Unhinged Lindsey Graham Blames China For Sony Hacking

Senator Lindsey Graham has developed a reputation for being somewhat of a hysteric over the years and Sunday morning’s appearance on CNN’s State of the Union was a testament to the bizarre nature of the Palmetto State princess. John McCain’s little buddy spewed nonstop nonsense to hostess Dana Bash, the temporary replacement for the insipid blathering sow Candy Crowley who left the network earlier this month. Graham’s interview was a tour de force of bullshit that ran the gamut from him blaming China for the Sony hack for which North Korea was fingered to calling for Republican leaders to back Obama’s amnesty for illegals and even a hint at a possible 2016 presidential run.

According to a story from the website of CNN entitled “Graham suspects China involved in Sony attack”:

Sen. Lindsey Graham hinted at China's involvement in the North Korean cyberattack on Sony Pictures and called for additional U.S. action against North Korea to make the hermit kingdom "feel the pain that is due."

"I can't imagine anything this massive happening in North Korea without China being involved or at least knowing about it," Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, told CNN's Dana Bash on "State of the Union."

Graham called for more sanctions against the regime and said President Barack Obama should put North Korea back on the list of state sponsors of terrorism, something Obama is currently reviewing.

The Republican senator gave Obama rare kudos for the President's handling of the North Korean affair so far.

"So far so good, Mr. President," Graham said, despite adding that Obama should have labeled the attack as cyberterrorism and not "cybervandalism," as Obama called the hack in a CNN interview last week.

"What's happened here it shows how exposed we are in America to cyberattack," Graham said. "If North Korea can do this to a major corporation in America, what can other people do to our country."

So where it he proof? How many times are these sleazy career political hacks allowed to just show up and pull wild accusations out of their asses with nothing to back them up? McCain and former House Intelligence Committee boss Mike Rogers are both notorious for such things while the celebrity hosts never call them on any of it. What is said on these shows unfortunately drives the week’s official propaganda and once chopped up into bite-sized McNews McNuggets is what is fed to the populace. This is what happens when there is no longer any such thing as legitimate, objective and hard-hitting journalism practiced in America. Herr Goebbels would be proud especially when a foreign corporation like Sony is constantly trotted out as being as American as apple pie by tools like Graham and his ilk.

Graham is always a go to guy for the media whenever a prominent "Republican" is needed to defend big government such as the surveillance and warfare states. He is singing from the same hymnal as the rest of the fascists in Congress and the White House who are readying a new iteration of a cybersecurity bill that will further undermine privacy rights in this country early in 2015. The blaming of North Korea for the overhyped “terrorist” threats against movie theaters showing the film "The Interview" and now the floating of the trial balloon that China is behind it all will only be used as further justification for the undermining of civil liberties. But again, nobody ever calls these guys on any of this crap so whatever monster is now being built in the NSA and Pentagon laboratories will soon be unleashed on a helpless and propagandized populace who inhabit the world’s biggest lemming colony.

Principled conservatives had a shot at dethroning Graham but blew it when they were unable to rally around a solid opponent last June. Graham then was easily reelected to a third Senate term where he will be an indispensable member of the Mitch McConnell coalition that is assembled to cut deals with Emperor Obama – especially on mass surveillance to lock down the fascist state.

Shameless, just shameless.

North Korea Mocks Narcissist Obama as "Monkey in a Tropical Forest"

Following a relentless propaganda campaign that induced hordes of gullible schmucks to show their “patriotism” by going to see a tasteless movie on Christmas, the mighty Wurlitzers are purring again this morning.  In comments attributed to the North Korean regime of the petulant Kim Jong Un – whose mock assassination was the centerpiece of the movie The Interview – Emperor Barack Obama has been called out as a “monkey”. The blistering denunciation of Dear Leader comes along with a denial that the Un regime had any responsibility in the Sony hacking caper despite being targeted by the mainstream media’s holiday edition of the “two minutes hate”. It is a sentiment that is being echoed by cybersecurity experts that makes it increasingly likely that the Obama regime was behind the entire affair – or at least the co-opting of the hack for the purpose of demonizing North Korea.

While the translations differ somewhat in what was actually said about Mr. Obama - “a monkey living in a tropical forest” is the most widely reported - it is sure to feed right into the bread and butter of the administration which is racial politics. While skeptical liberals may not have been onboard with dressing themselves up in red, white and blue garb and filling theaters to strike a blow for the financial interests of a Japanese corporation they will eat the “money” remarks up. Sad that it has come to where racism is so easily exploited for cheap political gain here in The Homeland and it has done nothing but contribute to an already toxic mix of social problems, particularly in the aftermath of Ferguson.

As reported by AFP via Yahoo News via in a story entitled “N. Korea calls Obama 'monkey', blames US for blackout”:

North Korea on Saturday called US President Barack Obama a "monkey" for inciting cinemas to screen a comedy featuring a fictional plot to kill its leader, and blamed Washington for an Internet blackout this week.

The isolated dictatorship's powerful National Defence Commission (NDC) threatened "inescapable deadly blows" over the film and accused the US of "disturbing the Internet operation" of North Korean media outlets.

The Internet outage triggered speculation that US authorities may have launched a cyber-attack in retaliation for the hacking of Sony Pictures -- the studio behind madcap North Korea comedy "The Interview".

Washington has said the attack on Sony was carried out by Pyongyang.

The NDC accused Obama of taking the lead in encouraging cinemas to screen "The Interview" on Christmas Day. Sony had initially cancelled its release after major US cinema chains said they would not show it, following threats by hackers aimed at cinemagoers.

"Obama always goes reckless in words and deeds like a monkey in a tropical forest," a spokesman for the NDC's policy department said in a statement published by the North's official KCNA news agency.

The corrupt state-corporate media is doing their jobs and running with the “monkey” story today to gin up the maximum amount of outrage with all hands on deck. ABC has “N. Korea Calls Obama 'Monkey' in Hacking Row”.  CNN chimes in with "North Korea lambasts U.S. over 'The Interview,' says Obama is the 'culprit'”. Fox News reports “N. Korea blames US for internet shutdown, hurls racist comment toward Obama” and there are hundreds of other lesser media outlets flogging the same story. Per Fox News, it wasn’t the first time that a high U.S. official has been dissed lately as North Korea – GASP - “called U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry a wolf with a "hideous" lantern jaw”. I am sure that The Interview will continue to play to packed houses of suckers wrapping themselves in the flag throughout the weekend.

So why play up the race card to justify foreign policy goals?  it is fortuitous timing that the Sony hacking and blaming of North Korea happens to coincide with an Obama push to get the ultra-secret Trans Pacific Trade Partnership (TPP) passed. The Washington Post has reported that one of Obama’s first orders of business in the new year will be to cut a deal with Republican leaders to put the TPP put into place despite the average American having zero say in the matter. The sovereignty destroying “free trade” deal has been called "NAFTA on steroids" and we all can see how well that one turned out. It will be far easier selling this latest stabbing in the back of the American people if there is a regional bogeyman - like North Korea and it's deranged leader- to use as justification.

One can only imagine the parade of slobbering, jabbering, self-aggrandizing political monkeys that will adorn the panels of the Sunday morning “news” shows this weekend.

Star Spangled Schmucks Cheer "The Interview" on Christmas Day

The war on Christmas met the unwinnable war on stupidity with the massively overhyped movie The Interview selling out in theaters across the fruited plain on Christmas Day. After a solid week of constant media and official government propaganda selling what now appears to be a hoax the stuffed to the seams stocking full of tastelessness and stupid dick jokes was incredibly turned into a  bizarre“freedom of speech” crusade. We have now passed the point of no return on our long slow crawl towards the dystopian dumbassery of Idiocracy. Nothing shows how free that we are than the patriotic fervor whipped up to defend the rights of a Japanese company to make money selling garbage to Americans.

Give one thing to the repressive dictatorship in North Korea in that they don’t have to work quite so hard to feed propaganda to their people as the U.S. government does. On the day when the world celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ (smothered in consumerism) Americans turned out in droves, dressed up like fools and waving their made in China American flags to strike a blow for “freedom”.  As reported in a story from the website of Reuters entitled “Sony's 'Interview' draws U.S. moviegoers who trumpet free speech”:

"The Interview," the Sony Pictures film about a fictional plot to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, opened in more than 300 movie theaters across the United States on Christmas Day, drawing many sell-out audiences and statements by patrons that they were championing freedom of expression.

Co-directors Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, who also co-stars in the low-brow comedy with James Franco, surprised moviegoers by appearing at the sold-out 12:30 a.m. PT screening of the movie at a theater in Los Angeles, where they briefly thanked fans for their support.

Sony Pictures this week backtracked from its original decision to cancel the release of the $44 million film after major U.S. theater chains pulled out because of threats of violence by Guardians of Peace, a computer hacking group that claimed responsibility for a destructive cyberattack on Sony last month.

AND

An afternoon screening at the Van Nuys Regency Theatres in the city's San Fernando Valley was two-thirds full and drew a diverse crowd ranging from teens to senior citizens, who laughed loudly throughout at Rogen and Franco's antics.

"It was much better than I thought it would be," said Carlos Royal, 45, a professor who came with a friend dressed in Santa hats and took selfies for the occasion in front of the theater's Hollywood sign marquis. "I wanted to support the U.S."

The movie, which is playing in theaters in major metropolitan areas as well as in smaller cities ranging from Bangor, Maine, to Jasper, Indiana, features Rogen and Franco as journalists who are recruited by the CIA to assassinate the North Korean leader.

In Asia, online audiences seemed to find the movie tedious.

"There is no drama and not much fun," said a blogger in South Korea. "It's all about forced comedy that turns you off. Couldn't they have done a better job making this movie?"

The Christmas Day premieres were the culmination of what appears to be one of the sleaziest domestic propaganda campaigns in American history. While the true story of the alleged North Korea hacking and vague “terrorist” threats against theaters may never be known there are by now enough holes in the official government fairy tale to show that Americans have been punked again. Whether our trustworthy “leaders" - President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry –were both sucked into the big con or were a part of it from the get go is open for speculation. Both were able to make big gains though, especially setting up the inevitable shoving of yet another Draconian restrictions on free speech in the waiting in the wings cybersecurity bill down the throats of the sheeple.

But sheep, even if they wrap themselves up in red, white and blue trappings are at the end of the day still sheep and as such are easily led to the slaughterhouse. A Washington Post story on the big event entitled “Seeing ‘The Interview’ on Christmas, for fun and patriotism” shows  just how easy it is to dupe the idiots:

From D.C. to Culpeper, they left their cozy Christmases at home to head out to a Manassas movie theater and — they said — to stand up for free speech.

“I’d normally be making music with my boys on Christmas,” said Ron Oley, 64, of Manassas. But this year, he told them that he wouldn’t be showing up at the recording studio. He had to see “The Interview,” a Seth Rogen-James Franco comedy around which a real-life drama has swirled for weeks.

North Korea didn’t like the story line, a plot to assassinate its leader, Kim Jong Un. Sony Pictures Entertainment was so deeply embarrassed by revelations after hackers broke into the company’s computer systems that it briefly hesitated to release the movie.

“This is a free country. I’m sorry they don’t have that over in their country, but we do. I’m an American,” Oley said while he waited in line at the concession stand.

I am sure that Mr. Oley is unable to see the irony in his silly statement of defiance that he was so easily manipulated to abandon his family on Christmas Day to put money into the pockets of a foreign company but as he says this is a "free country". With a populace like this it is easy to see how we have ended up with the Patriot Act as well as an Orwellian NSA surveillance state that expands daily. There really is nothing quite as pathetic as seeing morons boasting that the dictator Kim Jong Un doesn't tell them what to do yet so meekly surrendering their own civil liberties to a government that is far more refined in it's methods.

Merry Christmas and God Bless America Too!!

Sony to Release "The Interview" as Bizarre Tale Continues to Evolve

The ubiquitous and dyspeptic Senator John McCain is the proverbial gift that keeps on giving. Despite being censured by the Republican party leadership in his home state of Arizona for being too liberal the old war horse continues to be trotted out as the GOP’s go-to guy in the mainstream media. McCain, the shameless political con artist who succeeded "Mr. Conservative" himself in the Senate took to the air to wail that the Sony hacking was an “act of war”. McCain - a man who has never met a foreign policy situation that he would not send Americans off to die for – talks tough but don't expect him to ride the bomb down into the center of Pyongyang ala Major T.J. "King" Kong in Dr. Strangelove because he was just warming up. Better get used to seeing McCain a lot more too. The GOP takeover of the Senate has given him an even bigger megaphone with an Armed Forces Committee chairmanship from which he can bray endlessly to the delight of the presstitutes and stenographers in the corrupt media.

Emperor Barack Obama didn’t go as far as Senator “boots on the ground” did and as of Sunday was calling the mysterious breach an act of “cyber vandalism”  while vaguely vowing retaliation. Monday it was announced to much hoopla that the internet in North Korea went down which media outlets and political braggarts treated as an early Christmas present. It was a bit underwhelming though considering that the target country is a repressive, ass-backwards dictatorship of the worst type in which speech and communication are severely restricted.

As reported by Reuters in a story entitled “Downing North Korea's Internet not much of a scalp”:

If someone did just knock North Korea off the Internet for half a day, it wouldn't have taken much.

With barely 1,000 Internet addresses, one Internet service provider and one connection to the outside world via China, North Korea's cyberlinks are negligible - barely one percent of that of Afghanistan, a similarly impoverished country with a roughly comparable population.

By the same token, closing down the links wouldn't have had much of an effect within North Korea. For internal online communications it uses a closed Intranet network, but that was apparently not affected, according to officials across the border in the South.

North Korea is "one of the least connected countries in the world," said Matthew Prince, CEO of U.S.-based CloudFlare, which, among other services, protects websites against web-based attacks.

The Obama regime played down the  U.S. involvement in the internet takedown. State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf - who resembles one of the Hanson brothers in drag - refused to acknowledge any efforts to send a message to North Korea. As reported by a story from the website of ABC News:

"We aren't going to discuss publicly operational details about the possible response options or comment on those kind of reports in any way except to say that as we implement our responses, some will be seen, some may not be seen," Harf said. "So I can't confirm those reports, but in general, that's what the president has spoken to."

Batshit crazy North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, the target of a fictional assassination plot in the much hyped movie The Interview used the saber rattling by McCain and the rest of the useful idiots to grab some media attention of his own. Dear Leader (not to be confused with our own Obama) emerged to vow revenge against the Great Satan in America and specifically the White House. But story of the movie itself - The Interview – the centerpiece of the Sony hack story which has now been slated for release after initially being pulled may be more than meets the eye.

The whole tale just bears a funny smell and has from the beginning. Could it have been either a false flag or an inside job? Both are legitimate questions that need to be considered. This is even more so now that Sony is releasing  The Interview in hundreds of theaters on Christmas Day. Turns out that the whole sordid soiree was the best publicity that it ever could have received. Millions of dollars and hundreds of hours of free advertising by the mainstream media beating the sheeple over the head with the two most ass-kicking clubs in the bag: fear and patriotism.

FALSE FLAG: The “terrorist” threats against the movie theaters came at a perfect time, just as Congress is set to further stomp the big jackboot down on the privacy rights of Americans with an insane cybersecurity bill. All the usual suspects including outgoing House Intelligence Committee commissar Mike Rogers, the biggest pimp for the imposition of American fascism in recent years have been doing their best to close the deal. Rogers hit Fox News Sunday to spew his horseshit before officially departing his gig for a new one in talk radio. What is never divulged about Rogers is that he is a former fed himself and that his wife worked as a lobbyist for the very telecommunications industry that would benefit tremendously by the new cybersecurity regulations.

Not surprisingly, Senator Dianne Feinstein, the outgoing queen of Senate Intelligence Committee who has served as an impenetrable firewall of cellulite between the NSA Stasi and accountability also called for a crackdown. Easily cowed and duped Americans have already proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that they will meekly surrender their liberty at whatever bogeyman that the government conjures up at any given time and the timing of this hoopla sure is suspicious.

Stories have Surfaced that within the cache of hacked Sony emails there were references to contact with unnamed members of the State Department.  The references seem to indicate some level of involvement in the hopes that the movie would encourage an actual assassination of the North Korean whack-job. Don't forget that is the same State Department that is headed up by abject moron John “Skull and Bones” Kerry, the incompetent, stammering ass of a buffoon from Massachusetts who like fellow failed presidential candidate McCain should just go away.

INSIDE JOB: Or it could have been engineered by Sony insiders to create publicity for from what from early accounts is a silly, tasteless, box office bomb of a movie. The hacking may have been the work of a disgruntled former insider and the North Korea angle provides a good cover. Sony executives were reportedly already dreading the imminent failure of the movie in overseas markets and it may not have been a hit in the U.S.A. either. There are only so many consumers of low-brow entertainment chock full of stupid dick jokes, sexual crudity, stoner references and scatological humor. It seems that the one most impressed is entitled Hollywood shitbag  Seth Rogen, the star of the movie. In a cover story from Rolling Stone magazine Rogen aka "Hollywood's Stoner King" gushes about - get this - the sound of a very small missile being inserted up his character's asshole:

Eventually they arrive at a scene where Rogen's character is, in the interest of international espionage, called upon to hide a small missile inside his rectum. (It's that kind of movie.) They play the moment back a few times, Rogen and Goldberg cracking up every time. Finally, Goldberg speaks up. "I'm wondering if it sounds too slimy . . . going into his butt?"

"Come on!" Rogen says.

"I'm not saying it's too gross! I'm just thinking about laughter."

"It's pretty funny," counters Rogen. "You want, like, a slurp? A scrape-y sound? A sandpaper-y, scrape-y sound?"

"Maybe just a slight suction-y sound," Goldberg says. The sound guy punches a few buttons, and a slight suction-y sound fills the theater. Rogen and Goldberg double over in laughter. "Ha!" says Rogen. "My butt is sucking the missile

Now that Sony will be raking in the dough from the change of heart in releasing their piece of crap movie after all, that sucking sound should extend to all Americans who were just played like chumps - AGAIN.

Marco Rubio Can Eat a Bag of Salsa-Flavored Dicks

It was the most hilarious thing of all when prospective 2016 Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul took to social media to call out Florida Senator Marco Rubio for being an “isolationist”. Rubio, who must be horrified to be watching his political career go up in smoke after Emperor Obama’s shocking reversal of decades of U.S. policy towards Cuba can probably be forgiven for being a little bitchy this past week. The ambitious young Floridian had managed to perform the equivalent of the splitting of the atom by becoming the self-anointed GOP authority on all things Hispanic. Never forget that he was for "immigration reform" which is the politically correct term for "amnesty for illegal aliens" before  flip-flopping to be against it. It was an act of triangulation that would even do the old Jedi master Slick Willie Clinton proud.

But Rubio has now gone totally batshit - which can be expected of one who slimes around with the likes of John McCain and Lindsey Graham - and has taken to directing his fire at Rand Paul, the sworn enemy of state-worshipping “conservatives”. In a piece from the Beltway political gossip website Politico “Rubio fires back at Paul” the salsa-soaked bitch fit continued:

Their fight isn’t over.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio struck back at Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul late Friday as the first battle of the GOP primary spilled over to Twitter and splashed across Facebook then resumed on the airwaves, a preview of the Republican Party’s coming cage match over foreign policy.

“I think it’s unfortunate that Rand has decided to adopt Barack Obama’s foreign policy on [Cuba],” Rubio told radio host Mark Levin. “[He] basically repeated the talking points of the president. And that’s fine, he has every right to support the president’s foreign policy, that’s who he wants to line up with, but I’m telling you, it isn’t going to work.”

Rubio said improving relations with Cuba will only put more money in the hands of the Cuban military instead of its citizens.

The line about Rand Paul embracing Obama’s policies is hysterical considering that before Rubio realized that he would have to navigate the brutal gauntlet of the GOP primaries he himself was a huge backer of amnesty. One who is familiar with Rubio's ways just might suspect that the real thing that truly sticks in his craw about the whole Cuban “normalization” plan is that he didn’t come up with the idea first. All of that Chamber of Commerce money would have practically rained from the sky upon his campaign if he had and he knows it. Rubio’s meteoric rise to a national political figure was largely a result of his latching a ride on the tea party bandwagon in the great mid-term backlash of 2010 despite being a phony. It was only going to be a matter of time until he exposed his true colors and had his rice bowl broken. He was sniffed out pretty quickly too and isn't going to fool people so easily again.

The entire Cuban issue is enormously complicated and saturated with emotion. This is especially so now that Cold War dinosaurs are slowly being sucked under by the great tar pit of time and they aren't going quietly. While Fidel Castro is certainly a dictatorial bastard he is not long upon this mortal coil and the potential for the development of Cuba as a capitalist market has American corporations salivating. If there is anything that is going to dislodge the Commie parasite from the Cuban host it is an introduction to a form of society that embraces free-markets, free expression and puts it on a path towards modernization. It is more than a little hypocritical to rage against Cuba yet turn a blind eye to doing business with China which is arguably a much more repressive country. There is however all of that debt that has been racked up with Beijing over the years by our illustrious leaders.

There is also the matter of the role of the Pope in brokering the deal. While he is no hero to staunch conservatives given his comments critical of capitalism you would think that the position would still exert some moral authority. Fifty years of economic isolation have failed to either dislodge the bearded devil in Havana or improve the day to day lives of ordinary Cubans. As unpalatable as it may seem to many the best thing for both Cuba and American business to do is to bury the hatchet and move on. Sure, there is the indignity of having old Fidel still around to gloat but that is a temporary problem because Raul will be singing Yankee Doodle Dandy and living high off the hog when the day comes when he can piss on his brother’s grave. Money talks, and you will see that is even the case in Cuba once Castro finally croaks.

One thing is certain though and that is that the two-party criminal syndicate is terrified of Rand Paul because he is forward-thinking and has the ability to grasp the political Holy Grail that is crossover appeal. Republicans had best very quickly realize that continuing to milk the Cold War animus of a rapidly decreasing demographic as an issue in 2016 is only going to put Hillary Clinton into the White House.

Rubio will be given the limelight Sunday morning to do his shtick on ABC's This Week With George Stephanopolous who will no doubt be delighted by his Tony Montana style staccato diatribe against Obama and Paul.

Culture Warrior Neighbor States Declare War on Legalized Pot in Colorado

In what could be a blow to states’ rights Colorado voters face having their will nullified by two bible thumper infested neighbor states as well as the meddlesome federal government. In a lawsuit filed with the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday – States of Nebraska and Oklahoma v. State of Colorado – the border states are seeking to overturn the amendment making marijuana legal. Not all voters were a mile high when the first pot stores threw open their doors for business on January 1, 2014 and the hardened culture warriors are fighting back in the biggest clash between states since the breakup of the old Big Eight. Not to be insensitive towards the sincere beliefs of others but it is the very bedrock fundamental of a democracy that people are able to make their choices at the ballot box and the majority wins. I get it that it sucks when you lose but once the votes have been cast the losers have somewhat of an obligation to fuck off and go away.

Outside of Denver metro area, the state is a crazy quilt of hard core religious fundamentalism, old school western style conservatism and free-spirited libertarianism and it was inevitable that there would be a backlash over the legalizing of pot. What is troubling though is the interference of other states in what should solely be the business of Colorado residents. As reported by The Denver Post in a story entitled “Nebraska and Oklahoma sue Colorado over marijuana legalization”:

In the most serious legal challenge to date against Colorado's legalization of marijuana, two neighboring states have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to strike down the history-making law.
Nebraska and Oklahoma filed the lawsuit directly with the nation's highest court on Thursday. The two states argue in the lawsuit that, "the State of Colorado has created a dangerous gap in the federal drug control system."

"Marijuana flows from this gap into neighboring states, undermining Plaintiff States' own marijuana bans, draining their treasuries, and placing stress on their criminal justice systems," the lawsuit alleges.

Colorado Attorney General John Suthers said in a statement that he will defend the state's legalization of marijuana, saying that the lawsuit is, "without merit."

"Because neighboring states have expressed concern about Colorado-grown marijuana coming into their states, we are not entirely surprised by this action," Suthers said. "However, it appears the plaintiffs' primary grievance stems from non-enforcement of federal laws regarding marijuana, as opposed to choices made by the voters of Colorado."

Colorado voters in 2012 passed Amendment 64, which legalized use and limited possession of marijuana by anyone over 21. The new law, tied for the first in the nation to widely legalize marijuana at the state level, came after more than a decade of legal use and possession of marijuana in Colorado for certain medical purposes.

Stores able to sell up to an ounce of marijuana to any adult with a Colorado I.D. — or a quarter ounce to any adult with an out-of-state I.D. — opened on Jan. 1 this year. So far, recreational marijuana stores in Colorado have made more than $300 million in sales in 2014. The lawsuit does not target Colorado's separate medical marijuana system, where registered patients must be Colorado residents.

Nebraska and Oklahoma's complaint argues that Colorado does not have authority to pass laws that conflict with the federal prohibition on marijuana. Doing so, the states claim, violates the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution.

One could suspect that this move has much less to do with interstate drug trafficking than a desire to impose a narrow-minded moral judgment upon others. If Coloradans wanted to be subjected to the whims of entrenched culture warriors in Nebraska and Oklahoma they would move there. It is the same type of sneering contempt exhibited by Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber in his denouncing of Americans as too stupid to know what is for their own good. Whether that is entirely the case is up for debate but in fragmented late 2014 America cultural disputes bleed over into damned near everything as they have for decades. Perhaps there is even some degree of petty jealousy involved when considering that taxing marijuana sales has provided Colorado with a badly needed infusion of revenue.

The feds will wholeheartedly throw in with Nebraska and Oklahoma given the level of systemic corruption and cash that is at stake in a government long ago gone to seed. The legalizing of the devil weed is a threat to the ongoing ripoff that is the civil liberties destroying war on drugs as well as all of the state sanctioned looting enabled by drug-related asset confiscation programs. This is why police unions have fought tooth, fang and nail against eliminating the prohibition on pot. Other stakeholders in the war on letting people do whatever the hell that they damned well please – which is what a “free” country should practice – are the pharmaceutical and alcohol lobbies. The liberty-haters in Washington will gladly enlist the help of put-upon conservative populists to protect their sacred cash cows and keep the war on drugs as well as keeping the for-profit prison gulags stocked with warm bodies.

Marijuana is no more dangerous than what you can pick up legally for $10 or less down at your local liquor store. Alcohol is by far the most socially damaging drug and it is widely available – even in states like Nebraska and Oklahoma with their ridiculous blue laws - yet it is a multi-billion dollar a year industry.

It all stinks of hypocrisy just like everything else in Obamastan.

Stocking Full of Cynicism: Obama Sticks It to a Handful of Dying Nazis

President Barack Obama, the high priest of pandering was at it again on Thursday to sign a bill stripping a handful of aging Nazis of their Social Security benefits. The bill had originally gotten media play earlier this month when McClatchy reported that the House of Representatives had voted 420-0 to waste millions of taxpayer dollars on getting payback against a pack of fossilized rat bastard war criminals who will all be dead soon anyway.

For Obama, who seems to believe that this latest dog and pony show somehow makes him into a darker complected version of Simon Wiesenthal or something it is the politics of cynicism taken to another level. The bill is now law although none of those show-boating “representatives” of the American people seem to have bothered to consider making the Nazis pay any of that Social Security money back.

The Associated Press reports on this scam in an online story via Yahoo News entitled “Obama signs legislation ending US benefit checks for Nazis” from which I excerpt:

President Barack Obama on Thursday capped a swift and forceful response to an Associated Press investigation by signing into law a measure that bars suspected Nazi war criminals from receiving U.S. government pension benefits, known as Social Security.

AP's investigation, which was the impetus for the No Social Security for Nazis Act, found that dozens of former Nazis collected millions of dollars in retirement benefits after being forced to leave the United States. Recipients ranged from the SS guards who patrolled the Third Reich's network of camps where millions of Jews died to a rocket scientist who helped develop the V-2 rocket that Nazi Germany used to attack London.

The speed with which the legislation moved underscored the outrage AP's findings triggered among lawmakers in Congress — and American taxpayers. The House unanimously approved the bill Dec. 2 and the Senate passed it by voice vote just two days later.

AND

The bill signed into law by Obama terminates Social Security payments for individuals stripped of their American citizenships due to their participation in Nazi persecutions during World War II. U.S. law previously mandated a higher threshold — a final order of deportation — before a person's Social Security benefits could be terminated.

By lowering the threshold to loss of citizenship, a step known as denaturalization, the bill effectively shuts a loophole that for years had allowed suspected Nazis to continue receiving benefits even after being expelled from the U.S. for their roles in Third Reich's atrocities.

AP found that since 1979 at least 38 of 66 suspects removed from the United States kept their Social Security benefits. Many of these former Nazis got in to the U.S. after the war by lying about their pasts and eventually became U.S. citizens.

Like good old Joe “Foghorn Leghorn” Biden would put it “this is a big f*cking deal” - at least for those who are impressed by futile and stupid political gestures. Everyone hates Nazis so it can be touted as another example of the triumph of bipartisanship like the “Cromnibus” with its amnesty for illegals and hidden Wall Street bailouts.  But when you consider that U.S. intelligence agencies actually saved high level war criminals from the gallows and used taxpayer money to pay them very nicely it is clear that the "No Social Security for Nazis Act" is as phony as it gets. This is nothing more than pandering to the Jewish vote which in consideration of how smashingly that Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu get along won’t likely win many hearts and minds. Right-wing Zionist Jews would sooner see Obama dancing the jig at the end of a rope than give the bastard credit for anything.

Every day that Obama and the swinish Congress continue to feed like blood-engorged ticks off the taxpayer dole only provides more damning evidence of the evils of a government gone rogue.

America F*CK YEAH! Team America Movie Pulled as Panic Grips Nation

The increasingly bizarre story of the terrorist threats against movie theaters showing the now effectively banned film The Interview continues. Shortly after the movie – which depicts the assassination of loony North Korean leader Kim Jong Un - was pulled from distribution the 2004 flick Team America: World Police was also yanked. The stomping on the latter, that a few theaters chose to show in place of  The Interview is notable because the movie has been out for ten years now and is widely available on DVD and streaming video. It is typical in the land of fear that is post September 11, 2001 America that such overreactions so often occur. The federal government has battered the populace into a quivering mass of jelly in order to justify their gutting of the Constitution and aiding and abetting the creation of a massive and lucrative surveillance industrial complex.

While the terrorist threats against theaters were never really substantiated outside of inferences by the lie factory that is the US government that North Korea -and now Iran, China and Russia according to a FOX exclusive- (har har) were behind them, The Interview movie has now been pretty much permanently shelved by Sony but the movie likely would have been a disaster anyway. This would seem to be not only caving in to the “terrorists” but also setting a precedent that any borderline whacko group can bring American business to a screeching halt. The new era of cyber-warfare has now officially begun with the Sony hacking being the first shot. Former Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich says as much with his damning comments from a CNN op-ed entitled “America lost the cyberwar over Sony: Now what?”:

No one should underestimate the historic importance of the North Korean cyberwar against America and the collapse of American defenses in the Sony Pictures attack.

This was not some amusing pop culture event in which a few "hackers" played games with celebrities.

This was not an entertaining series of embarrassing leaks that allowed us to learn how viciously and nastily some senior Hollywood bosses write about famous movie stars in internal emails.

This was a deliberate assault on sovereign American soil against an American company, costing it millions of dollars in direct damages and hundreds of millions in reputational damages while blocking most of its employees from using their internal systems to get routine work done.
This was a threatened physical assault against moviegoers and movie theaters nationwide if they ignored the cyberattack and dared to laugh at the North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

Some commentators criticized the movie theaters for their "cowardice" in not standing up to the threats. Others criticized the rest of the movie industry for not coming to the defense of Sony.

The column is vintage Gingrich and is chock full of the type of bombastic rhetoric that the former Speaker of the House always whips around like shovels of bloody red meat. While what Gingrich seems to be calling for are even more Draconian forms of a big government surveillance state - and a chilling smackdown of critics of censorship- he does have one thing dead right. If the North Korean regime is behind the Sony hacking as well as the threats against movie theaters then America has indeed lost the first cyber-war. Gingrich is as full of shit as anyone in this country but you have begrudgingly give him credit on this one even if it is drenched in a trough of fascist pigshit.

This is what happens when the NSA is more interested in spying and data-mining every detail on millions of loyal, law-abiding American citizens instead of defending against foreign threats. Perhaps Obama’s Stasi should have spent less time filling that massive data storage facility out in Utah and more time focusing on defending those American companies that Gingrich is wailing about. Never mind that Sony America is a subsidiary of a Japanese corporation but hey, like Bluto in Animal House why stop him when he is on a roll.

Give the media credit for getting The Interview and Team America effectively banned in a blow to freedom of speech and expression. The sleazy 24/7 cable driven news cycle and the armies of talking heads and big-haired bimbos staring into teleprompters are great at scaring the bejesus out of the sheeple. Quite frankly, at the end of the day their very jobs depend on it and they understand that. Americans must have whiplash from the onslaught of hyped up “terrorist” threats and dread that they are subjected to by the government, former government figures now making their coin as “experts” (like Newt Gingrich) and a propaganda machine that would make Joseph Goebbels himself proud.

It is almost like the mainstream media acts as a public relations front for any and all anti-American groups - ISIS for example - and is able to spread their hateful messages far more effectively than the groups themselves ever could. The P.R. is all free of charge too and arguably only serves to enable a continuation of threats and beheadings given the saturation coverage they are provided with.

Fear is home for Christmas. America FUCK YEAH!
