Atlanta Airport Protester: The CDC is Lying

As America continues to react to the news about the first domestic victim of the Ebola virus the professional damage control teams are scrambling to avoid a mass panic. The infected, a man from Liberia named Thomas Eric Duncan who was visiting his girlfriend in Dallas when he fell ill was initially sent home by a local hospital allowing him to spend days where he could have spread the virus. This could be big trouble in the U.S.A. especially when considering that children who were exposed to Duncan went to school where they were in contact with hundreds of other kids.

When you live in a country where lies and government propaganda have reduced the credibility of the establishment to pretty much zero - unless you happen to be a gullible fool - it is naive and silly to expect that our rulers would suddenly begin telling the truth. This is particularly so with the potential for the spread of the Ebola virus and the very serious economic damage that cold result were there to be a widespread outbreak. So the government does what it does best, it goes into spin mode, tries to manage the reaction and according to one story buys 160,000 HazMat suits.

In a protest for these dire times a doctor showed up at Atlanta's international airport, a major transportation hub in a protective suit to spread awareness about government disinformation over Ebola. According to a story from the website of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution entitled "Doctor dons Ebola protection suit to protest ‘asleep at the wheel’ CDC":

Two days after a man in Texas was diagnosed with Ebola, a Missouri doctor Thursday morning showed up at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport dressed in protective gear to protest what he called mismanagement of the crisis by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Dr. Gil Mobley checked in and cleared airport security wearing a mask, goggles, gloves, boots and a hooded white jumpsuit emblazoned on the back with the words, “CDC is lying!”

“If they’re not lying, they are grossly incompetent,” said Mobley, a microbiologist and emergency trauma physician from Springfield, Mo.

Mobley said the CDC is “sugar-coating” the risk of the virus spreading in the United States.
Efforts to reach a CDC spokesperson for comments on Mobley’s criticism have been unsuccessful.
For them to say last week that the likelihood of importing an Ebola case was extremely small was a real bad call,” he said.

“Once this disease consumes every third world country, as surely it will, because they lack the same basic infrastructure as Sierra Leone and Liberia, at that point, we will be importing clusters of Ebola on a daily basis,” Mobley predicted. “That will overwhelm any advanced country’s ability to contain the clusters in isolation and quarantine. That spells bad news.”

Mobley, a Medical College of Georgia graduate who had an overnight layover after flying to Atlanta from Guatemala on Wednesday, said that he feels that the CDC is “asleep at the wheel” when it comes to screening passengers arriving in the United States from other countries.

“Yesterday, I came through international customs at the Atlanta airport,” the doctor told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “The only question they asked arriving passengers is if they had tobacco or alcohol.”

That Dr. Mobley was able to pass through security wearing a protective suit is not only astonishing given the Soviet Bloc style checkpoints that travelers are subjected to but also an indictment of the incompetence of the TSA.  While the government goons are busily feeling up small children and making elderly women take off their medical diapers, a man whose inspiration may have been the movie Twelve Monkeys is able to go about his business unmolested.

Is there any wonder why faith in government competence is at an all time low?

Obama's Ebola Nation

Bad news has become as American as apple pie under the rule of El Presidente Barack Obama and the latest slice comes topped off with a big scoop of the Ebola virus. Last week we had our nation’s first workplace beheading and this week we have our first confirmed domestic case of Ebola. The infected, a man named Thomas Eric Duncan is reportedly a resident of Liberia, the African cesspool that is teeming with the deadly illness and was visiting his girlfriend in Texas when he became ill. Duncan went to a Dallas hospital after experiencing symptoms including fever and abdominal pain and was sent home with antibiotics only to return days later. The pills didn't work and Duncan was picked up by an ambulance two days later. Witnesses in the apartment complex said that he was seen violently vomiting as he was packed into the emergency vehicle according to a Reuters story "Dallas Ebola patient vomited outside apartment on way to hospital".

God only knows how many people were potentially exposed to the virus but we will likely soon find out.

America's first diagnosed Ebola victim is contained, but three things are still spreading: fear, frustration and the search for his contacts.

While Thomas Eric Duncan remains in serious but stable condition at a Dallas hospital, some parents are scared to take their kids to the schools that his girlfriend's children attended.

Others are upset at the hospital where Duncan first sought care, which sent him home and raised the possibility he could infect others for at least two additional days.

As the search continues for those Duncan had contact with, here's the latest on how the case is affecting others:

'I just got scared'

Duncan was in Dallas visiting his girlfriend, Liberian community leader Stanley Gaye said.
Among the people he encountered: his girlfriend's five children, Gaye said.

Dallas Independent School District Superintendent Mike Miles said the patient came in contact with five students who attended four different schools in the area.
Sam Tasby Middle School is one of those schools.

"I just got scared because I thought that that kid came to that school and probably got contact with him," said Nellie Catalan, whose child attends the middle school.
"I know it doesn't get (spread) by the air, but you never know."

More than 3,500 students attend the four schools. Each is getting cleaned and sanitized over the next few days.

Student Denise Trujillo said she's still worried.

"I don't feel like going to school tomorrow," she said.

While the five students who were near Duncan are staying home and being monitored, their schools will remain open.

The absolute worst place – other than an airport – where a contagious illness has the most possibility of generating  mass infection would be a school. Anybody who has ever worked in an office environment with people who have children understands this as whenever a kid gets sick mommy brings it into to work and contaminates half the office. We had all better hope that the children of Duncan’s girlfriend did not contact Ebola and spread it to their classmates. I can understand why the schools will be open in that creating a panic in a paranoid and jumpy country would be the last thing that we need but it ill serves the public even if the students are being “cleaned and sanitized”.

This is another flaming bag of dogshit that Obama has parked on our national doorstep. His crusade against Ebola that he bragged about during that shameless speech he gave at the United Nations last week is yet another of his totally unnecessary disasters. One that is going to bite us all in the ass sooner rather than later. It was stupid to bring those two aid workers to the U.S. for Ebola treatment in August because it established a precedent. Then Obama ordered the U.S. military into Liberia to set up shop to fight Ebola, a move the cynics would believe has ulterior motives in the convenient excuse to set up yet another American military operation in a foreign country. Much of Obama's foreign meddling under the guise of humanitarianism likely comes from batshit crazy UN Ambassador Samantha Power . Power, who is the wife of the fascist Cass Sunstein is a woman whose panties probably get moist every time that billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars can be used to project power abroad when the money is badly needed here at home.
Some food for thought comes from the libertarian financial blog Zero Hedge in a piece entitled “How Bad Could It Get? US Government Order Of 160,000 HazMat Suits Gives A Clue” from which I excerpt:

Now that Ebola is officially in the US on an uncontrolled basis, the two questions on everyone's lips are i) who will get sick next and ii) how bad could it get?

We don't know the answer to question #1 just yet, but when it comes to the second one, a press release three weeks ago from Lakeland Industries, a manufacturer and seller of a "comprehensive line of safety garments and accessories for the industrial protective clothing market" may provide some insight into just how bad the US State Department thinks it may get. Because when the US government buys 160,000 hazmat suits specifically designed against Ebola, just ahead of the worst Ebola epidemic in history making US landfall, one wonders: what do they know the we don't?

The story has a link to the Lakeland Industries press release. The website Business Insider reports that “Shares Of Hazmat Suit Company Surged 30% After The First Case Of Ebola Confirmed In The US”.
As a man once said “never let a good crisis go to waste”. An Ebola outbreak, or the threat of one will benefit both those seeking to cash in as well as a government that seeks to massively expand its power.

This could get really ugly really fast. Were I not an atheist I would strongly suspect that Obama is God's curse upon us.
