The Best Foreign Policy Money Can Buy

With the resurgent neocons and the heads of the warfare state in the feckless President Barack Obama and his pet stammering buffoon John "Skull and Bones" Kerry up to their asses in Ukranian neo-Nazis and a corporate putsch that will put missiles on Russia's border the future seems very bleak today. You don't just pick a fight with a nuclear power especially one that is not borne out of necessity but rather of corporate greed and doing so with the US backed toppling of a democratically elected leader in Kiev to poke a finger in Vladimir Putin's eye and make some dough in the process is a yet one more damning indictment of exactly what sort of lunatics are running the star-spangled lemming asylum. However, in the new American century of The Homeland things can always get worse and given the systemic nature of the rottenness as well as the now apparent inability to ever, every fix anything they assuredly will. The elections are coming soon and with the brand of team blue jackass being as sullied by the diaper dumping Obama and his incompetent administration as surely as that of team red elephant was by George W. Bush's wars - at home and abroad the stars are aligning for that permanent one party Republican rule that Karl Rove likely masturbated himself to sleep at night for years fantasizing about.
With the Democrats and their political agenda a smoking wreck just waiting for that hit amidships that will finally put it out of its misery the torpedoes are being prepped. They can trot out the putative queen in waiting Hillary Rodham Clinton who has long been predicted by the so-called experts as imminent the Bush family legacy has been dug out of that vat of pigshit from which it was immersed in by the wastrel son Dubya and his being hosed off and given a new coat of paint. The potential opponents to Mrs. Clinton are comprised of the usual pack of half-wits, loony religious fanatics, charlatans, opportunists and what appears to be the biggest flame out of a gasbag in New Jersey since the Hindenburg crash. This leaves the door wide open for the not that long ago unthinkable return of the Bush crime family to the national political scene with what is much to the horror of those who believe that America should not be about dynasties and royal political family rule which would be a Hillary Clinton vs. Jeb Bush steel cage death match in 2016.
Over the weekend Bush was one of the four Republican hopefuls who made a pilgrimage to Las Vegas to audition for one Sheldon Adelson, the casino magnate and one of the richest men on the planet. Shelly you see is rich beyond his wildest dreams and while all of his money will not spare from his ultimate fate of roasting on a spit in the bowels of Hades he can see his dream - a nuclear war on Iran - fulfilled in his waning years. Adelson, an intimate friend of the unhinged bully Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu is even more determined to pull this off after his bad bets in 2012 in which he placed tens of millions of dollars on two of the biggest fools and losers ever to have appeared on our lamentable political state in Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney. Adelson will not be burned again and this is why he exploited the annual Republican Jewish Coalition meeting over the weekend as his own personal marketplace to size up the quality of prospective meat puppets of which to any rational observer Jeb Bush was the proverbial cream of the crop. It was a disgusting example of how American politics are now sold to the highest bidder, whether it be the loathsome Obama and Clinton schmoozing with Hollywood types and hedge fund hyenas, the fake libertarian Koch Brothers buying up the political system or a man whose Holy Grail in life is having America do the dirty work as well as take the blowback for a foreign country.
The Adelson beauty show for political prostitutes doesn't get much play in the state-corporate media except for the Washington Post's war wench Jennifer Rubin's thinly veiled accusations of anti-Semitism in her latest screed entitled  "So much outrage, such a double standard for a pro-Israel group" from which I excerpt:
Matthew Dowd on ABC’s “This Week” roundtable made the following comment regarding a former United Nations ambassador and three governors’ appearances at the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) meeting in Las Vegas: “I just think it’s ridiculous that these candidates for president are trumping out to Las Vegas to go kiss the ring of a billionaire casino owner and they think that’s somehow going help them get elected president.”
This is distasteful in the extreme, and it is highly unfortunately that no one on the panel chose to challenge him.
It is typical cowardly neocon McCarthyism but they so often played the "anti-Semite" card for so long on so many to make it lose it's once enormous potency, not that long ago screaming "anti-Semite" was the most kick ass club in the bag for the neocons and other flotsam and jetsam of the Israel lobby but there is little to no effectiveness these days with a rise of calling out Netanyahu's regime for human rights violations. But Rubin has zero credibility other than as an example of the dreck that is now the top product line over at the Washington Post and a damned good (or bad) one at that. And as far as Jenny baby's comment that it is "it is highly unfortunately that no one on the panel chose to challenge him" I am still waiting for a leader of an American Jewish organization or a prominent Israel Lobby figure to ask one question about those neo-Nazi anti-Semites that the US is backing in Ukraine.
I would put far more credence in the commentary of that old warhorse Pat Buchanan who while I may not agree with him on everything (or very much at all for that matter outside of a non-interventionist foreign policy) who calls it as it is in his column on Adelson entitled "The War Party Oligarch" from which I also excerpt:

Is the Republican Party’s Middle East policy up for bid?
For four days ending Sunday, a quartet of presidential hopefuls trooped to Las Vegas to attend the annual gathering of the Republican Jewish Coalition.
Impresario: Sheldon Adelson, the Vegas-Macau casino mogul whose fortune is estimated at $39 billion – 8th richest man on the planet – and who dumped $92 million into the election of 2012.
Adelson kept Newt Gingrich alive with a $15 million infusion of ad money, gutting Romney, and then sank $30 million into Mitt’s campaign.
This time Sheldon wants to buy himself a winner.
AND
The 2016 presidential hopefuls “are falling at his feet,” said a veteran Republican strategist of the 80-year-old oligarch. Each of those who came – Bush, Chris Christie, and Govs. Scott Walker and John Kasich – apparently auditioned, one by one, before the godfather.
In 2016, says Adelson’s top political adviser Andy Abboud, Sheldon’s “bar for support is going to be much higher. … There’s going to be a lot more scrutiny.”
Guess that means no more Newts.
Victor Chaltiel, a major donor and Adelson friend who sits on the board of Las Vegas Sands, tells us Sheldon “doesn’t want a crazy extremist to be the nominee.” Adds Shawn Steel, a big California GOP money man, Sheldon is a “very rational guy.”
Perhaps. But last fall at Yeshiva University, this “very rational guy” gave this response to a question from Rabbi Shmuley Boteach on whether he supports U.S. negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program:
“No. What do you mean support negotiations? What are we going to negotiate about? What I would say is, ‘Listen, you see that desert out there, I want to show you something.’ … You pick up your cell phone and you call somewhere in Nebraska and you say, ‘OK let it go.’
“So, there’s an atomic weapon, goes over ballistic missiles, the middle of the desert, that doesn’t hurt a soul. Maybe a couple of rattlesnakes, and scorpions, or whatever.
“And then you say, ‘See! The next one is in the middle of Tehran. So, we mean business. You want to be wiped out? Go ahead and take a tough position and continue with your nuclear development.
“‘You want to be peaceful. Just reverse it all, and we will guarantee that you can have a nuclear power plant for electricity purposes, energy purposes.’”
Adelson’s response was recorded by Philip Weiss of Mondoweiss website who was at Yeshiva and filmed the interview. Weiss says the audience cheered Adelson’s proposed nuclear strike on Iran and no one on the stage, not Wall Street Journal columnist Bret Stephens, peeped a word of dissent.
And this is a “very rational guy,” who doesn’t want “a crazy extremist to be the nominee”?
This is someone Republican presidential candidates must appease, if they don’t want tens of millions in attack ads run against them?
This is someone the Republican presidential hopefuls must hearken to now?
To answer Buchanan's question: yes. This is what happens when a political party that has clung to the over inflated revisionist history of a mummified Ronald Reagan for decades. The failure to actually stand for something and to put what is best for America over the worship of a political party and those who bankroll it no matter how loathsome it is no surprise that the top qualification for the nomination is to win the audition so that Sheldon Adelson can be their pimp.
Given the Vegas embarrassment at the Republican Jewish Coaltion gathering that Adelson hijacked it is now very apparent why Rand Paul and other libertarians are reviled by the Big Kahunas - they actually have principles.
