Zombies: American as Apple Pie in Obamastan

Just in time for Halloween comes an interesting take on the zombie phenomenon in America. Pop culture seems to be saturated with zombies in movies, video games and on television with the smash hit AMC series The Walking Dead. The genre had seemingly died years ago after the umpteenth Dawn of the Dead sequel but is back and more popular than ever in 2014 America.

John Whitehead of the civil rights organization The Rutherford Institute has a new piece out on the allure of zombies in America. The piece is entitled “Zombies Are Us: The Walking Dead in the American Police State” from which I excerpt:

Fear and paranoia have become hallmarks of the modern American experience, impacting how we as a nation view the world around us, how we as citizens view each other, and most of all how our government views us.

Nowhere is this epidemic of fear and paranoia more aptly mirrored than in the culture’s fascination with zombies, exacerbated by the hit television series The Walking Dead, in which a small group of Americans attempt to survive in a zombie-ridden, post-apocalyptic world where they’re not only fighting off flesh-eating ghouls but cannibalistic humans.

Zombies have experienced such a surge in popularity in recent years that you don’t have to look very far anymore to find them lurking around every corner: wreaking havoc in movie blockbusters such as World War Z, running for their lives in 5K charity races, battling corsets in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and even putting government agents through their paces in mock military drills arranged by the Dept. of Defense (DOD) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

AND

Here’s the curious thing: while zombies may be the personification of our darkest fears, they embody the government’s paranoia about the citizenry as potential threats that need to be monitored, tracked, surveilled, sequestered, deterred, vanquished and rendered impotent. Why else would the government feel the need to monitor our communications, track our movements, criminalize our every action, treat us like suspects, and strip us of any means of defense while equipping its own personnel with an amazing arsenal of weapons?

For years now, the government has been carrying out military training drills with zombies as the enemy. In 2011, the DOD created a 31-page instruction manual for how to protect America from a terrorist attack carried out by zombie forces. In 2012, the CDC released a guide for surviving a zombie plague. That was followed by training drills for members of the military.

Interesting and more than a little bit spooky in that the military and government actually have a game-plan on how to respond to zombie attacks.  I had not realized that but it does make sense in a perverse sort of way. You don’t have to be a raving paranoid to believe that the government views certain segments of the populace as enemies because none of this surveillance and police state crap makes sense otherwise.

I have long viewed the zombie fascination as being more of a metaphor for the state of American society in general. One needs only go to a shopping mall or discount retail outlet to see it. I stopped by my local Wal-Mart superstore last week to pick up some beer on the way home and could not help but notice the demeanor and disheveled state of many of the shoppers. They shuffled up and down the aisles of the grocery department loading their squeaky-wheeled carts with cheap food items but many seemed to be afflicted with a thousand yard stare. You can see a certain sense of quiet desperation in these folks and it's saddening and freaky at the same time. President Barack Obama sold the economic snake oil and six years of Federal Reserve market manipulation has worked wonders for a few but reduced large segments of average Americans to casualties bereft of hope.

The ones at Wal-Mart are the lucky ones, they still have two nickels to rub together no matter how broken that their spirits may be in this land of greed, corruption, militarism and woe. The "zombies" are a bit more upper class at the local shopping mall, a garish assortment of expensive retail outlets that peddle the same cheap made in China shit as you find at Wally World at full mark-up. Never mind that some borderline slave is working under brutal, sweatshop work conditions, Americans will eagerly shell out the dough. This is especially so if they can continue to just put in on those little plastic instruments of indentured servitude to the global banking mafia. They are as soul dead as their "walker' counterparts despite their narcissism and inability to stop gibbering into their cellphones.

But for some real American zombie action one needs to only check out the annual Black Friday door buster bonanza sales. The carnage gets worse each year and while we are not quite at the limb-ripping, flesh-eating stage yet there are plenty of people rushing the barricades each Thanksgiving night who will be ready to rumble if the ever time comes.

Zombies are a perfect sign of the times and are now as American as apple pie in Obamastan.

Reporter Targeted by Obama War on Journalism Blasts Terror War Ripoffs

James Risen is the poster boy for the Obama administration’s war on journalism. The New York Times reporter faces a prison sentence for his refusal to testify in the trial of whistleblower and former CIA employee Jeffrey Alexander Sterling. Sterling, who has been indicted under the Espionage Act of 1917 was a source for information that Risen wrote about in his book "State of War" and the feds are hellbent at setting an example. The archaic World War I law has been a favorite of the Obama Justice Department when it comes to squashing scrutiny of our now fully gangsterized federal government. While Risen awaits the decision on whether to lock him up behind bars he was written a new book that is a devastating critique of the profiteering off of the Global War on Terror (GWOT).

Risen, who has called President Barack Obama “the greatest enemy of press freedom in a generation” has made no friends within the bowels of the government with the scathing Pay Any Price: Greed, Power, and Endless War. The book gores the sacred ox of the post 9/11 Homeland Security state as being an irresponsible, incompetent and corrupt Leviathan that has squandered trillions in taxpayer money under the scam of keeping us safe. What has really occurred is that legions of opportunists, political cronies and con artists have grabbed a ride on the GWOT gravy train and will not easily be dislodged.

In the book’s prologue Risen writes: “Obama performed a neat political trick: he took the national security state that had grown to such enormous size under Bush and made it his own” and that “Obama’s great achievement – or great sin – was to make the national security state permanent”.  There can be no argument with that given the revelations of the mass domestic surveillance programs of the American Stasi, the NSA. This is a massive agency gone totally rogue that has engaged in vast unconstitutional data-mining, warrantless surveillance, eavesdropping and most ominously storing information on Americans for some yet to be defined future use. That whopper of an NSA storage facility that sits in Bluffdale, Utah is a totalitarian wet dream and it has all been enabled by Obama and a bipartisan amen corner of fascists, political hacks, corrupt legislators and pocket judges.

What Risen does is in “Pay Any Price” is to provide multiple examples of the bottom-feeding parasites who have attached themselves to the war on terror for personal enrichment, both in terms of money and power.  I except the following from the prologue:

The new homeland security-industrial complex operates differently. It is largely made up of a web of intelligence agencies and their contractors, companies that mostly provide secret services rather than large weapons systems and equipment.

These contractors are hired to help Washington determine the scale and scope of the terrorist threat; they make no money if they determine that the threat is overblown or if, God forbid, if the war on terror ever comes to an end.

AND

There were more than 1,200 government organizations and nearly 2,000 private companies working on counterterrorism, homeland security, and intelligence programs, the Washington Post found in 2010, and more than 850,000 people in America had top-secret security clearances, producing 50,000 intelligence reports a year. The U.S. Intelligence budget alone has at least doubled since 2001, and by 2013, stood at more than $70 billion a year, including both civilian and military intelligence spending.

It is no accident that seven of the ten wealthiest counties in America are in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

Consider that last line and it puts recent remarks made by Queen Hillary the Inevitable that businesses do not create jobs in a different light. The government is largely responsible for job creation – especially for the surveillance state Gomorrah that has grown exponentially in the vicinity of the nation's capital.  The Washington Post story that Risen refers to is the three-part “Top Secret America” series by  Dana Priest and William M. Arkin. It was later expanded into a book of the same name.

Some of the stories told in “Pay any Price” chronicle the billions of dollars of U.S. currency sent to Iraq out of the New York Federal Reserve’s East Rutherford Operations Center in the early days of Shock and Awe. According to Risen, “between $12 and $14 billion, mostly in $100 bills was taken from East Rutherford and flown into the war zone of Iraq in 2003 and 2004” with "another $5.8 billion" sent from the New York Fed to Baghdad via wire transfers.  History shows that billions of dollars in that loot went missing with between “$1.2 and $1.6 billion” spirited away and now believed to be stashed in Lebanon. Risen nails it in writing that “it was the moment when thievery in the global war on terror achieved industrial scale”.

Even more interesting is the tale of a man named Dennis Montgomery, a chubby middle-aged degenerate gambler who would go on to be nailed for passing $1 million in bad checks in Las Vegas casinos. Montgomery was able to con the government into wasting taxpayer money on a software program that he claimed would be able to intercept and decipher secret Al Qaeda code that was embedded in Al Jazeera broadcasts. It was all bullshit though and nearly led to a tragic catastrophe when government officials pondered whether to shoot down  commercial airliners over the Atlantic Ocean before sanity prevailed.

Another great piece on Montgomery comes from the website of Wired magazine, published in 2009  and entitled “Report: Programmer Conned CIA, Pentagon Into Buying Bogus Anti-Terror Code” which is priceless for the following:

When one CIA officer finally learned the source of the information his agency was being fed, he says he was livid.

“I was told to shut up,” “I was saying, ‘This is crazy. This is embarrassing.’. . . I said, ‘Give us the algorithms that allowed you to come up with this stuff.’ They wouldn’t even do that. And I was screaming, ‘You gave these people fucking money?’”

Frances Townsend, a Homeland Security adviser to President George W. Bush, admits to the magazine that the bar code idea sounded far-fetched, but said the government had no choice but to pursue the leads Montgomery passed them.

“It didn’t seem beyond the realm of possibility,” she said. “We were relying on technical people to tell us whether or not it was feasible. I don’t regret having acted on it.”

It was a branch of the French intelligence services that finally helped convince the U.S. government in 2004 that the bar codes were fake after they and the CIA commissioned another company to try to detect the messages and were unable to uncover anything.

Mr. Montgomery at one time had enough political juice to be as Risen tags him, “The Emperor of the War on Terror”.  The chapter on this con artist alone is in my opinion worth shelling out the dough for the book. Risen continues to go for the jugular throughout and I am sure that assholes within the Obama regime have been puckering since the publication date. They do have other fish to fry for the time being with elections and Ebola but I suspect that it won’t be long until the attack dogs are loosed on Risen for his blasphemy.

Americans have been getting screwed for years over the trumped up war on terror. We are really no safer than we were on September 10, 2001 but we have been robbed blind and methodically stripped of our cherished civil liberties by a government run amok.

The war on terror has always been a Hitlerian big lie, and a lucrative one for the politically connected. 

The Ebola Quarantines Begin

In the wake of the latest Ebola case, this one in the mega-population center of New York City there are serious questions on how to prevent a national spread of the virus. Both New York and New Jersey are sufficiently spooked so as to begin to implement mandatory quarantines on some of  those returning from areas where Ebola is rampant. The question now becomes just how much of an intrusion on civil liberties will come as the result of the escalated state of action.

It seems rather quaint to be talking about civil liberties at all in the post Constitutional wasteland of the Obama era. This is after all the administration that presides over the all-seeing, unaccountable spy machine that is the NSA Stasi and has given it impunity to gather data all Americans. The Global War on Terror (GWOT), now in year thirteen has allowed for the government to eviscerate the US Constitution and usher in an era when Americans can be spied upon, arrested and disappeared without a public trial. We now live in a land of secret courts with a malevolent and corrupt government that will use any measures, no matter how Draconian to protect it's power.

The new quarantines are described in a story from The Guardian entitled “New York and New Jersey issue tough new Ebola quarantine measure”:

Anyone flying into New York and New Jersey after having contact with Ebola sufferers in west Africa will be subjected to a mandatory 21-day quarantine, the governors of the two states announced on Friday, adding that one returning medic had already been detained.

Andrew Cuomo of New York and Chris Christie of New Jersey unveiled the joint policy, which goes beyond federal rules set out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as officials indicated the Obama administration was considering a similar rule throughout the US.

Cuomo, the Democratic governor of New York, said: “We’re just not comfortable with the concept of voluntary quarantine as an effective public health security measure.” He stressed that the CDC had made clear states were entitled to set tougher rules of their own.

Christie, the Republican governor of New Jersey, said he was prepared to take “whatever steps were necessary to ensure the public health” amid the ongoing risk of Ebola. “New Jersey and New York are going to determine the standards of quarantine, since CDC’s guidance is continually changing,” he said. “We need to set a standard for our two states.”

The quarantines have already come under fire from the the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and a nurse who was quarantined after treating Ebola victims has blasted her treatment. It is a touchy situation and the choices are to risk normalizing such detentions which could rapidly expand beyond health care workers or continue to do nothing as Ebola cases continue to pop up.

The consequences of a national Ebola outbreak would be catastrophic. Both in human costs as well as economic and everything possible must be done in order to avoid that. Once again, we are witnessing  the fallout from moronic and short-sighted government policies.  In this case the Obama regime’s foolhardy and flippant downplaying of the threat of Ebola. This continues with the politics of the moment – the 2014 mid-terms - taking precedence over public safety. The proof of the pudding is Barry's staged photo op with the Ebola infected nurse Nina Pham on Friday in the White House.

The quarantine of selected individuals returning from countries ravaged by Ebola, particularly if they are health care personnel who may have been exposed is a small price to pay for containment. They should be fully aware of the risks and a temporary period of precautionary isolation sucks but as long as the conditions are decent and not like a prison camp it isn't anything that is unreasonable. It is however a rock solid guarantee that if there is a national epidemic that you have not seen anything yet in terms of violations of civil liberties which will be rampant. The government has accrued an uncanny amount of police state power since that ugly and tragic pristine September morning back in 2001 and it will not hesitate to bring it all to bear when a state of emergency provides them with the opportunity to do so.

It is understandable for millions of Americans to live in a state of fear and to surrender their rights to the government in the hope that they will be protected, however it is obscene that nobody ever got to vote on it. Now these powers exist and are valuable components in the big toolbox of the state and as the saying goes, you can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube. We are a damned good ways down the path to fascism in the USA! USA! USA! and it is doubtful that there exists a trail of breadcrumbs leading back to being a constitutional republic. 

When it comes to the quarantines of a few to try to prevent the further spread of the virus it is damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

Nice job Obama, tell us that one again about how there was no domestic risk of Ebola.

Obama Regime Uses Ebola Nurse in Staged Public Relations Scam

Friday was a  busy news day in America - all of it bad. There was another school shooting, this time in a Seattle area High School and looking like the blood vengeance of a lover scorned. A deranged man in New York attacked four cops with a hatchet, killing one and adding to the national climate of fear and loathing in that he may have had Islamic leanings. Two California police officers were gunned down in cold blood in another of the senseless acts of violence that now plague America. There was also news of travel restrictions in New York and New Jersey in an attempt to control the spread of Ebola. Trying to nudge his way in between the carnage, President Barack Obama continued to engage in shameless public relations stunts as the crucial mid-term elections grow nearer by the day.

Obama, and by extension the entire rancid gaggle of corrupt clowns that is the Democratic party have been hit hard by the introduction of Ebola into the US. For weeks. They have been frantically trying to put a positive spin on it but the latest case, in New York City has undermined the propaganda. But they are relentless and Barry hosted Nina Pham, one of the nurses who caught the virus from Thomas Eric Duncan at the White House on Friday.

According to a story from The Guardian entitled “Obama hugs Dallas nurse hours after she is declared free of Ebola”:

Barack Obama sought to reassure Americans over the risks of Ebola transmission on Friday by way of a hug in the Oval Office with Nina Pham, the Dallas nurse who had been declared free of the virus only hours earlier.

White House officials said their invitation to Pham had been made to celebrate her full recovery from the illness at a National Institutes of Health facility in nearby Bethesda.

“This an opportunity for the president to thank her for her service,” said spokesman Josh Earnest. “This is someone who displayed the kind of selfless service to her fellow man that is worthy of some praise.”

But he acknowledged the photo opportunity – just hours after fourth US case was confirmed in New York – was also a way to demonstrate the president’s confidence in medical protocols amid growing political criticism of the administration’s handling of the crisis.

It was a warm and fuzzy moment for the increasingly unpopular president and the administration stooges in the corrupt state-corporate media will run with it. They will once more try to conjure up some of that “hope” and “change” that led to Obama’s election in the first place but it is just more of the same old snake oil. Americans are suckers for charlatans preaching a message of  better days ahead, but as is often the case such promises turn out to be fraudulent, this is particularly so with Obama.

I have long believed that nearly every rotten thing in an America that has gone off the rails can be laid at the feet of the positive thinking con game and a culture that encourages blind obedience. Optimism is only another word for denial and a majority of Americans who were for the most part, largely immersed in their fantasy worlds of television and propaganda lunged for the poison bait of the Obama political operation. The Bush years were dismal times indeed and this added to the allure of Obama but he was always an empty suit and in the end has proven to be far worse than Bush in that he can hide behind a smile. It is Fozzie Bear fascism but he has gotten away with it.  

The triumph of  Mr. Transparency was a marketing achievement so cynical that Brand Obama was awarded with the honor of being named Advertising Age’s Marketer of the Year. In late 2014 the hope and change have become ashes and sackcloth to those who bought into the scam. Obama’s photo op with Nurse Pham is intended to provide just enough balm to festering sores of the lepers so as to get them to the polls in sufficient numbers one final time so as to preserve the Dem control of the Senate. It is unlikely to work and there are still two weeks for additional Ebola cases to pop up.

The dismal economy and the fact that few Americans outside of tony enclaves like Martha’s Vineyard and The Hampton’s as well as the entitled living within the D.C. beltway are actually better off than they were six years ago is bad but manageable. What really is resonating with Americans though is Ebola. That and the incomprehensible incompetence of the Obama regime in playing down the dangers of a domestic introduction of the virus really pisses people off. Thus the need for gimmicks and staged events to sell that last satisfying hit of hopium before the nation is finally swamped by the deluge of disaster wrought by Obama and his failed policies.

El Presidente can whip out a rag to polish the turd of his legacy until his arm falls off but at the end of the day it will still be a turd.

New Ebola Case Derails Obama Administration Spin Machine

Just as the Obama administration had managed to successfully manage the news cycle to play down the danger of the Ebola virus another case has manifested itself. This time in New York City. Such a thing in the most overpopulated city in America – and probably one of the most unsanitary – will be a serious problem if not contained.  The primary crisis of the Ebola problem, at least to the thoroughly rotten Obama regime has been in how to best contain the political damage in an election year. I strongly suspect that this is why El Presidente tabbed a longtime party hack with no medical experience as Ebola Czar last week - to serve as a perception manager.

The corrupt state-corporate media then began to smear those critical of President Ebola as tin-foil hatters, truthers and the always effective chosen pejorative of the powerful: conspiracy theorists. What better way to boost the Democrats than politicizing what is a serious national health crisis. It was working wonders too, allowing for the focus to shift back to the pitched battle to keep the Senate under the control of former Nevada Gaming Commissioner Harry Reid but then came Thursday. Craig Spencer, a physician from the relief group Doctors Without Borders who was working in Africa was admitted to a Big Apple hospital. According to a report from The Guardian entitled “Ebola crisis: Doctor at New York hospital tests positive”:

A physician who recently returned to New York from Ebola-ravaged west Africa has tested positive for the disease, officials announced.

Craig Spencer, 33, a doctor who lives in the Harlem neighbourhood of the city, was taken to hospital in New York on Thursday after displaying symptoms consistent with those caused by Ebola, including a fever of 103F (39.5C).

A preliminary test on Thursday confirmed that Spencer, who arrived back in New York from Guinea on 17 October, has the virus. Federal officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which has sent a team to New York City to assist city and state officials in the response, will carry out a further test to confirm the result.

Officials told a press conference at Bellevue hospital on Thursday that they were monitoring four people with whom Spencer had contact. His fiancée, Morgan Dixon, and two friends had been quarantined, while the fourth person, a taxi driver, was not considered to be at risk.

Spencer took several trips on the New York subway in the past week, visited the Gutter bowling alley in the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn on Wednesday night and took an Uber cab, all before he began to display symptoms, officials said.

Nice screening procedures at JFK airport. Wasn’t this just being touted as a way to keep Ebola out? There are reports that Spencer was able to successfully enter the U.S. despite the JFK airport screenings. Maybe it is now time for Plan B which likely is nonexistent considering Obama's track record. It is also good to see that the doctor lived in Harlem, if there were ever a place that could be a perfect incubator for a mass pocket of Ebola it would be there. There is surely no shortage of dirty needles and unprotected sexual activity in Harlem to assist in spreading the virus. It’s also nice to see that the CDC is sending a crack team to assist with the response to this latest case of Ebola despite the glaring fact that the institution is thoroughly incompetent. How is that for reassuring?

I am sure that the White House will be sending a team of seasoned propagandists as well to manage the news during Dr. Spencer’s period of treatment.  The Democratic party operatives will probably find some way to play the racial angle on this case as well. This is especially likely when according to McClatchy News that the party is frantic over a lack of enthusiasm exhibited among black voters disgusted with Obama. That is the Dems though, they pander to identity groups like they really “share their pain” and then shit all over them once the votes have been counted and the asses of the politicians are sitting upon their thrones.

One would have to be a complete cynic to draw the conclusion that the latest Federal Reserve boost to the crack-ho markets, the drop in gas prices and nipping Ebola in the bud were all coordinated to manipulate public opinion before a critical election. But when you realize that the power structure of this country is thoroughly packed with cynical connivers and self-motivated scumbags such things would not be outside of their area of expertise. The real cynics turn pro and enter into the political realm and there is no bigger one than President Ebola himself. The fish does rot from the head down as the old Greek proverb puts it.

I wonder if the new Ebola Czar may even start to show up at meetings now.

Democrats Whip Out Their Slick Willie

Outside of Adolf Hitler himself it would be hard to imagine a historical political figure who is as much a turnoff to so many as President Barack Obama. Barry is now officially radioactive to the point where his even speaking at a campaign stop to bolster a hapless Democrat’s election hopes sent hordes of disgusted Americans scrambling to the exits. One could say that he is about as popular as the Ebola virus these days which is particularly ominous for the staggering Dems as they are about to be given the knockout punch by voters. So what do the Democrats do?  They bring in the big gun, former President Bill Clinton to troll for suckers in the waning days before political Armageddon 2014.

Bubba Clinton’s stops include several in the Bluegrass State to stump for Alison Lundergan Grimes in her bid to upset longtime Senator and the man who would be Senate Majority Leader, the turtle-faced con artist Mitch McConnell. This comes despite the fact that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) pretty much threw in the towel last week by bailing on funding  her negative ads. It is as though the shameless old degenerate with the allegedly crooked penis is a man of miracles.

According to a story from the website of  Democratic party propaganda network MSNBC:

National Democrats may have abandoned Alison Lundergan Grimes in her fight to unseat Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell next month, but Bill Clinton isn’t giving up hope: The former president returns to the state Tuesday afternoon to campaign for Grimes in two rallies, his third visit since she won the Democratic primary earlier this year.

Clinton’s efforts to stump for the Democratic hopeful reveal his continued support. He will attend an event in Owensboro at 3 p.m. local time, and in Paducah at 7 p.m. local. He made his first appearance on her behalf in February, ahead of the state primary that Grimes later won by 37 percentage points. In August, Clinton visited the state again to address a crowd of supporters. And just last week, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton joined her husband in Louisville, where she warned voters that they will regret taking a victory for granted.

Unlike President Barack Obama, whose approval ratings in Kentucky continuously hover near 30%, the former commander-in-chief remains popular among residents in the mostly conservative state. Thousands of residents flocked to hear him speak during his past two appearances in the Bluegrass State. And both Clintons carried Kentucky in their respective presidential campaigns.

Grimes is likely doomed but according to some reports she may end being beholden to the Clintons for their last ditch effort to bolster her hopes.  The Louisville Courier Journal published a story: “If elected, Grimes would owe the Clintons” and it is a good bet that the man who is incapable of keeping his dick in his pants is counting on exactly that. Slick Willie is probably just sizing up a prospective new piece of ass for his likely return to the White House as first husband in January 2017.

The mainstream media is already swooning over the restoration of the Clinton dynasty. The Washington Post is running a story entitled "Hillary Clinton is a bright spot on a gloomy Democratic election landscape" that states:

The presumptive Democratic front-runner for 2016 is among her party’s best assets to raise money and energize voters amid a gloomy election landscape for Democrats this fall, and she is campaigning hard even on behalf of apparent lost causes.

As a pair of events this week in California illustrated, Clinton’s efforts to raise money and get out the vote for Democratic congressional and gubernatorial candidates often dovetail with her own political agenda. Her first political season after stepping down as secretary of state has combined political boosterism for Democrats — including in key presidential states — with high-dollar fundraising and lucrative paid speeches.

The appearances give revealing clues as to what kind of candidate Clinton might be in two years — emphasizing women’s issues and striving to thread the needle between her hawkish, centrist history and the more liberal base that rejected her in favor of Barack Obama in 2008.

Here in San Francisco on Monday, Clinton gave a spirited call to arms to Democrats as she road-tested what is likely to be her economic message if she runs again. The November midterms, she said, come down “to a simple question: Who’s on your side?”

For conservatives who thought that the corrupt state-corporate media was in the bag for Barack I have news for you: you haven't seen anything yet. America just loves stories about goofy dipshit couples. I mean my God, in what other country could the reality TV series "The Osbornes" have been such a smash hit? Outside of  the endless wars, the imposition of a national domestic surveillance state, using the IRS to target political foes and botched responses to natural disasters and diseases, the media has suffered through years of boredom. There is nothing quite like the smell of tawdry sexual naughtiness and marital betrayal that is more alluring to our panty-sniffing tabloid press.

Like it or not, America is going to get reacquainted with the nation’s “first black president” William Jefferson Clinton very soon. I suppose that it was inevitable but the chubby little trollop who occasionally served as Bubba's humidor, Monica Lewinsky has recently surfaced again as well. If nothing else, the future is not going to be lacking for sheer entertainment value. That is if you have a really twisted sense of humor.

Pentagon Announces Domestic Emergency Ebola Response Team

Living in the America of the post-September 11, 2001 era one must understand that the answer to pretty much everything is to call in the military. The ongoing wars in the volatile Middle East are one thing but such ideas are beginning to bleed over into the domestic realm. We already have the Pentagon underwriting the militarizing of the American police and the intelligence services working with locals law enforcement to set up Fusion Centers. Now the feds are kicking around the idea of a military response to an Ebola outbreak. Can an excuse for martial law be far behind?

According to a story that just broke on the website of the Los Angeles Times entitled “Pentagon announces Ebola rapid-response team for U.S. cases of virus”:

The Pentagon announced Sunday it is putting together a 30-person rapid-response team that could provide quick medical support to civilian healthcare workers if additional cases of the Ebola virus are diagnosed in the United States.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel ordered U.S. Northern Command Commander Gen. Chuck Jacoby to assemble the team, which was requested by the Department of Health and Human Services, said Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby.

The team will consist of 20 critical-care nurses, five doctors trained in infectious disease, and five trainers in infectious-disease protocols.

"Once formed, team members will be sent to Ft. Sam Houston in Texas for up to seven days of specialized training in infection control and personal protective equipment," Kirby said in a statement. "That training is expected to start within the next week or so and will be provided by the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases."

Once the team is trained, they will remain in Texas in a "prepare to deploy" status for 30 days, available to be sent to other U.S. locations as required, he said. The team will not be sent to West Africa, where the Ebola virus is running rampant, or elsewhere overseas.

The creeping cat’s feet of American fascism continue to get louder and the introduction into The Homeland of the Ebola virus may be just that “serious crisis” that Rahm Emanuel would never let go to waste. It really is only a matter of time until an American president crosses the Rubicon and declares a state of martial law - you can bet on it.

The Posse Comitatus Act has pretty much been rendered null and void by the establishment of NORTHCOM several years back. This command ensured that the military would be properly equipped and legally authorized to deal with unspecified domestic issues in a time of national emergency. Whether it will be Obama, Hillary or some Republican upstart the power and ability now exists to implement martial law. Sadly, the public acceptance of it also exists.

Operations in Beantown in the aftermath of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing where militarized police conducted warrantless door to door searches were essentially a live drill for martial law. Now the government is no longer even bothering with the pretense that the troops won’t be called out on American soil when that “serious crisis” arises. It could be Ebola or it could be in Ferguson in a few weeks when a grand jury does not indict right-wing hero and rogue cop Darren Wilson for the murder of the unarmed teenager Michael Brown and the riots start but it’s coming.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower must be rolling in his grave now that his dire warnings of the dangers of the Military Industrial Complex went unheeded and have now become fully realized.

The proverbial camel’s nose is already under the tent if you have bothered to take a good look around.

Orwell 101: Obama Downplays Ebola as Elections Loom

War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength and 2+2=5. Those all come from George Orwell’s enduring classic novel of a totalitarian dystopia "1984" but could easily be adapted for Obama’s America in 2014.  A critical component of Orwell’s book is the perversion of language and the triumph of the lies of the state in enhancing its own power. It is called “newspeak” and is an indispensable item in big toolbox of the American political establishment. The government now lies as a first resort, no longer even bothering with the truth. The corrupt state media – long in bed with the Obama regime – then reinforces the lies and the system continues to rot as Americans get the shaft over and over again. El Presidente, with the clock ticking down towards the November elections did Orwell proud during his Saturday morning weekly presidential radio address.

President Ebola’s message to the nation is described by the Washington Post in a piece entitled “Obama: ‘We can’t give in to hysteria or fear’ of Ebola” from which I excerpt the following:

President Obama on Saturday sought to tamp down fears of an Ebola outbreak and defend his administration from Republican critics who have called for a more aggressive response to the disease, including sealing off U.S. borders to visitors from countries battling widespread outbreaks.

“We can’t just cut ourselves off from West Africa, where this disease is raging,” Obama said in his weekly radio address. “Trying to seal off an entire region of the world — if that were even possible — could actually make the situation worse.”

Such actions would make it harder for American health-care workers, soldiers and supplies to reach stricken areas and could prompt residents of countries in West Africa where Ebola is still spreading to try to evade screening on their way to the United States or Europe, Obama said.

The president’s main message was one of calm, coming at a time of growing worry in communities throughout the country. “We can’t give in to hysteria or fear, because that only makes it harder to get people the accurate information they need,” Obama said. “If we’re guided by science — the facts, not fear — then I am absolutely confident we can prevent a serious outbreak here in the United States.”

Just ‘trust me’ is the message from Obama and how many times have Americans heard that one before only to be hornswoggled?  Travel restrictions are off the table and would only "make the situation worse". There is more than a whiff of 2+2=5 in that sort of batshit crazy type of reasoning.  Had travel restrictions been imposed on flights from the Ebola hotbed in Africa to begin with and had Barry’s incompetent lackeys not downplayed the danger of bringing Ebola victims to America the virus would still be alien to the U.S.A. Ironically, this could not have happened at a worse time for Obama with another electoral "shellacking" looming and now the Democrat propaganda machine is frantically flying into action.

The cesspool of keening, orange bellied liberal cyber-swine, Daily Kos had Obama’s back in a post “Obama explains Ebola to the fear-based, freaked-out public in weekly address” and a coordinated effort is now in the works. The most critical aspect of the domestic Ebola outbreak now is how to best control the message in the waning days before the elections.  Democratic party operatives are already attacking Republicans as racists responsible for spreading an Ebola panic in order to score political points but that is just total crap. Not that the Republicans aren't racists - they are - but the Dems are equally rotten with selectively playing the race card whenever it suits their political needs.  There are even smears being peddled to attack libertarians such as Rand Paul as being an “Ebola truther” to stifle criticism of Obama. The desperation from the red jackass party is intense and growing by the minute. Any downplaying of the threat of the virus is all sleazy politics to keep the Senate under Harry Reid’s corrupt leadership and the dogs of impeachment at bay.

This is why Sunday morning’s propaganda circuit features Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases on all five major networks to assure the sheep that all is under control. The elections were likely a key concern in Obama’s appointment of longtime Democrat political hack, Ron Klain as Ebola czar despite the inconvenient truth that he has no medical background. It’s all about keeping the lid on things until after November 4^th and avoiding the loss of the Senate. If Ebola is going to go national, it just needs to wait until after the votes have been cast. That's the way that the administration sees it.

So don’t worry, be happy and vote for a Democrat.
