Dispatch from Ferguson: “They’re going to burn the city down”

The unrest is beginning again in Ferguson, Missouri - not that it ever really ended. Following up the shooting of a police officer on Saturday night there were eight people arrested Monday for allegedly throwing rocks and bottles at cops in a protest outside the police station. Despite what should have been a cooling off period after last month's protests/riots over the shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown, the tension remains and could explode into violence at any time. It is being predicted that the entire thing could blow if the grand jury investigating the shooting exonerates Darren Wilson, the police officer who shot Brown. In an interesting development it was reported that Wilson is now the subject of a second grand jury investigation for alleged brutality during a 2013 drug arrest.

According to a story from the website of the Los Angeles Times entitled "A tense Ferguson fears the worst is yet to come" I excerpt the following:

A tense Ferguson fears the worst is yet to come

Beauty Town has an elaborate video surveillance system that displays 16 angles of the store, but the cameras are better at capturing crime than at preventing it.

The beauty shop has been looted multiple times since a white Ferguson police officer shot an unarmed black man Aug. 9. Last week, during another round of unrest on West Florissant Avenue, a group of young men broke the front windows and raided the shelves and cash register.

Owner Shawn Kim thinks 99% of the people who live around his shop are good people.
For the rest, he’s bought a gun. Just in case.

If the grand jury fails to indict the officer who killed Michael Brown, almost everyone here thinks things will get worse.

“They’re not going to be looting next time,” said Kevin Seltzer, 30, who lives at an apartment complex near where Brown, 18, was shot. “They’re going to burn the city down.”

AND

Tensions rose further Saturday night, when officials said a Ferguson police officer on routine patrol was shot in the arm during a foot chase behind the community center. The unidentified officer was treated and released; the shooter escaped.

A few hours later, not far outside Ferguson’s city limits, an off-duty St. Louis police officer was ambushed on the freeway by one or more gunmen, who shot his car multiple times and escaped, officials said. The officer was injured by broken glass. He was not in uniform and was in his own vehicle; it was unclear whether he was targeted or the victim of a random assault.

Ferguson fears the worst is yet to come, especially if the grand jury does not indict Officer Darren Wilson. A decision is expected in November.

It has been speculated that the grand jury is unlikely to charge Wilson and the objectivity of the group has already been called into question by some.  This sets the table for a conflagration of mayhem and violence of which the August turbulence after Brown's shooting was only a preview. Such a blowup will ultimately be futile, serving only to destroy the property of locals and bring about violence and death as well as to feed the enduring racial resentment in America. There is the question of whether a brutal response by the militarized police will be brought to bear after much criticism over their previous heavy-handed crackdown. This would be a lose-lose situation for all involved and in this writer's personal opinion is unlikely. Some names that come to mind are Rick Perry, Al Sharpton and Ted Cruz.

There will probably be no choice other than to call out the National Guard to restore order but there is the timing of when the grand jury findings will be announced. The first week in November is when the mid-term elections will be held and with the Democrats fighting pitched battle to hold onto the Senate any ugliness in Ferguson will become yet another political football. Obama will do what he usually does which will be nothing and the resulting vacuum of leadership will rapidly be filled by demagogues and race-baiters of the worst type.

Then there is the outside chance that a failure to charge Wilson will spread beyond the St. Louis area into an ugly explosion of pent up anger nationally. We could very soon have a situation similar to the late 1960's and early 1970's where race riots plagued the country. Mix in the growing discontent with a system gone rotten and it could be the perfect storm.

Strange days indeed.

TSA Gestapo Issues Warning on Phony Obama Terror Group Khorasan

The top dog of America's airport Gestapo forces, the Transportation Security Agency (TSA) has issued a bogeyman alert over the phony "terrorist" group Khorasan. Never mind that the existence of the crazier than ISIS (ISIL, IS) Muslim marauders has already been debunked as more political trickery by Obama to scare the bejesus out of Americans. The government is still selling Khorosan past it's expiration date in order to capitalize on America's first workplace beheading and the possibility that old men with cane swords may be lurking in the aisle seats.

According to The Hill in a story entitled "TSA chief: Khorasan a threat to US flights":

Transportation Security Administration chief John Pistole said Friday that the Khorasan Group, an al Qaeda cell in northern Syrian, represented "a clear and present danger" to commercial flights to Europe and the United States.

"The stakes are real and the threats are high," Pistole told to members of the Aero Club, an organization that promotes the aviation industry, at a luncheon. "I see the Khorasan Group as being a very capable, determined enemy who was very much focused on getting somebody or something on a plane bound for Europe or the United States."

With about 275 airports worldwide with direct flights to the U.S., heightened security measures are being implemented at "a couple dozen" airports in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, targeting those that might be used by a terrorist to fly to the U.S, he said.

The top aviation security noted that U.S. airstrikes this week against the militant group were intended to disrupt an "imminent attack or attack entering the last phases of execution."

That horseshit all worked very well ten years ago but with the rise in social media bogus terror threats are pretty easily shot down these days. Maybe the Obama regime can bring back the color-coded terror alert charts that became such an embarrassment that they were mothballed. It is very important to put fear into the sheeple right now because the Democrats are terrified that they are going to lose the Senate and Barry has to be horrified over the very real prospect of a deserved impeachment and ouster from the White House.

"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed -- and hence clamorous to be led to safety -- by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary."
- H.L. Mencken

But El Presidente continues his fear-mongering just in time for Halloween. In an epic nationally televised infomercial Obama showed up on CBS's flagship 60 Minutes last night. I am old enough to actually remember when 60 Minutes was a real news program instead of the zombie incarnation of the current era where it has become a ratings obsessed venue for government lies and celebrity swill. I excerpt from the transcript of Obama's interview (bracketed dialogue is mine]:

Steve Kroft: A lot of things going on in the world right now. A lot of them bad. You run into people on the street and they say the world is falling apart. You got Syria. You've got Iraq. You've got Ukraine. You've got Ebola. Is this the most difficult period of your presidency, the biggest challenge of your presidency, this period we're in right now?

[Translation: Nice job of fucking everything up O-bozo - how did that team of rivals thing work out for you?]

President Obama: It's a significant period. But if you think about what I walked into when I came into office, we had not only two wars still active, but we also had a world financial system, that was becoming unraveling. And we were losing 800,000 jobs a month. So you know, we've had challenges before, and we've overcome them. That's not to downplay the serious challenges that we do face right now, mostly internationally.

[Groan... there he goes blaming Bush again. Listen buddy, you own this mess now so stop whining. Who would have ever thought that the Bushreich would one day be looked back upon wistfully?]

"This is not America against ISIL. This is America leading the international community to assist a country..."

[The "international community" including the predominant sponsors of radical Islamic terrorism in Saudi Arabia]

AND

Steve Kroft: I understand all the caveats about these regional groups. But this is an army of 40,000 people, according to some of the military estimates I heard the other day, very well-trained, very motivated.

President Obama: Well, part of it was that...

[The teleprompter must have crashed..]

Steve Kroft: What? How did they end up where they are in control of so much territory? Was that a complete surprise to you?

[Hey... I was playing golf...]

President Obama: Well I think, our head of the intelligence community, Jim Clapper, has acknowledged that I think they underestimated what had been taking place in Syria.

[Sure, why not trust the word of a serial perjurer?]

"And when trouble comes up anywhere in the world, they don't call Beijing. They don't call Moscow. They call us."

[Yes, "they call us" many things, for example "the Great Satan"]

Steve Kroft: I mean, he didn't say that, just say that, we underestimated ISIL. He said, we overestimated the ability and the will of our allies, the Iraqi army, to fight.
President Obama: That's true. That's absolutely true. And I...

[Just say it Obama - you underestimated them after you armed them]

AND

Steve Kroft: You've got midterm elections coming up. Are you going to get shellacked?

[Bent over and butt-fucked would be a more accurate description]

President Obama: Well...

[Whoops, the teleprompter crashed again]

Steve Kroft: Or do you think that, I mean, are you optimistic? What are the issues and what are you going to tell the American people?

[Time to get out the hip-waders]

President Obama: Here's what I'm going to tell the American people. When I came into office, our economy was in crisis. We had unemployment up at 10 percent. It's now down to 6.1. We've had the longest run of uninterrupted private sector job growth in our history. We have seen deficits cut by more than half. Corporate balance sheets are probably the best they've been in the last several decades. We are producing more energy than we have before. We are producing more clean energy than we ever have before. I can put my record against any leader around the world in terms of digging ourselves out of a terrible, almost unprecedented financial crisis. Ronald Reagan used to ask the question, "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" In this case, are you better off than you were in six? And the answer is, the country is definitely better off than we were when I came into office, but now we have to make sure...

[What a bullshit artist, as if name-dropping Reagan is going to excuse all of his incompetence]

Steve Kroft: Do you think people will feel that?

[The Democrats have an army of gullible suckers although it is dwindling daily]

President Obama: They don't feel it. And the reason they don't feel it is because incomes and wages are not going up. There are solutions to that. If we raise the minimum wage, if we make sure women are getting paid the same as men for doing the same work, if we are rebuilding our infrastructure, if we're doing more to invest in job training so people are able to get the jobs that are out there right now, because manufacturing is coming back to this country. Not just the auto industry that we've saved, but you're starting to see reinvestment here in the United States. Businesses around the world are saying for the first time in a long time, "The place to invest isn't in China. It's the United States."

[China sure is "investing" in the United States, thanks to Obama and his slimy Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner we are in hock up to our ass to them]

Steve Kroft: Do you think you can hold the Senate?
[Can pigs fly?]

President Obama: Yes. I do.

[Cut that man off! He has exceeded his alcohol limit]

Steve Kroft: You think you can sell this.

[Are there still enough suckers out there who will bite on "hope and change" hogwash?]

President Obama: You know what?

[I have an inkling that they are beginning to suspect that I suck]

Steve Kroft: You think you can convince people that they're doing fine, economically?

[Banker bonuses have never been better and the parties on the Hamptons and Martha's Vineyard will be like Roman orgies this year]

President Obama: Hopefully, they get a chance to hear the argument, because all I'm doing is presenting the facts.

Yep Mr. President, just like Khorasan or for that matter "hope" and "change". As the late P.T. Barnum once nailed it: "there is a sucker born every minute" and they breed like rabbits in America these days. How else could a two-bit shit salesman like Obama have ever been elected as president?

Swinish Boehner Calls for Boots on the Ground in Syria

The American political class enjoys many perks as our so-called elected representatives. There is of course the regular paycheck, enough paid vacation time to make even European socialists envious, great health insurance and a generous retirement package after a minimal qualifying period. All on the taxpayer dole too and that doesn't count the paid junkets, free meals and high paid lobbying gigs that await thanks to the revolving door between Washington and private industry. If a politician is prominent enough, they also are able to land face time in the media with the top honor being a regular on the Sunday morning bullshit circuit. Such an honor has made John McCain and Lindsey Graham into the "men" that they are.

John Boehner, the Republican Speaker of the House appeared Sunday on ABC's "This Week" with the cheesy former Bill Clinton flack turned celebrity pundit George Stephanopoulos where he called for American "Boots on the Ground" to combat the fanatical Islamist army ISIS or ISIL or IS. I excerpt from the transcript:

BOEHNER: If the goal is to destroy ISIS, as the president says it is, I don't believe the strategy that he outlined will accomplish that.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Why not?

BOEHNER: At the end of the day, I think it's gonna take more than air strikes to drive them outta there.

At some point somebody's boots have to be on the ground… That's the whole point-
STEPHANOPOULOS: American?

BOEHNER: Listen, the president doesn't want to do that.

If I were the president, I probably wouldn't have talked about what I wouldn't do. And maybe we can get enough of these forces trained to get ‘em on the battlefield. But somebody's boots have to be there.

STEPHANOPOULOS: And if no one else will step up, would you recommend putting American boots on the ground?

BOEHNER: We have no choice. These are barbarians. They intend to kill us. And if we don't destroy them first, we're gonna pay the price.

STEPHANOPOULOS: I know you've said that - assuming you're speaker next year - you'd want to have a vote on a resolution - why not now?

BOEHNER: I'd be happy to.

The president typically in a situation like this would call for an authorization vote and go sell that to the American people and send a resolution to the Hill. The president has not done that. He believes he has authority under existing resolutions to do what he's done.

Boehner is a world class weasel - he will call for a vote but only after the elections so he can save his own worthless ass.  Any 'leader' with a set of stones as well as a respect for American principles would have ensured that congress would have authorized renewed military action. Obama is acting like a king by invoking the 2001 authorization for the use of military force in Iraq in his war on ISIS.  This is a flimsy justification from a pathological liar and the fact that his regime had to actually invent Khorasan, the badder than ISIS group in order to gin up an al Qaeda link shows how this is all about cheap election year politics. Why doesn't Boehner demand some accountability from our Caesar? That is after all his f*cking job because the Constitution vests within congress the power to declare war - and only congress can do so. Boehner and his ilk are only enabling Obama and provided that Republicans are able to win the Senate - which is likely - it will be a charlatan like him who allows Barry to wriggle off of the hook of impeachment for his mounting list of high crimes.

Also it's mighty white of Boehner to volunteer the sons and daughters, husbands and wives and fathers and mothers of Americans up to be fed into the Middle East meat grinder again. He knows damned well that none of his children or grandchildren will end up coming back in a body bag or after being maimed by an IED or even worse, captured and beheaded on You Tube. The political scumbags are always the first to send others into their idiotic wars and they suffer none of the fallout. It should be enough to just continue bombing and to give the Iraqis a swift kick in the ass to fight their own damned battles without sacrificing American blood in another futile cause. The only way that ISIS is going to be eradicated is if the locals are the ones doing the heavy lifting and we see how that has worked out.

As far as "boots on the ground" haven't we heard enough of that overused, focus group tested bumper sticker slogan? Not one of these babbling idiots, from Boehner to Obama and all of the jackasses in between along with their media presstitutes can go longer than ten minutes without invoking the cliche of the year. Why not just cut through the bullshit and call it what it is which is the involvement of U.S. combat troops? My God these people have no shame.

Politicians and government lackeys are also given special status when it comes to skirting those TSA goons at the nation's airports. They never have to endure the humiliation of being forced to remove their shoes, walk over an area teeming with the foot fungus of others nor have their children felt up or grandma being forced to remove her medical diaper. They stand as much chance of being forced to submit to intimidating state thugs as their own kids do of being sent off to fight in one of their wars.

The political class in this country has become the equivalent to royalty and didn't America once fight a revolution to no longer be subjected to the whims of a king and his operatives.

The Obama Khorasan Hoax is Revealed

The Obama administration’s invoking of the ultra-secretive most bad-assed Islamist terrorist group of them all - the mysterious Khorasan – has always smelled funny. That this group - which was hyped to be even worse than ISIS or ISIL or IS or whatever the Hell it is being called on any given day - just appeared out of thin air was very convenient. With the most intrusive and expensive surveillance machine in human history it is absurd to believe that such a group would not be on the U.S. radar yet it is discovered just in  time to justify Obama’s war in Syria. It has seemed like a hoax from the get go.

With the Democrats desperate to hold onto control of the Senate and Obama desperate to prevent being impeached there is nothing that sells like fear in an election year. Liberals squealed until their throats were raw over the Bush administration's politicizing of terrorism yet they are silent now that their boy is engaging in even worse tactics - at least Bush never invented a fake terror group.

Being that Republicans are perceived by voters as tougher on terrorism what better way to deflect Democrat critics than Obama yanking a phantom menace out of his ass and then attacking it for domestic political gain. It has been highly suspect from the day that the media campaign to promote it was launched but as more digging has been done it is now apparent that the entire thing is a massive Obama scam. Just one more of his trademark con jobs to dupe the American people of which there are many. The locals on the ground in Syria question the very existence of Korasan, according to a story in The Washington Post entitled “The strange story behind the ‘Khorasan’ group’s name” . It has all the hallmarks of a U.S. government orchestrated propaganda campaign, there should be laws against stuff like this.

Now, the online magazine The Intercept has a brilliant deconstruction of Obama’s selling of the new bogeyman which is a must read. The piece, written by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Glenn Greenwald is entitled “The Khorasan Group: Anatomy of a Fake Terror Threat to Justify Bombing Syria”. I excerpt the following form the piece:

As the Obama administration prepared to bomb Syria without Congressional or U.N. authorization, it faced two problems. The first was the difficulty of sustaining public support for a new years-long war against ISIS, a group that clearly posed no imminent threat to the “homeland.” A second was the lack of legal justification for launching a new bombing campaign with no viable claim of self-defense or U.N. approval.

The solution to both problems was found in the wholesale concoction of a brand new terror threat that was branded “The Khorasan Group.” After spending weeks depicting ISIS as an unprecedented threat – too radical even for Al Qaeda! – administration officials suddenly began spoon-feeding their favorite media organizations and national security journalists tales of a secret group that was even scarier and more threatening than ISIS, one that posed a direct and immediate threat to the American Homeland. Seemingly out of nowhere, a new terror group was created in media lore.

AND

This Khorasan-attacking-Americans alarm spread quickly and explosively in the landscape of U.S. national security reporting. The Daily Beast‘s Eli Lake warned on September 23 - the day after the first U.S. bombs fell in Syria - that “American analysts had pieced together detailed information on a pending attack from an outfit that informally called itself ‘the Khorasan Group’ to use hard-to-detect explosives on American and European airliners.” He added even more ominously: “The planning from the Khorasan Group … suggests at least an aspiration to launch more-coordinated and larger attacks on the West in the style of the 9/11 attacks from 2001″ (days later, Lake, along with Josh Rogin, actually claimed that “Iran has long been harboring senior al Qaeda, al Nusra, and so-called Khorasan Group leaders as part of its complicated strategy to influence the region”).

AND

So after spending weeks promoting ISIS as Worse Than Al Qaeda™, they unveiled a new, never-before-heard-of group that was Worse Than ISIS™. Overnight, as the first bombs on Syria fell, the endlessly helpful U.S. media mindlessly circulated the script they were given: this new group was composed of “hardened terrorists,” posed an “imminent” threat to the U.S. homeland, was in the “final stages” of plots to take down U.S. civilian aircraft, and could “launch more-coordinated and larger attacks on the West in the style of the 9/11 attacks from 2001.”"

As usual, anonymity was granted to U.S. officials to make these claims. As usual, there was almost no evidence for any of this. Nonetheless, American media outlets – eager, as always, to justify American wars - spewed all of this with very little skepticism. Worse, they did it by pretending that the U.S. Government was trying not to talk about all of this – too secret! – but they, as intrepid, digging journalists, managed to unearth it from their courageous “sources.” Once the damage was done, the evidence quickly emerged about what a sham this all was. But, as always with these government/media propaganda campaigns, the truth emerged only when it’s impotent.

It is a very long piece with many links and it is impossible to do it justice here so go and check it out. It is a perfect analysis of how administration lies are promulgated by the corrupt  mainstream media and it's stable of ass-kissing pundits and treacherous hacks masquerading as reporters.

And don’t forget that King Obama summoned a number of high-profile media figures to the White House before his big speech on the bombings in Iraq and Syria. The guest list according to a story published at the  Huffington Post identified the presstitutes as:

"New York Times columnists David Brooks, Tom Friedman and Frank Bruni and editorial writer Carol Giacomo; The Washington Post's David Ignatius, Eugene Robinson and Ruth Marcus; The New Yorker's Dexter Filkins and George Packer; The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg and Peter Beinart; The New Republic's Julia Ioffe; Columbia Journalism School Dean Steve Coll; The Wall Street Journal's Jerry Seib; and The Daily Beast's Michael Tomasky."

All of whom have been water carriers for the Obama regime and should not be trusted if they tell you that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. They are nothing more than government stenographers but that is how it is with the rancid establishment media in America today.

There may be some level to which that slimy bastard Obama isn’t willing to stoop to but it has yet to be identified.

Cop Shooting in Ferguson Could be a Signal of Renewed Unrest

Memorial to Michael Brown Torched by Vandals

Things may be ready to heat up again in Ferguson, Missouri after a police officer was shot and wounded on Saturday night.  While the tensions have substantially died down after the shooting of an unarmed black teenager in August led to mass protests and the dispatching of militarized police to put down the unrest they have been percolating beneath the surface. Earlier this week a memorial to 18 year old Michael Brown was burned down leading to renewed protests. This is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode and the shooting could be the match that ignites the bonfire if the response is overly aggressive.

According to the Associated Press in a story entitled "Police: Ferguson Officer Shot; 2 Suspects Wanted":

FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) -- A search for two suspects in a St. Louis suburb that's undergone racial unrest continued Sunday after a Ferguson police officer was shot in the arm following an encounter with two men at a community center who ran from him and then opened fire during a foot chase, authorities said.

St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said at a media briefing early Sunday that the officer approached the men around 9:10 p.m. Saturday because the community center was closed. As the officer approached, the men ran away. When the officer gave chase, "one of the men turned and shot," Belmar said.

The officer was shot in the arm and is expected to survive, he said. Belmar did not identify the officer or give further details about his condition. He said the officer returned fire but said police have "no indication" that either suspect was shot.

A search was underway for the suspects early Sunday in Ferguson, where some community members remain uneasy in the wake of the August shooting death of an unarmed black 18-year-old by a white police officer.

Belmar said he did not think the officer's shooting was related to two separate protests about Michael Brown's shooting that were going on Saturday night around the same time.

Around midnight at the police station, approximately two dozen officers stood near a group of about 100 protesters who mingled on a street corner, occasionally shouting, "No justice; no peace."
Nearby, part of a road was closed in town as police conducted a search for the suspects. Numerous law enforcement agencies were responding, and police helicopters were canvassing the area.

The officer's shooting comes after Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson issued a videotaped apology to Brown's family earlier in the week and attempted to march with protesters, an effort that led to a clash with activists and several arrests on Thursday.

Things are rapidly falling apart in the United States these days. The president is a fool, the outgoing Attorney General is a stone cold fascist, the entire system has been hijacked by scumbags and is rotten to the core with corruption. We are entering yet another endless war in the Middle East and the economy is a house of cards that could collapse at any given moment.  The spirit of fear and loathing rage through the land in a manner unseen since the 1960's and early 1970's and on Friday we had America's first workplace beheading.

It conjures up that famous old Chinese curse: may you live in interesting times.

Big Sister on List of Potential Replacements for Departing Eric Holder

The news of Attorney General Eric Holder's surprise resignation on Thursday continues to reverberate throughout the media. To many the departure of Obama's savage legal hatchet man from the nation's top cop gig was cause for celebration. Holder's hostility towards journalistswhistleblowers and the abuse of the World War I era relic that is the Espionage Act of 1917 underlined his seething contempt towards institutional accountability. Of course Holder was only doing the bidding of Obama whose own lawlessness has expanded the scope of executive power to that of a king. Holder was a swine, one of the worst to have ever held the position. He never failed to use his power to protect the abuses of his boss Obama and potential high-rolling backers of the Democratic party.

Under Holder not one of the degenerate gamblers at the Wall Street casinos who imploded the economy in 2008 went to jail - not one of the motherfuckers. Holder preferred to spend his time engaging in personal crusades against racial injustice whether it existed or was invented. The Democrats love identity group politics, it is like mother's milk to them. It has always been a given the Republicans are chock a block with racists who may as well be card carrying members of the KKK but if you look closely, the Dems are playing the same game with their pandering to non-whites, the LGBT demographic and women. This is disgusting but the majority of people who buy it are incapable of realizing that they are being played by a cynical political party that threw the working class under the bus decades ago. Democrats love war, mass surveillance, torture and drone strikes on wedding parties now that it is their guy in the White House yet they squealed like pigs for Bush's head on a pike for far less than what  Obama is allowed to get away with. It is pretty evident that his skin color has been a dastardly distraction to disguise a lawless fascist warmonger and crony capitalist as some kind of champion of the people.

Holder could always be relied on to find a racial angle to everything and glom onto it, the latest example being in Ferguson after the militarized police response. Holder as well as Democrats fail to understand that whenever they play the race card for political gain that it only serves to harm the victims of real racism - but being Democrats they just don't give a rat's ass as long as it gets them votes. The man was a fraud of the highest order. He was so crooked that he had to screw his pants on every morning. After his last day on the job there needs to be a massive fumigation tent dropped over the Robert F. Kennedy building to remove the stench of his despicable tenure.

The immediate aftermath of Holder's announcement will have the usual jockeying for position to be his replacement. The media ringmasters of American's political circus - or more appropriately America's carnival of perversion - will spend days gossiping and pontificating on who will next fill the spot. Considering the Democrats need to pander to the array of squabbling identity groups, particularly with elections looming the only disqualifying factor would be a white male. Democrats also need to immunize some other amoral scumbag from what will be withering Senate confirmation hearings so  the smart money may be on Obama picking a woman. With Queen Hillary waiting in the wings it would be good for the party to reinforce the phony "war on women" narrative. Could it be that former DHS boss Janet "Big Sis" Napolitano will get the nod?

Whoever Obama picks will be someone who will continue to cover up his administration's high crimes as well as to continue to enable our power drunk emperor. In a story from The Guardian that is entitled "Holder's potential replacements are all Obama's pals. Could any get confirmed?" it is stated that:

The former head of the Department of Homeland Security and current president of the University of California system would be another classic Obama choice, as they’ve worked together and she’s already been confirmed by the Senate. Napolitano would, however, generate more Republican opposition in the Senate than the anodyne Verrilli, or perhaps anyone this side of Hillary Clinton. A DHS memo about right-wing extremism would set off the wingnut skree machine, and there would also be extensive Republican complaints about “border security” – not to mention howls of “Big Sis”.

The story also names Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and current Solicitor General Donald Verilli as potential choices. There is always the possibility as well for the fascist extremist Cass Sunstein to be thrown into the mix but he seems destined for the Supreme Court, particularly if Hitlery is elected in 2016.

The Washington political website, The Hill ranks Napolitano as number two on their list of "Five Candidates to Replace Holder":

2.) Janet Napolitano

The former Arizona governor, state attorney general and federal prosecutor was said to be interested in replacing Holder at DOJ when she was still serving as Obama’s Homeland Security secretary. But Holder stayed and on and Napolitano left Washington last year to take a lucrative job as the first female president of the massive University of California system.

She unquestionably has the resume to lead the DOJ: former President Clinton appointed her U.S. Attorney for Arizona in 1993, and she later successfully ran for Arizona attorney general and governor in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Napolitano endorsed Obama over Hillary Clinton in 2008 — even though Clinton's husband had helped launch her political career — and Obama brought Napolitano into his Cabinet as DHS secretary.

It may be extremely difficult to get "Big Sis" through the Senate though. It would be akin trying to shove an enormous greased pig through a very narrow chute but she would be absolutely perfect for the times. With Obama's new Middle East war - and I still harbor doubts that his bombings are for anything other than political reasons - it is important to  to quash dissent and outside of Holder there is nobody better than Napolitano. During her tenure at Homeland Security she was instrumental in selling the "If you See Something Say Something" campaign that encouraged Americans to rat out their friends and neighbors. It was under Napolitano that a deal was reached with Wal-Mart to actually use the televisions by the check out stands to air propaganda pieces to promote the program which drew much criticism at the time.
In a nation of rats there has been no greater champion of snitching on your neighbor - Nazi style - than Big Sis.

She is probably a long shot though. Far too many people are onto her after the stint at Homeland Security and her fat ass would be smacked around like an ugly pinata during hearings. That may not stop Obama as there are rumblings that he will be doing his damned best to push through the new A.G. in a blitzkrieg move . Harry Reid did after all change the rules last year and this would be the perfect opportunity to ensure that some fascist would be installed while Dems still hold a majority.  The Republicans, in anticipation of such chicanery are already digging in and sternly warning Obama to not try to ram through Holder's replacement during the "lame duck" period after the Dems get creamed on November 4th.

The king will be desperate to get one of his cronies in place before the control of the Senate officially flips with the swearing in of the next Congress because he needs impeachment protection insurance. Don't be surprised to see Obama using the bully pulpit to demagogue about how any delay in replacing Holder is going to make the country vulnerable to being attacked by terrorists. This could work too given the general air of jumpiness and unease over the Muslim menace that the administration has been hyping with their warnings about the badder than ISIS group named Khorasan. It is an obvious hoax though because according to the locals on the ground in Syria the group has never been heard of which should set off bullshit detectors in a functional democracy. The satirical website  The Onion is running a piece entitled "Obama Informs Nation Anarchy Will Reign During Search For New Attorney General":

Obama, who issued a stern warning to the U.S. populace that frenzied and unrestrained mayhem will grip every corner of the country, stressed that federal laws would soon hold no meaning and that uncontrollable mobs would rampage in every American city, where he said blood would accumulate in great pools in the streets until a successor for Holder is nominated from a list of suitable candidates and subsequently confirmed by the Senate.

“I am saddened to accept the resignation of Attorney General Eric Holder. He held his office with honor and served his country admirably, and as we begin the difficult task of replacing him, I want the American people to understand that the country is now poised to erupt into a vicious maelstrom of horror ungoverned by the laws of man,” said the president, urging citizens to trust no one and to stay in their homes while bedlam consumes the nation. “With a leadership void in the Department of Justice, there is no question that utter chaos and disorder will prevail and our formerly rule-bound society will descend into a cutthroat free-for-all. That is, until this administration and both sides of Congress agree on a replacement.”

It would be right up that slimy bastard's alley to engage in such fear-mongering while he is down in the White House basement huddling with his advisory team. What the ideal candidate must possess is not only a certain allure to the Democratic party base but also a reluctance to prosecute Wall Street financial gangsters as well as a fondness for the aforementioned Espionage Act. What we will not get is a figure of anything that gets within ten miles of integrity.

Kind of makes one wistful for John Ashcroft and Alberto "Torquemada" Gonzalez doesn't it?
