the term, the Russia empire will be on the march, Iran may be a nuclear-capable state, China will have intimidated our allies and both democracy and stability in the Middle East will be hobbled. As bad as Obamacare may be, it is exquisite public policy compared to the foreign policy mess.
Rubin is so prolific that I often wonder whether the bitch is actually writing her own columns or if they are simply send to her by a central lie factory within the propaganda empire of William Kristol. It is however great stuff when it comes to the tightly packed clusterbombs of horseshit and lies that any observer of the neocons have become accustomed to. The reference to Israel (if she loves it so much why not just fucking move there) and the piggish and decadent House of Saud as allies is repugnant to anyone who truly values American decency and the use of the McCain NY Times jeremiad as being legitimate by comparing it to Vietnam is ridiculous. It is just the old Nazi "stabbed in the back" lie that has been exploited by the neocons and other blood barters to imbue upon the Vietnam disaster some sort of cloak of nobility.Somehow I think that Walter Cronkite is rolling over in his grave as necrophiliac ghouls like Rubin, Kristol and McCain descend to exhume his corpse that they so indecently violate with invoking him to justify their bullshit wars of aggression.

WA-PO Fascists Rush to Defend Unconstitutional NSA Spy Programs

Organized opposition to the reigning in of the NSA Stasi was preordained and the usual suspects being neoconservative warmongers with zero respect for either the Constitution nor any concept of an America that is not on a permanent war footing are squealing like stuck pigs. With the reverberations to this week’s ruling by Federal Judge Richard Leon that only one of the myriad NSA programs  being the metadata gathering and storing for as yet to be revealed mysterious future use of bulk telephone records of millions was “Orwellian” and “likely unconstitutional” and then the tepid (but better than nothing) report of Obama’s NSA review panel beginning to finally batter the Stasi at Fort Meade the pitched defense has begun. The front lines of the war for public opinion are of course the D.C. neocon propaganda beacon that is The Washington Post. Not that the paper doesn't publish the occasional piece of excellent journalism, Barton Gellman has reported on the NSA casting the rogue intelligence operation in a considerably less favorable light than his colleagues in the teeming snakepit of an editorial section and Dana Priest has also has outstanding work to her credit like the Top Secret America series. However in the sewer that is the Washington beltway the paper is the preeminent news source although the cheesy tabloid style Politico is closing ground.

Today’s WaPo alone features a veritable holiday stocking bursting at the seams with fear-mongering, a prominently featured column, a joint effort led by former Bush Attorney General Michael Mukasey parses a boatload of legalistic bullshit in order to discredit Leon’s ruling – you have to give it to Mukasey, at least he is consistent in his contempt for the Constitution. The piece ends with the standard lie that turning America into a fascist police state is necessary to keep the sheep safe: “Most Americans willingly accept less privacy in exchange for the conveniences the Internet makes possible. But Leon’s analysis means that U.S. intelligence agencies cannot protect Americans from foreign threats using the same analytical tools that private companies employ”.  And any column that starts off with the following just cannot be taken seriously:
“A federal judge’s ruling Monday that the National Security Agency’s (NSA’s) bulk telephone metadata collection is “likely” unconstitutional is wrong on the law and the facts. It conflicts with the opinions of 15 other federal judges who have sat on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court and approved the NSA’s metadata collection 35 times since 2006.”

The FISA court of course is a secret court where there is no representation present from civil liberties advocates nor attorneys arguing the opposite side. It is what it is, an official rubber stamp on the ever growing expansion of the government’s power to control the lives of the citizenry. It takes a real legal contortionist to pull some bizarre interpretation of the Constitution out of his ass that supports the existence of secret courts, this is truly a man who would be in good company in the service of Hitler’s Gestapo or Stalin’s NKVD.  But that is what the neocons have always been about, using the memes of the foreign menace to cloak the real threat to Americans which is the fascist bent of our very own government and the revolving door of fifth-columnists the likes of Mukasey who like termites have spent decade gnawing away at our cherished freedoms. Complementing the neocon former A.G. is the always reliable shill for the PNAC/Clean Break manifestos of the eternal Middle Eastern war that is Jennifer Rubin, a propagandist as loathsome as she is prolific.

Rubin, when she isn't openly lying she is smearing libertariansembracing Obama whenever his policies and statements are steeped in the rebooting of the Cold War and backing up swine like Mukasey with drivel like this vomit inducing bit "The NSA review report should be tossed in the trash" in which she refers to a "pre 9/11 mindset" and backs Mukasey's defense of the secret FISA court that is not included within the U.S. Constitution from which I excerpt:

The House and Senate intelligence committee chairmen also will be highly skeptical of the report. In a curt statement, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) already declared, “Though I am still studying the details, I have serious concerns with some of the report’s 46 recommendations. Any intelligence collection reforms must be careful to preserve important national security capabilities. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the Congress to enact meaningful reforms in the near future.”

Like Rogers, Senate Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) has been a responsible defender of the NSA program. In response to the much-criticized district court ruling holding the program unconstitutional, she issued a detailed rebuttal pointing out that the ruling “differs from those of at least 15 separate federal district court judges who sit, or have sat, on the FISA Court and have reauthorized the program every 90 days — a total 35 times in all” as well as another district court judge from California. After pointing out that the Supreme Court will have the final say, she noted, “Those of us who support the call records program do so with a sincere belief that it, along with other programs, is constitutional and helps keep the country safe from attack. I believe the program can benefit from additional transparency and privacy protections — including additional public reporting and added court review provisions which were recently adopted by the Senate Intelligence Committee in the bipartisan FISA Improvements Act.”

There you have it, any column that not only defends secret courts but also hard core and corrupt fascists who use their plum congressional committee chair positions to wage war against the American people cannot be taken seriously.

While the NSA is defended the insipid Charles Kraüthammer wages a rearguard attack on – groan – Obamacare, the massive corporate scam that has deftly been repackaged as a Bircheresque communist takeover of America by longtime, well paid propagandists looking to rouse the rabble for a 2014 storming of the polls. Obamacare sucks, has been falsely sold as healthcare reform when it is nothing but a taxpayer subsidized gift to the parasitic insurance industry and has provided greedy corporations with the perfect opportunity to jettison those inconvenient drags on annual executive bonus amounts that are employee dependents. Only in a country as dumbed down as this one does this pass for communism, socialism or Marxism when it is what it is and that is fascism – a merger of corporate and state power, just like the ongoing government support of financial markets with 85 billion a month in free gambling money to Wall Street casinos. That all three systems do nothing but redistribute wealth to a corrupt, entrenched elite with varying degrees of the use of state power against those not connected is rarely if ever noted. But Kraüthammer has bills to pay too so the flogging of the dead horse continues and I have yet to see the sleazy bastard critique the loss of civil liberties under the rogue surveillance machine run by the NSA.

The Washington Post has long been one of the most sordid sources of big state propaganda in the land and has for too long been able to live off of the laurels of the Watergate reportage that led to the downfall of Richard M. Nixon. It was former publisher Philip Graham who was recruited by the CIA's Frank Wisner for Operation Mockingbird the agency's prototype program to transform media into state propaganda organs. The WaPo's legacy of collaborating with the deep state intelligence agencies will continue as the torch is now passed to the new owner, Amazon's Jeff Bezos who has sealed a $600 million deal to provide the CIA with cloud services.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
